some of you may know i got sex*ally assualted by my supervisor this week
and i cannot afford to leave my current job. i reported it to our union rep and am currently waiting for action to be taken against him. i’d really appreciate any help and all help with making rent in the meantime while i look for other seasonal work. my goal is $700 and however close i can get to that would be a great blessing to me and my family and my mental/physical health.

It has been a hard few years with the passing of my mother and having to abandon my childhood home after it was foreclosed but it’s taken a turn for the worst.
For the last 4 years I’ve been living with my father and stepmother, trying to find gainful employment so I could eventually move out on my own but in my area where the average hourly income is around $9.00 and rent prices for a 1 bedroom apartment average $650+ it didn’t look promising.
Nevertheless I continued to search for gainful employment that would allow me to afford to move out but in the meantime I found part time work after my last position ended and kept searching for full time work and finally after 3 years of applications and interviews I was offered a great position that would pay well enough for me to move out in the next 6 months but that was cut short when I flew out of state for training for my new job and was informed by my father that my stepmother was kicking me out as soon as I returned.
I am devastated and terrified because when I return “home” I will no longer have one. This fundraiser will be to raise money for first and last month’s rent and deposit on a place as well as a bed (as I do not have one and have been using a spare one) and deposits on utilities. This is my first time attempting to do all of this and isn’t the way I wanted it to go but in words of the great Tiffany “New York” Pollard, “bitch I’m here.”
Anything you can give will be amazing. I’ve found a few potential places that I hope will serve as my very first place with your help.

At around 3:30pm this afternoon a fire broke out in my apartment building. My family as well as many others have been evacuated and put into a shelter for the time being. We are supposed to be getting help to find a hotel, but it is not clear how long it will be before we will be able to return home. All of our belongings have been left behind.
Any help would be appreciated, for food, clothes, and to afford to stay in a hotel until we can return home.
We ppreciate any donations of any amount, and if you are not in a position to donate, I only ask you share this with someone who may be able to help my family and I at this time.
