Fic Request: Tony loved, supported, and protected by the guardians of the galaxy, while Team Cap tries to fight (unsuccessfully) for Tony's attention

I’m not gonna lie, I wrote this in my glitching phone with really iffy characterization for the Guardians of the Galaxy characters. Here you go though:

Tony meets the so called ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ when their ship crashes and the UN sends the Avengers to investigate. Of course by this point the Avengers are simply Vision and Tony, occasionally Peter, but they go anyways Tony once again forcing himself to put on the suit and ignore the memories of the chest plate being ground down into the tender scar tissue below.

Vision leans forwards to rip the door of the ship open right as it’s inhabitant throws it open. Tony can’t help but start as he makes direct eye contact with what appears to be a raccoon with a gun.

He hesitates only for a moment before clearing his throat. “Do you speak English?”

“What planet is this,” the Racoon asks before he turns his head back to scream into the ship. “Quill, come deal with these things!”

“This is Earth,” Vision answers serenely as Tony attempts to process that the animal does in fact speak. “May we ask why you’ve landed here?”

The raccoon opens his mouth to reply, but is cut off by the appearance of a green woman who snaps at him. “Say nothing Rocket, we know nothing about them.”

“This isn’t my first rodeo,” the animal, Rocket, snarls at her.

“I am the Vision, and this is Ironman,” the android introduces them. “We’ve been sent by the United Nations to determine whether you pose a threat to society.”

“Depends,” Rocket smiles, “Got any shit for us to steal?”

A man, who appears to be human, suddenly surfaces behind the other two. “Sorry I took so long, what’s this about?”

“What’s your intent here on earth?” Tony finally asks as he takes off the helmet to make eye contact with him. “Because I have a ton of other shit right now and I don’t need to deal with another alien invasion.”

“I’m Peter,” the man tells them. Then he jerks a thumb at his two companions, “This is Gamora, and that’s Rocket. We also have Groot and Drax onboard. We weren’t actually planning on invading we kinda crashed.”

Tony digs the heels of his hands into his eyes, “How long will it take you to repair your ship?”

“I don’t know,” Rocket scowls, “You showed up and interrupted me in the middle of the diagnostics!”

“A week?” Peter guesses with a shrug. “The thermal protection unit is down.”

“Very well,” Vision says, “We’ll have to request you come meet with the UN than, at the very least so that we can prevent a global panic.”

“Another one, you mean.” Tony mutters under his breath his eyes flicking down towards his chest.

Eventually, the Avengers manage to get all of the Guardians except for Drax to come with them. The Guardians simply refused to leave the ship alone, and decided that Drax’s literalness would contribute the most confusion to their discussion with the UN.

Tony does his best not to stare at the fact that the plant Rocket is carrying is most definitely alive and moving. Instead he focuses on what happening in the UN meeting, trying not to remember what happened with the last group of so called heros you he’d been here with.

Eventually, everything is sorted out except for where the ship repairs and Guardians housing will be. Tony hasn’t been listening for a while now, not when Vision’s voice still makes him mourn for Jarvis.

“We could stay with Mr. Stark,” Quill says, catching his attention. Tony bites his lip. “The compound is available, and Vis can keep an eye on them when I’m gone.”

And that’s that, Tony finds himself caring for yet another superhero team.

However this team tries not to take advantage of him, promising to compensate him once they figure out how to convert credits to American momdollars.

Tony can’t help but become fast friends with them all. It’s not like with the Avengers where they didn’t understand how much effort she Tony put into their care. These criminal heros he met days ago somehow manage to be more thoughtful than a team of superheroes he’d known for years.

It isn’t automatic, but Tony comes to appreciate all of the guardians in a way he never could the Avengers. Rocket and him share a love of mechanics, Peter and him for music. He has a healthy respect for Gamora who reminds him of how Natasha could’ve been. As for Drax and Groots, he finds them funny and cute respectively.At When the Guardians repair their ship, Tony can’t help the sadness that fills him. He knows they have to leave, has been anticipating it, but he still can’t help but wish they could stay longer.

“Don’t worry,” Peter winks at him, “We’ll be back soon.”

And they are; the Guardians attempt to visit once a month minimum, often bringing him and Vision small trinkets from their travels.

“Do I want to know where you got this?” Tony asks once.

There’s a small pause on Peter’s end, “Probably not.”

“You know what,” Tony sighs, “It’s not my Jurisdiction, i only work on Earth.”

When they return and discover that the Rouge Avengers are due to come back for trial next week, they refuse to leave.

“As if we would leave you to deal with them alone,” Gamora grumbles when Tony asks why. “We’re friends.”

Tony manages to secure permission from the UN for the Guardians to come with him when the time for the prison transfer occurs. The Rouge Avengers had turned themselves in, and so T’challa would hand them over to Tony to bring to the UN today. Still, Tony didn’t want to be their alone. He couldn’t help that when he looked at them all he could see is red.

“They don’t deserve your respect,” Rocket tells him. “If they only turned themselves in after years of you revising the accords, of working for this, than they’re assholes who don’t really believe in the accords. Don’t respect them, and don’t trust them.”

“I am Groot!”

The Guardians and Vision stand behind Tony as he talks to T’challa and forces the Rouge Avengers to wait on him.

“Tony,” Steve calls out when he steps into the empty tarmac they’re meeting.

Rockets words echo in his head as Tony ignores Steve; he’s a criminal after all, and not even a simple thief like the Guardians. Steve is a terrorist, through and through.

“Thank you for overseeing their arrest, King T’challa,” Tony says as he firmly shakes the other man’s hand.

“Thank you for taking them,” T’challa says. “I am glad that we were able to work this out.”

There’s a snort behind Tony and a snide, “about time,” that Tony knows comes from Peter.

Both T’challa and Tony ignore him in favor of making their way over to the Rogues.

“Follow me,” Tony demands coolly before turning on a heel and making his way to the quinjet.

“Tony,” Steve calls out as they board, “How are you, how’s Rhodey?”

“Don’t say his name!” Tony hisses, glaring at him.

Drax comes to stand behind Tony, “I would sit down now, so we can secure your restraints”.

Steve glares at him defiantly, before finally taking a seat. The Guardians walk around to ensure none of the rogues can make any kind of escape, before they are content enough to sit back and watch from a distance.

“Are these really necessary?” Clint asks, shaking his hands and with them the chains that hang down.

“Yes,” Gamora tells him glaring. “And if you move I will not hesitate to harm you.”

Clint slowly lowers his arms and Wanda glowers at Tony, “So these are the kinds of people you work with now, alien thugs who are willing to hurt normal humans.”

“Better than terrorists,” Tony informs her bitingly. “Besides, she threatened to restrain a known criminal with a history of violence whereas with you guys I couldn’t even be sure that one wouldn’t be invited to live in my home.”

“What is that supposed to mean?” Steve asks, and he sounds so confused.

Peter rolls his eyes, “It means Wanda messed with his mind and worked with Nazi’s but you still invited her to live with him. We understand friendship, we wouldn’t do that to him”.

“That isn’t how it-”

“Shut up!” Rocket screams, “No one gives a shit what you have to say.”

There’s a brief silence, until Vision speaks up.

“Thank you, Rocket.”

The fact that in one of the newer Avenger issues Doom turns “good” because he “respects” Tony (one of the only people he actually respects) while meanwhile all the heroes in the MCU are still shitting on Tony is just so sad to me.

So why does Team Iron Man get blamed for the violence during the superpowered free-for-all when

Stark gave Cap the chance at a peaceful resolution initially.

Stark took in Underoos Spiderling Spiderman specifically as agent apprehend which is exactly what happens through most of his skirmishes—he’s there to web shit up, not get into a fistfight. He’s there specifically to limit the amount of damage that would take place. Stark clearly took him aside and discussed tactics with him on how to do this with as little violence as possivle.

STARK’S ENTIRE REASON FOR BRINGING HIS TEAM OUT THERE IS TO APPREHEND NOT MAIM/ATTACK.  

STARK NEEDS TO APPREHEND BECAUSE HE’S BEEN GIVEN THE ULTIMATUM TO EITHER GET HIS FRIENDS IN CHECK OR ROSS WILL. He literally has to beg Ross to allow him to try do this as peacefully as possible before the government got seriously involved with no scruples. 

Guess who accidentally ends up flinging a burning tanker in the opposing team’s direction, turning the situation from OK to deadly? NOT TEAM STARK is who. 

Guess who also tells their team mate not to pull any punches while battling a friend and proceeds to blast said friend hard to make up for the slack. 

Also go ahead and take a third guess on who flings a fifteen year old they clearly identified as a kid into a column and then drops a bypass on him. NOT the same person who gave him a vastly superior battle suit designed to protect him and told him to stop fighting when things finally got too messy for webs to handle.

Are we even watching the same film or…?  PS: Do we also really think Peter who idolizes both Stark and Cap would, in having watched the news and wanting to help in some way actually chosen to go with Cap being a fifteen-year old who can’t go to Germany because he ‘has homework’. If he had to be on a side, the side that the government wasn’t hunting down who also agreed to give him an upgraded suit so he could crimefight better and told him every safety measure to make it so he could go home to Aunt May would have been the most logical side to be on. 

Look, I like Cap and understand his love for Bucky and that he’s not ready to trust being under another jurisdiction of people just yet but let’s be real; his team and he made some bad decisions throughout this entire thing too. 

 Get to grips with it.

me: wow this fanfic is good except it said only Tony was betrayed by his familial figures which is not true but I'll try to enjoy it anyway

me: Bruce Banner's father repeatedly abused him and his mother that eventually culminated in the murder of Rebecca and is a major part of where the Hulk's anger comes from. Clint Barton's dad was abusive and his brother betrayed and backstabbed him, after leading him into a life of crime. Odin is shown to care for his son somewhat yet he emotionally abuses Thor and was part of the problem that led to Loki's betrayal that left Thor emotionally wrecked about losing his baby brother (who was an asshole but that's a whole 'nother story).

me: while Tony Stark undoubtedly faced emotional (and possible physical) abuse from his Father and was betrayed by his father figure, most of the Avengers faced similar or worse situations that I am angry to see ignored for the sake of woobifying your fave

me: tl;dr feel free to write fics exploring the emotional scars left on your fave but you would have a much more engaging story if you also explored how all of the Avengers had shitty childhoods and that is a reason they could bond

4R’s: Encantadia Season 2 (April 12, 2017 mid week-ender episode review)

Episode 193

Recap:

Haliyah, goddess of two moons

Just as Cassiopeia hoped for, a beautiful goddess descended from the moon. Her enchanting voice immediately caught the attention of Cassiopeia, from the way she looks, Cassiopeia already knew that she was a goddess, and she’s none other than Haliyah. But when the latter saw her, she immediately went back to her home. Cassiopeia pleaded and tried to summon Haliyah back but failed, Cassiopeia heard another voice and told her she won’t be able to talk to Haliyah because she is elusive, she doesn’t like getting in touch with other creatures which is why she chose to live in the moon. Cassiopeia wondered who that was, not long after, a strange creature emerged from the stream.

Why, why love?

Alena was angry at what Memfes did with the Adamyans and immediately searched for him. Memfes appeared and made a deal once again with the sang’gre, marry him in exchange for the Adamyan’s freedom, once again, Alena refused his proposal and fought him instead. Because of her anger, Alena unleashed the power of the water gem and accidentally hurt Memfes, Alena realized what she did and became worried about him. Turns out, Memfes was actually fine and was unaffected, the chief of the Gunikars vowed to make Alena fall for him.

Ariana has been training non-stop in Lireo. Ybrahim has been watching her every move, and it reminded him so much of how Amihan fights back then. Manik came and told him how proud he is for having a beautiful wife-to-be, something which surprised Ybrahim. Manik explained that Ariana was betrothed to him as part of following their tribe’s customs, Manik knew Ybrahim feels something towards Ariana and low-key stated to stay away from his woman.

The thief in Etheria

Pirena and Deshna went to Etheria, the younger Hathor warned Pirena not to make her a bait once again. Hitano came and found the sisters, he also found out what the two had been up to. Pirena and Deshna wanted to make it to Etheria without anyone noticing and came up with a plan to make Hitano a bait to trick the Etherian soldiers, Hitano agreed, but only in one condition, if the sisters does not make it back right away, he’ll follow them. The three proceeded with their plan. Hitano made the soldiers run after him while Pirena and Deshna sneaked inside. Pirena and Deshna already made it inside and fought the soldiers guarding Avria’s room, not long after, Asval and Andora came and called their queen to tell her that there was an intruder in Etheria—Hitano. Avria reminded Hitano about the deal Etheria made with Lireo, Hitano bluffed that he was just strolling around Etheria which Asval refused to believe and even accused him of being a spy. Andora suggested to punish him or kill him (which was impossible since Hitano is an ivtre) but Avria did not allow that and set him free instead, after all she made a deal with Danaya and she still has the water gem to obtain.

Hitano went back to Lireo and informed Danaya about what Pirena and Deshna has been up to, and through the help of Imaw’s cane they found out that Pirena wanted to obtain Etheria’s golden hourglass which has the power to turn back time, Danaya already knew Pirena wanted to go back to the time when Cassiopeia’s island was under attack to save Mira. But it wasn’t the time for Pirena to do such thing for it will ruin their plans and the temporary ceasefire will be voided.

The sisters went to Avria’s room where the golden hourglass was but Pirena got disappointed to find out that the hourglass was no longer there. Avria sensed that there is another intruder in Lireo and immediately ordered her soldiers to search the entire palace. Avria went back to her room and found out that the hourglass has been stolen and suspected that it could be the diwatas to committed the crime.

Pirena went back to the camp and was very frustrated, all of her hopes to save Mira has vanished. Deshna calmed her sister down and thought that Avria might have placed the hourglass somewhere else, desperate, Pirena went back to Etheria and confronted Avria. Pirena demanded for the hourglass and warned Avria of how their meeting will end up if Avria does not give her what she wants. Danaya came and stopped Pirena from whatever she was trying to do and apologized to Avria, Danaya took Pirena away. Another misunderstanding emerged between the eldest and the youngest daughter of Mine-a, Danaya reminded her that her decision to back out from the war was for the safety of everyone and told Pirena to stop being selfish. Pirena resented that idea, for all she ever wanted was to regain what she lost. Until now, she hasn’t accepted her daughter and Lira’s deaths and will do everything to get them back. Danaya and Pirena engaged in battle, Avria who has been watching them through her staff was fascinated at how the sisters were trying to kill each other, but still wondered who stole the hourglass.

In the woods, Hagorn was all alone, carrying something. Etheria’s most powerful tool, apparently he was the one who stole it for his own purposes.

Rave/s:

💛 I.love.Danaya’s blue and gold warrior costume! Reminds me so much of Amihan and Danaya’s sisterly moments together, is this a sign that Danaya will ultimately be chosen as the air gem’s keeper? What do you guys think?

❤ Danny and Piry are fighting again, although Danaya has a point, Pirena’s side is also understandable. She’s a mother, and she’ll do anything to bring her daughter and niece back. That aside, I love the pain and tension between Glai and Shai (Sanya), both queens owned the scene. Also special shoutout to Pirena and Deshna! More sisterly moments please.

💀 Hm…so if Hagorn is the one who stole the golden hourglass, I’m pretty sure he’ll make a deal with Pirena before letting her get a hold of it, surrender Hathoria most probably, or I don’t know, Hagorn seemed to be less of a greedy bastard lately and is more focused at eliminating Etheria, it’s hard to tell from his emotionless face.

💎 Guys, I think Avria has already summoned Odessa, Andora, and maybe Animus back from the past before the hourglass was stolen? Nevertheless, I’m excited to see Juvila, kind of curious about Odessa but she’s a bitch so…whatever, and Avisala to bathalumang Haliya! I’m familiar with Valeen but I wasn’t expecting that she’s gonna play the character, well, it’s not that I am that excited for the big reveal, actually I am no longer excited for some new cast member reveal because this tactic to win the audiences is so overused. The only thing that I want to see is Juvila, Raquim and Mine-a’s return along with Lira and Mira (hopefully).

Rant/s:

🤔 Don’t you guys think that Ybrahim is hanging out in Lireo way too much? I would understand if Lira was still there, like I haven’t really seen him doing some kingly stuff, like dude, I know you lost your beloved and your daughter but you have a kingdom to look after, I want to see more of Ybrahim as a king and a leader in action rather than a love sick man. I think this arc is getting way more Lireo-centric. I miss seeing Sapiro and I haven’t really seen Hathoria’s interior in Hara Pirena’s reign and I want to see that.

🙄 STIFF. STIFF. STIFF. Is how I would describe Arra in her training scene, she’s making it so obvious that the routine is choreographed, very unnatural, I’m not a martial artist and she’s not as well but she can always get away with the struggle with GOOD ACTING, understandably Kylie is effortless because she has been doing martial arts since childhood, but there are so many cast members who have no background in martial arts but they can still make people believe that they are excellent fighters, and she had lesser time to train but like I said, she would have pulled it off with acting.  Unfortunately she can’t even make her acting natural so why expect right? Her face was so blank, it lacks the determination, her eyes doesn’t scream passion, she lacks fire, her body language doesn’t tell people how badass she has become, but rather she’s letting everyone know that either sword fighting is not her cup of tea, or she’s just playing around. Honestly I would rather go for a Manik-Ybrahim bromance than this love triangle that only involves two actors.

Mid-week thoughts:

Overall this week has been exciting but not EXCITING, exciting. I think this whole getting Haliyah’s attention will be prolonged to give way for new characters which is kind of annoying, and I guess the whole plot of the season 2 will revolve around Emre getting Devas back. It’s annoying how these so-called guardians have yet to prove themselves, if you ask me Lira and Mira are the only ones who deserve the title, what’s the whole point of letting the three others live yet they haven’t done anything to be of help? At least Deshna is doing something, but right now, I feel like Muyak, Pao Pao and the most useless of all useless Ariana are just mere scene fillers, this arc failed to emphasize the story of the new guardians and just like book 1, this second season is still more on the sisters’ stories rather than a transition from the four daughters of Mine-a as saviors of Encantadia…or Amihan rather to “passing the responsibilities” to the seven chosen. Narrative-wise I think that the seven guardian’s plot was just a mere arc filler.

4R’s: Encantadia Season 2 (April 11, 2017 episode review)

Episode 192

Recap:

Silent agreement

Emre told Cassiopeia the story about the fifth goddess, Haliyah. She was one of the deities who set foot on Encantadia but wasn’t happy, she decided to leave and return to the paradise all gods came from (presumably heaven) but the gates were shut, and because she could no longer enter, she decided to live in the moon and become it’s guardian as well. But every night she comes down to Encantadia to bathe in the batis ng katotohanan which serves as her sanctuary in Encantadia. Cassiopeia knows exactly where the stream is and used her power to teleport the both of them to that place. Strange thing was, they seem to be ending up on the same place over and over again, Cassiopeia suspected that someone might be manipulating her power, and she was right, Ether appeared and was not going to let Emre succeed. Even with Emre and Cassiopeia’s forces combined, they were no match against Ether’s prowess, Ether warned them that she will follow them, watch their every move, and they can never escape. Emre and Cassiopeia were stuck in that place, later that night, Emre noticed Cassiopeia’s ability to communicate with her mind, it is one of Cassiopeia’s natural powers, Emre figured a way to devise a plan without Ether finding out, and that is through communication using their minds. Ether who has been keeping an eye on them from afar noticed something strange between Emre and Cassiopeia—they were staring into each other’s eyes and not saying anything, Ether initially suspected that the two must be falling in-love with each other but shrugged off that thought as it might be more than that, it didn’t take long for her to realize that they were actually talking through their minds, and by the time she found out, Emre and Cassiopeia already ended their conversation. Ether showed up once again in an attempt to stop whatever they were planning, Emre and Cassiopeia carried out their plans, the two split and tricked Ether, the goddess ran after Emre which gave Cassiopeia the opportunity to get away. Ether caught Emre, but Cassiopeia successfully made it to the batis ng katotohanan, no goddess of two moons were around, Cassiopeia assumed Haliyah was still in her home, nevertheless, Cassiopeia decided to wait for Haliyah to show up.

Hara

Aquil approached Danaya once again, the queen reminded him to stay away from her and maintain their distance towards each other. Aquil wanted to be contented by just looking at her from afar, but he can’t stand it, he can’t stay away from Danaya, and he would rather die than torture himself with the kind of situation they were in. The latter chided him and told him not to say such things, Danaya told him to be strong for her just as how she’s trying to be strong for him. Aquil apologized and left, Alena witnessed how pained Danaya was for brushing the love of her life aside. This was the very reason why Alena never desired to be queen, being a Hara does not give you the privilege to love, but even if Alena never wanted to be queen and chose to follow her heart, she ended up getting hurt. Alena didn’t want to suffer the same pain, and she wants Danaya to be free from her burden, Alena offered Danaya to let her take over the throne so that the latter can marry Aquil. It was a very tempting offer, and Danaya was grateful to Alena, but Danaya refused her offer for she still wants to defeat Etheria’s forces under her queenship.

It was already late at night, Alena was still for Pirena to return. Muros knew she wasn’t coming back, especially after the misunderstanding she had with Danaya, Alena was sad at how they seem to be falling apart once again. Alena told Muros to call it a night and stayed up a little longer, not long after, a group of familiar encantados appeared—the Gunikars headed by Memfes. The latter told Alena that something was happening in Adamya, Alena immediately followed Memfes. The houses of the poor Adamyans were destroyed and burned by the Gunikars which angered Alena, Memfes sure was testing her patience.

If I could turn back time

Disguised as an Etherian soldier, Pirena made it safely to the Etherian palace, there she followed Avria and found out that the golden hourglass is being kept in Avria’s room. It was easy finding the precious item, but it was difficult to obtain, Avria casted a protective spell from those who will try to steal it. Pirena used her fire gem and would have successfully stolen it if her attempt did not create a commotion in Etheria, Avria sensed that there was an intruder inside the palace, she immediately ordered her Mashnas to search the entire palace. Avria went to her room and knew that someone tried to steal the golden hourglass, and it was someone who has an ability to counter the protective spell. And while Avria did not mention names, Hagorn was certain she was suspecting Pirena.

Hagorn immediately went back to his camp where Deshna was, and where his other daughter went, Hagorn did not hesitate to slap Pirena’s face for being so reckless, Pirena reasoned that the golden hourglass was her only key to turn back to the time when the guardians were being murdered in Cassiopeia’s island so she could save Mira (and Lira). Despite Pirena’s reason, Hagorn warned Pirena not to set foot on Etheria for awhile because Avria will surely get back at her. Deshna however sided with her older sister, for like Pirena, she too wanted to save her friend, his daughters’ stubbornness snapped Hagorn’s patience and let them do whatever they want and vowed that if they get caught, he will surely disown the two of them.

Rave/s:

💚💛 That Danaya-Alena moment literally teared me up 😢, I would love to see Danaya marry Aquil, but I don’t want Alena as queen of Lireo. She’s working so hard to make Adamya great again so I want her to take over and rule Adamya, it would be nice and refreshing to see a huge castle in Adamya, filled with many different Adamyan tribes and Alena as it’s ruler, that would be pretty awesome!

⚜ Hoy! Ano’ng kaguluhan ang nagaganap? 😂 What’s up with the CassMaw and CassRe poll? But seriously guys, Zoren and Solenn have chemistry, the way they stare at each other, I know it was supposed to be civil but I’m telling you guys there is a spark, hahahaha! It’s funny and nice at how everyone is taking a break from bashing each other’s fandom and crack ship jokes about the characters that aren’t supposed to be romantically-linked, we all need that once in awhile right?

❤ I’m sorry but I can’t take Hagorn’s exasperation seriously, love how Pirena and Deshna are teaming up to give their father a major headache. I seriously, seriously have a strong feeling that Pirena’s intentions of bringing back time to save Mira and Lira will go too far thus drawing back to ancient Encantadia, OR she will accidentally let the Etherians and other encantados who were born on the ancient times travel through time, Juvila! I can’t wait for you my other favorite Heran! Please bring her back! And Lira and Mira too, who cares about those other useless guardians?

Rant/s: 😂 I’m not annoyed or anything but I found Memfes’ grand entrance way too inappropriate. So pag papasok ng Lireo kelangan production number lagi? Hahahaha! Kidding aside, Memfes kind of reminds me of Ybrahim in his younger years, like yow! Can’t you make Memfes’ character unique and not Ybarro-ish? But oh well, I am still interested to know why he wants to marry Alena so badly though.

4R’s: Encantadia Season 2 (April 7, 2017 episode review)

Iris-message: As announced by GMA Encantadia on Twitter, we’re only going to have three episodes this week, so the week-ender episode will definitely be on Wednesday, as you all know it’s lenten, and Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Black Saturday will be our time to reflect and re-connect with our own Emre, our beloved God. Fam bam and I are prolly gonna do the usual stuff, Visita Iglesia, Station of the cross, the usual stuff, and I would most probably re-watch the Ten Commandments because I love that movie so much or the Prince of Egypt maybe. So in advance, may our long weekend be a meaningful one!

Episode 191

Recap:

How to fake it

Ybrahim started to throw a shade at Avria, Hagorn and Asval, but before this turns into a nasty, deadly match, Alena “humbled” herself and apologized on Ybrahim’s behalf. The peace talk continued, with Danaya trying to convince Avria that they have really come for peace. To be able to do that, Avria demanded to surrender all of the gems in their possession to her. Danaya assured that they aren’t going to use the gems against them, but Avria did not believe, she is fully aware that the diwatas do not trust her and vice versa. Avria ended the talk and told them to meet her in the battle field but Danaya stopped her and finally gave her what she wanted—the brilyante ng lupa. Ybrahim strongly opposed but Danaya stood firm on her decision and handed the gem over to Avria, but the latter also demanded for the remaining gems, Alena was ready to surrender hers if Avria vows not to hurt any encantado, and stop their evil schemes against Lireo in general, Avria told her she will think it over and did not get the water gem, at this point, Avria was convinced that Danaya was “sincere” of her desire for peace, the talk ended successfully.

Hearing the news about Alena, Danaya and Ybrahim going to Etheria to bargain made Pao Pao, Muyak and Ariana worried. Pao Pao knew Avria won’t settle for peace unless the sang’gres hand over the gems to her. The monarchs returned to Lireo, everyone was waiting for Danaya to spread the news. Rehav Manik assured that the Punjabwes are going to fight on their side, but Danaya told everyone that no war is going to take place, for she has surrendered the earth gem to Avria and this made the Etherian queen agree for a ceasefire. Though the talk was a success, Ybrahim was still worried, everyone knows that Etherians will never keep their promise and feared for that day when they will all be mercilessly killed. This had everyone worried as well, Alena shut Ybrahim and everyone up and asked the rest except the monarchs to leave them for awhile. Now that only Danaya, Alena, Imaw and Ybrahim were left, it was now time to tell the truth, Alena made a shield out of her water gem to make sure no one else will hear, Danaya revealed that she created an exact replica of her earth gem and the fake one was handed over to Avria, she also made sure that the replica works just like the real earth gem to make Avria believe that it is really Danaya’s brilyante. Ybrahim apologized and commended Danaya for coming up with that scheme, but he knew Avria is going to discover the truth eventually, Danaya could only hope by the time it happens, Emre and Cassiopeia has already succeeded with their mission.

To make him smile again

Ybrahim was studying the map of Encantadia, apparently he still wanted to seek revenge on Etheria, Ariana found him and told him how relieved she was that he made it back safely, Ybrahim asked her why, Ariana bluffed and told him that she doesn’t want him to get hurt but it only made Ybrahim ask more questions, Ariana and Ybrahim would have been placed in another awkward moment if Alena didn’t come, Ybrahim excused himself and told Ariana to call it a night. Alena had the chance to talk to Ariana, she had been listening to her conversation with Ybrahim and decided to confront the Punjabwe-a, Alena asked Ariana if she was in-love with Ybrahim, and although Ariana gave her an indirect answer, Alena knew she harbors feelings for the king. Alena is the most sensitive and observant among the sisters thus she knew that Ariana feels something for Ybrahim from the way she looks at him, to the way she acts towards him. Ariana apologized and made it clear that she doesn’t have any plans on stealing him from Alena, but Alena told her that everything between her and Ybrahim has long been ended, and all she ever wants is for him to be happy, thus Alena asked Ariana to make him fall in-love with her, Ybrahim has been through so much pain and Alena wants to see the man she once loved smile again, and the key she believes is Ariana.

The golden hourglass

Amarro and Lila Sari did not hesitate to reveal where Avria got her powers from, but Pirena already knew that and wanted to know where her army came from instead. Amarro and Lila Sari told her about the golden hourglass that Avria used along with the gems to help Etherians travel to the present time. The hourglass is a powerful tool that makes anyone travel from one timeline to another (or turn back time), Pirena became interested at this in hopes to turn back to the time when Mira needed her help the most, unfortunately, only Avria knows where it is. Pirena immediately came up with a plan but before leaving, she told Lila Sari and Amarro that Deshna is in Adjantao, a place Hagorn chose to hide the child. It was a lie, and Pirena had to do it because she’s still going to use her sister against Hagorn.

Meanwhile in Etheria, Hagorn suspected something about Danaya surrendering the earth gem wasn’t right, Asval set those thoughts aside but Hagorn has a point, the sang’gres aren’t stupid to hand over the gems without coming up with a plan. Asval’s suspicions rose, a Hathor came and whispered something to Hagorn, he left Asval who was still pondering over Hagorn’s words. Asval went to Avria and told her his doubts, to be able to confirm, Avria tested the gem out, it unleashed power, something that fake ones can’t. Avria was very certain she has the real earth gem.

The former king of Hathoria found out that Pirena was outside the Etherian palace, Pirena immediately asked Hagorn a favor to help her, Pirena wanted to enter the palace without anyone noticing. At first, Hagorn did not want to but Pirena threatened to tell Lila Sari where Deshna is which forced Hagorn to grant her request. Pirena made it inside, Hagorn warned her that he will be the one to punish her in case she gets caught. Pirena thanked her father and proceeded with her plan.

Rave/s:

💚 YES ALENA! Out of everything she has done, I think that one thing that makes me really proud of her character is that she has finally moved on (take note of the word, “MINSAN”) she has been through a lot of pain, she made mistakes in the past but in the end, she did not let her anger take control of her, she has grown so much from being a pabebe sang’gre, to a vengeful mother, to a confidently beautiful woman with a heart, and I couldn’t be more proud as an encantadik, I think she has the most beautiful character transition out of all other characters, her heart was once her Achilles’ heel, but look at her now! And I love how Gabbi is portraying the character these past few weeks, although it took a really long time, but I really have to say that she succeeded on merging her own personality with Alena’s. She has finally connected with her character, she herself witnessed everything Alena went through and this led her to finally understand and dig deeper into the character, and for that I am truly, genuinely proud of Gabbi. If I could hug Alena right now I swear I will do it and I’ll tell her how she makes me proud every single day, I hope everyone feels the same, every Alena fan, every AleBarro/YbraLena fan, every GabRu fan, let Alena be, because nothing is more satisfying than knowing your self-worth. Nothing is more awesome than to finally tell yourself that, “Finally, it’s over.” She chose to be free and she got it, now all I want is for her to find that true happiness and get that one precious thing she always wanted, someone who can give her the love she has been searching. Kebs na kung beauty and the Beast ang peg, let’s give AleMemfes a chance. Let’s give Gabbi a chance to prove that she is the next ultimate leading lady! Wish you luck Gab and Lance!

💛 DAYUM DANAYA YOU DA QUEEN! I love how this show redeemed itself from their “unacceptable” episodes for the past two weeks, the battle of who’s smarter, who’s better is definitely on! Love you queen, this show is finally telling everyone that it is not only Pirena who knows how to think.

🌷 Because I love this week-starter in general, I’m not gonna rant about anything. Y’all probably know that I’m still gonna shoot fires at Arra’s performance, BUT, I decided not to do that because I don’t wanna break my own bubble and lash out at Arra [again], I felt like I’m already getting used to her shitty performance, or maybe I’m not in the mood? Whatever!  Acting-wise I am still uncertain and unconvinced that Arra deserves the role, but narrative-wise this is how it should be. Set aside all of your anger towards Ariana and focus on the story itself, remember Amihan’s sarkosi is inside Ariana’s body so technically Ariana is still Amihan, although her characterization is inconsistent as fuck, I would still go for this route but I do NOT agree with the making Ybrahim fall for Ariana part, I mean sure they feel some sort of connection with each other, but I would rather let them discover and realize their feelings for each other in a slow-burn kind of way than “forcing themselves to each other,” god! Amihan will never do such thing even if she loves her man so much. Duh. So you know, I’ve been really, really ranting about Arra and Ariana lately, and it’s no surprise to you guys, but you see, I’m already fed up at making the same old comments all over again, I feel like it’s pathetic how I’m stressing myself over an actress whom I’m not sure if she can really act. I had the chance to go over my previous reviews from last week and last, last week, and I just realized that rooting for Arra is just…pointless, and me ranting endlessly about her wouldn’t change the fact that they chose her to play the character, I mean they already chose her so they gotta stand up on their decision, panindigan nila ‘yan. Now before you react, let me just make myself clear, I’M TIRED AT HATING ON ARIANA, I’m sick at blabbing shits about Arra, and I’m so done at lambasting her story, telling everyone her story should be like this and that. I’VE HAD ENOUGH OKAY? I wanna stop because I have to, I hate being stressed, and Arra is my source of stress, so I have to get her out of my nerves dude, it’s bad for my health! I have come to this point where I am already starting to “accept” that Ruru’s going to do all the hard work for the rest of this whole Ybriana “romance”, and the only thing that’s gonna save Arra’s face in the show is the Amihan/Kylie flash backs, okay, noted. I’m just going to give all the hopeless chances on her, and take note, I repeat, those are “HOPELESS chances,” that means I no longer care, let her do her thing, I’m not expecting anything, period. If she does impress, good, I’ll rave about her, and if not, then I guess I’m just gonna sarcastically thank her forever for annihilating what would have been Amihan’s second shot at life, and until Arra proves me wrong, I am not going to see Ariana and Amihan as one character.

Episode 188

Recap:

The key to win against Etheria

Cassiopeia was skeptical at the man’s claims, Imaw used his balintataw to see through the man’s past, turns out, he was telling the truth, he really is Emre. Cassiopeia and Imaw paid respect to their god but Emre stopped them for he’s no longer the Emre they all know. He was now a lowly encantado, much lower and powerless like Cassiopeia and Imaw. Nevertheless the two did not lose their respect on him, Emre knew he has to win back Devas as soon as possible and asked Cassiopeia to help him, the latter was torn between helping Emre and staying in Encantadia, there is a war stirring between the three kingdoms against Etheria and their allies need Cassiopeia’s help. Emre explained that in order to win against Etheria, they must defeat the evil forces lurking in Devas first, going into this war will only lead Lireo and it’s allied kingdoms to fall and every diwata, Sapirian, and Hathor will perish. They have to win back Devas first, they have to defeat the forces of Arde, Ether and Keros who are now having dominion over Emre’s home, and even if Emre has no powers, he knows the strengths and weaknesses of his fellow gods, and that will be his tool to defeat his enemies. Cassiopeia finally agreed and went back to Lireo with Imaw to deliver Emre’s message, while the god himself began his search for a certain someone. They agreed to meet up on that very same place where Cassiopeia found Emre.

Mira?

Pirena and Hitano went looking for Deshna, along the way, Pirena crossed paths with a very familiar encantada—Mira. Pirena was happy to see her daughter alive once again but suddenly became suspicious, even after Mira told her how she fought everything just to be with her, Pirena knew something wasn’t right, and she was correct, for it was a fake Mira, it was Avria in disguise, the two fought, Pirena demanded Avria to change back to her real form and stop using Mira’s body to fight her. Avria taunted Pirena to kill her but the image of her daughter is stopping Pirena from what she’s supposed to do. Fortunately, Hitano came and aided her, Avria was injured but relayed her message to Pirena and her sisters—she’s accepting their challenge and was ready to fight their forces. Pirena and Hitano immediately went back to Lireo and told Avria’s message to Alena and Danaya, the sisters prepared for battle, Rama Ybrahim also went back to Sapiro earlier ago after the meeting to prepare his Sapirian army.

The sang’gres and the combined army of Sapiro, Lireo and Hathoria were ready for battle. Avria who has been keeping an eye on the diwatas already gave her order to her Mashnas and meet the diwatas in the battlefield. Ether knew Avria has yet to discover the many wonders of the gems, through her guidance, Avria used the air gem to suck the air out of the diwatas’ bodies. Danaya knew Avria was using Amihan’s gem against them, using their remaining strength, Danaya and Alena used the water and earth gem to create air for them to breathe. The sisters successfully countered Avria’s attack which angered the Etherian queen, she has decided to join her Mashnas in battle but was stopped by Ether and advised to leave the war in her new ally’s hands—Hagorn.

Hagorn’s plan

Now that Deshna is back to him, it was time for Hagorn to fulfill his promise—fight on Avria’s side. Ether brought Hagorn and Deshna to Etheria where Hagorn finally pledged allegiance with the Etherian queen, something which shocked Luna. For Hagorn’s first task, he will be joining Avria’s Mashnas to fight their enemies. Hagorn assured that he will going to participate in the war but brought Deshna back to their camp and told his young daughter to stay there. Deshna disliked the idea of Hagorn joining Avria’s forces, she maybe holding a grudge against the diwatas but Avria is evil as well. She was mastermind for Lira, Mira, and Gilas’ deaths, Deshna persuaded Hagorn not to make allies with Etheria. Hagorn already knew about this because Pirena already told him, the former Hathorian king vowed to avenge Mira and Deshna’s friend, but for now, he has to side with Etheria.

YbaRena

Just before the sisters left, Cassiopeia appeared and told them about Emre’s warning. The assurance of getting Devas back as soon as they can was uncertain, and Emre was powerless, backing away from this war will lead to the same fate to each and everyone, Pirena convinced her sisters to go on with the war, Pirena also reminded them that Cassiopeia was the reason why her daughter and niece died. Cassiopeia however persuaded Danaya to delay the battle and think of a way to distract the enemies to buy them time. In the end, Danaya and Alena chose to heed Emre’s words which disappointed Pirena, she and the Hathors went to Sapiro to meet Rama Ybrahim.

Pirena told Ybrahim about Alena and Danaya backing out from battle because of Cassiopeia’s advise, she also told him that it was Asval who murdered their daughters. Ybrahim was angered and swore to kill him, Pirena also wanted to slay him with her hands, both parents agreed to kill him together, Sapiro and Hathoria were ready to fight Etheria.

Rave/s:

💗 Well, I was expecting that it wasn’t really Mira, but Kaaaaate! God I miss seeing you in the show, please come back 😭, she is no doubt such a good actress, and a very versatile one too! Love how she nailed the Avria vibe in that scene with Glai, she really is Pirena’s daughter. Balik na kayo ni Lira pleaaaaase!

💀 Ha! I knew Hagorn isn’t going to let Mira’s death pass, but I love how he’s becoming “less of a villain” because of Deshna, really nice (and cute) to see Hagorn’s soft side as a father, and even though he is one heck of a villain, I don’t want to lose him in the show, John Arcilla gave me another reason to hold on to the show until the very end, like Pirena, I’m really hoping that he’ll have a change of heart and fight on the good side in the end.

❤💪 YBARENA BROTP FTW! Hahahahahaha! I looooove seeing Daddy Ybs and Mommy Piry teaming up against a common enemy and avenging their babies! I can’t wait for that pahirapan si Asval scene, that would be fuckin’ priceless, kill the bastard slow and painfully! That aside, I love the civil/co-leader/co-parents relationship of Pirena and Ybrahim, they’re the most chill team in the show ever, and by chill I mean the “wala kaming pake” kind of thing, no awkwardness, no physical attraction, no tension, just pure business. Bruh.

Episode 187

Recap:

Luna’s pain

Luna was angry at Alena for keeping the truth from her for so long, and refused to accept Alena’s reason. Luna ran away and was followed by Hitano (as asked by Alena), the young diwata was pained at the fact that it was her real mother who killed Helgad, Hitano explained that Lila Sari is under a spell which was the reason why she did that, Hitano assured Luna that Lila Sari is a kind-hearted diwata and she loves her very much, Hitano of all people knows for he stood by Lila Sari and was the one who became Luna’s adoptive father when she was a baby. Despite of Hitano’s explanations, it didn’t stop Luna from seeking vengeance, Avria owes her a lot, and Luna was determined to avenge Gilas, Helgad and Lila Sari and will stop at nothing for the three of them.

Meanwhile, Lila Sari has been looking for Alena, Hitano and the young guardian Luna when Amarro found her. Lila Sari has been bothered by what Alena revealed to her—that Luna is Deshna and she is her daughter. Amarro knew about this and confirmed that Alena was telling the truth, he kept it a secret for so long for he thought Ether and Avria had good intentions. Lila Sari wanted to get her memories back, but to do that, she’ll have to ask Avria to return her memories of her past. Fortunately, Amarro knows another way to retrieve her memories without seeking for Avria’s help—the batis ng katotohanan (stream of truth), Amarro and Lila Sari traveled by foot to avoid getting tracked, using their ivictus will be dangerous since that ability was given to them by Avria herself and it will be easy for her to find them.

A way to fight evil

Ariana was training alone when Manik found her, the Punjabwe prince offered a sparring session with her, though he couldn’t quite understand why Ariana is attached to the diwatas, he supported her desire to fight alongside them and continued training. Pao Pao and Muyak saw how determined Ariana was and this encouraged them to train as well.

For their princess, Sapiro was unstoppable.

However, Mashna Mayca was worried at the number of troops they have against Etheria, Rama Ybrahim ordered Wantuk and Kaizan to go to Adjantao and convince it’s people to fight for Sapiro, also the bandidos and encantados who are willing to join. As for the king and his general, their task now is to train their soldiers to be more skilled in combat. Hara Danaya appeared whom Ybrahim initially thought that the queen has changed her mind and was now joining Sapiro in battle, but Danaya had other reasons, Cassiopeia and Imaw has returned and there was something the Rama needs to know.

Everyone gathered in the throne room, Alena was happy to finally see Kahlil once again, and so is Ybrahim. Pirena bitterly complained how lucky Alena and Ybrahim were for Alena’s only son and Ybrahim’s other child has finally showed up and asked where Lira and Mira were. Kahlil revealed that he never saw either the two of them, it was only then that Ybrahim and Pirena found out that the sang’gres’ bodies has returned because something was happening in Devas. Seeing her own daughter’s corpse only broke Pirena’s heart even more and asked Alena and Danaya if they are going to join the war this time. Both sang’gres knew it was about time, but they were gonna need all the help they can get. Kahlil had to leave soon to look for other ivtres who might have escaped Devas, while the rest of them remain and fight the Etherians, Cassiopeia finally stepped up and told everyone that she was going to help, after all, Avria is also indebted to her.

Ariana overheard that the bodies of Lira and Mira has returned and asked Rama Ybrahim about it, the king confirmed this and was also saddened upon seeing Ariana and Manik together. Ariana encouraged Ybrahim to continue living despite losing his beloved and his daughter for they still need him. Manik noticed how close she was to the Sapirian king which Ariana simply reasoned that he’s the father of her friend and nothing else.

Winning the favor

Before the war begins, Pirena went to Hathoria to track Hagorn’s whereabouts, she immediately found him and was surprised to see some of his soldiers with him. Apparently these men were still loyal to the former king despite of Pirena’s kindness towards them, this angered the queen and cursed those who betrayed her and Hathoria. Pirena tried to win Hagorn to their side, the latter knows a lot about Etheria and Avria since he too fought her once. But knowing Hagorn, he wasn’t going to grant anything without getting something in return, Pirena offered him his freedom, something which he already has. Ether came and has a much better offer, whatever it was, it might win him to Etheria’s side.

Cassiopeia solely went to Etheria and attacked Avria’s camp. The Hara-Durye demanded Avria to surrender her Mashnas but as expected, she protected her generals. Because of this, Cassiopeia cursed Asval and Andora and that is to suffer the most excruciating way possible, Cassiopeia also attempted to summon the three gems in Avria’s possession, but Avria was never going to give them up, both powerful queens played a tug of war, who’s going to win, and who’s going to perish?

⚜ YAS KWEEN! Love how Cassiopeia killed tonight’s episode! Three gems against her is a piece of cake, I would have loved it if Asval and Andora died right then and there, but then again, revenge is much sweeter when I see the both of them suffer, I don’t think she’ll be able to win back all three brilyantes as of now (because duh) but I am excited for team Lireo-Sapiro-Hathoria vs team Etheria aka Encantadia war 3!

🌷 Hm…some slight improvement with Arra’s performance tonight, at least she doesn’t sound like she’s reading the script anymore and compared to her previous performances, this one is the most acceptable so far although her facial expression is still the “is that even a facial expression?” kind of face if you know what I mean, but I did notice that her stiffness kind of lessened, I feel like she’s starting to become comfortable with the people she’s working with but it’s still not enough, she still has to work on that sword fighting skill but I do see the improvement, it’s nice to see how synced she was with that sparring sesh with Joross’ Manik. As for that kind of a love triangle scene, well…Ru still brought that scene together, I didn’t feel the tension in Arra’s part, but oh well, for a thirty-second appearance, it’s not bad I would say but it’s not that good either. On top of that, I haven’t forgiven her character yet and she owe Ybrahim an apology big time and she hasn’t given that so I still hate Ariana, but Arra’s acting is pwede na. Pwede nang ipang-present sa classroom hahahahahaha!

💧 Finally! They have given something meaningful to Kahlil’s existence after a very long time. I’m quite sure that he’ll be the one who will find Raquim and Mine-a’s ivtres, and I’m still hoping that he’ll find Lira and Mira as well I didn’t watch Mikee and Kate’s farewell message because I still couldn’t accept that their characters died and I am still in denial that I think that it’s the show’s gimmick to really make people believe that they ain’t coming back.

😪 Have you guys seen the abangan episode? Like really? Pirena thought of finding out about Mira’s killer just now? Ugh! I hope Imaw shows how Ariana’s pop corn moment during Lira’s death, I just want Ybrahim to get mad at her so that she’ll realize how useless she is.
