Group project Puzzle created for ‘The Pitch Project’. Info graphics explaining  the spike in population in the last few hundred years. We used the days of the exhibition as 225 years each and each puzzle piece as 200,000,000 people. For the first few days only one puzzle piece was on the placed on the board and on the last day the whole puzzle was suddenly visible. We each drew five of the figure designs and then laser cut the pattern out of MDF.

My fan interview with Melody Li my friend. For our seminar we had to interview someone that was a fan of something, in Melody’s case, ‘Winnie The Poo’. Was interesting to talk about our collections and how they link to our identity, I brought in my small toy hippo. I have been collecting and obsessed with hippos ever since I found this little guy in my rented house. It has defiantly become a part of my identity to every one who knows me.

had a really fun day today watching short animations to inspired by for our ‘Background project’, should have brought popcorn!! The one below was my favourite. we also did a three stage drawing of our animation character to show the class the narrative. I have changed mine after my tutorial so that now its about the character getting suck in the egg sculpture. I also had to change it from my nice old man to a naked pink blog so I can animate it quicker ahah.

We did a really dark piece of art using our groups body parts in the Text as Image workshop today, We had to change the meaning of an image that melody had taken of cow meat hanging in a market in Honk Kong.

Some more notes on the ‘Adult Story Telling’ presentation And my final draft for what im actually going to say in the presentation. I realise I have to much to read out we are actually only allowed 5 mins each as there is 5 of us fro a 20min  presentation. stresssss

For our next project we had to go to the tate and take photographs of empty spaces so that we can animate quick scenes or incidents into them using animate the program. I am quite nervous about using the program as when I tried in the tutorial I was really bad :L These are some drawings/storyboard ideas that I came up with while I was there. I have two ideas, the first is a man looking through the hole in the egg sculpture catching my eye and walking off awkwardly, and the second is a cone that fills up the whole door and goes massive every-time someone walks towards it as i was sitting there watching people walk up to the door thinking they could go through it then seeing the cone and being thinking they couldn't when in reality it s just a cone and they could just move it out the way. THE POWER OF THE CONE ! hah
