"oh Astarion is SOOOO effeminate" wrong. You are judging Astarion by human genders. Astarion is first and foremost a high elf and by high elf standards he is actually INCREDIBLY masc. Other high elves look at him and he reminds them of that one annoying straight guy in their elf-economics (elfenomics if you will) class in elf-college who loved playing devil's advocate. And then they see him kiss a guy and they almost die of shock.

One of Gale’s biggest green flags is how quickly he will learn about his partner’s culture and language or how he learns about their skills and tries to become good at what they do too. Part of this is his drive to explore and be good at everything but a bigger part is that his way of expressing love is through intellectual curiosity.

My headcanon for playing a durge cleric to some good aligned god is that pre-worm durge used it as a cover and didn't actually worship that god... but when they woke up with no memories they just kind of assumed they really were a cleric and started actually worshipping/becoming a cleric 4real
