something simple and untangled about how sisko says this of all things. something about how very jadzia this is a thing for him to want. something about how that's what it's like to miss a friend. maybe (definitely) jadzia's death in the show was treated too much like a thing happening to others more than something happening to her, and maybe it's avery brooks's acting or maybe it's the fact that the writing between the characters before this moment is so solid, but this simple appeal is the most heartbreaking thing said surrounding this character's death in the show. why isn't jadzia still there?

My cats have this meow that means "please come with me to fix this" after which they'll lead me to the problem in question, usually a empty (or 'empty') food bowl or a closed door they want open. They look at the 'problem', they look back at me, clear message.

What fascinates me is how this illustrates what they percieve as being in the realm of my 'power.'
