@theroyalbeaumont Yeah, that's exactly what it feels like! And tbh I really wish it HAD just ended in season 2...that was the perfect natural conclusion to the story. S3 makes no sense and I have no idea where it's going either.

The whole stalking storyline is just weird...the guy pushed her down on a pedestrian bridge covered in people, and we're supposed to interpret that as an attempt on her life?? Uh...what? Like, I get that that was scary, but she was in NO danger whatsoever. And no one, not even the HIRED SECURITY GUARD, saw anything???

Elite Tag was one of my favorite stories, but season three has just been a cluster fuck. Is she going to wake up in the last chapter and it was all a dream? Because no one is acting like themselves, ugh.

S3 singlehandedly turned ET into a story that I didn't love, but still enjoyed reading during diamond rush, into one of my literal bottom 3 stories on the entire app. It's sad--it's like the author hates all of his characters :/

just a little ranty rant

i'm sick to death of seeing people complaining about wanting achievements, but thinking it's unfair that they have to replay to earn them or thinking they should be able to just "check off what they've already done" and get the achievement that way.

y'all! think! this feature literally exists to SELL TEACUPS. romance club is a business that needs to MAKE MONEY. it makes NO sense from a business perspective to just give people achievements without requiring replaying the story. what on earth would the advantage for them be if that was how it worked?

it's not just like the romance club devs just sat down and were like "hey, you know what would be fun to spend a ton of time and resources on? creating a whole new panel of the profile feature, going back into the code of all of our stories, doing a ton of QA and testing, and designing 100+ icons! our users will be so happy to have pretty icons on their profiles, and that's enough for us!"

no, they sat down and were like "it's going to make us a LOT of money if users have to replay everything multiple times to get these achievements."

romance club has a great social media game and they do a fantastic job of listening to the community + appearing generous (see also: diamond rushes. these are NOT done because RC is "generous"--it's all about selling teacups). however, at the end of the day, they are a business that exists to make money. the achievements feature was created to make money, not give you cute little icons on your profile because you played Heaven's Secret one time three years ago.

bugged achievements in the march update

So I'm obsessed with achievements (I have 100/118 right now lol) and have played most of the stories for achievements already. I've found some bugs that I'm really hoping Romance Club will address, so that my little completionist heart can finally be at rest with all of the beautiful achievements unlocked.

Achievement is 100% broken:

I Can Wait (WP): Doesn't unlock at the end of the story despite 100% loyalty to Alek. RC said they fixed this in a technical update, but I can confirm that it's still broken. They've now said it will be fixed in May.

Matchmaker (SIF): Achievement is not unlocking at any point despite having matched Christina, Lorenza, and Ivy. Tepish has confirmed that they've discovered the source of the bug and it will be fixed in the May update.

Enlightener (DLS): Seems simple enough--you should get this if Lale wins the science fair so that girls can study at the palace school. It makes sense for this achievement to unlock in either 1.6 or 3.6, but it doesn't appear at either place. This is the only broken achievement that RC hasn't acknowledged yet.

Achievement is attainable, but only in specific & clearly unintentional circumstances:

Amicus (HS2): This one is apparently only attainable on Dino's path. I wasn't able to get it on War or Mimi's paths, and others have reported that they weren't able to get it on Hunger or Malbonte's paths. When replaying for Dino, I did everything the same way--the only difference was my LI.

Refined Taste + Elegance (LOTW): These work fine if you still have "enough" (I have no idea how many) premium items left to buy, but are not currently working if you've already purchased everything. I think that this achievement is coded to respond only to newly purchased items, which can't be right.

Loyal Friend (LOTW): It's been reported that this one doesn't work if Takao is alive but injured at the end of the story.

Achievement is attainable, but the description is misleading/wrong:

The One Night Stand (TO2): I've seen people saying that they haven't been able to get this by sleeping with Joel while NOT on his branch (which is how it's supposed to work), but they HAVE been able to get this while they ARE on his branch (the opposite of how it's supposed to work). So you can get this achievement, but you have to ignore what the description says.

The Grand Gesture (TO1): The description makes it sound like Evan needs to interrupt the show to unlock this achievement, but that doesn't work. The only way to get this achievement is to choose "no one" in the final episode while romancing Evan, and he'll then confess his love for you off camera. So, again, you can get the achievement, but you have to ignore the description.

So, yeah. If you're playing for achievements, hopefully this post will help!

thiiiiis. the biggest difference between the two of them is that vincent would have NEVER killed dia, because dia wasn't hurting anyone. vincent kills demons who put the world in danger--that's it. amen gleefully and brutally killed dia for no reason, other than he could and he wanted to. vincent and amen are NOT the same.

the thing about amen and vincent that i think a lot of you still do not understand (and i'm using them specifically bc they're the ones being compared) is that 1) amen wants every single dark magician dead, and he takes pleasure in torturing them and killing them, that is a very important part of his character, and that's why the book has made it so fucking clear! amen said it himself! he is not gonna change his ways just because he and eva are in love! eva literally makes the decision to accept that part of himself, so you cannot deny it and you can't complain if you were expecting something else because the book was pretty clear from the beginning about who amen really was (and i'm not saying he doesn't have layers but those do not take away the fact that he enjoys killing and that's that) -- and 2) vincent is not like amen at all. sure, his job, and i think it even has to do with his legacy, is being a demon hunter, but he doesn't go around killing every fucking demon he comes across, he's only after the ones who don't care about his world's ways, the ones who kill humans (like mc was planning to do until he told her what would happen if she did). and sure, you can argue that both amen and vincent want to rid the world of "evil", but again, amen takes pleasure in toturing and killing people (and it's because of a personal vendetta he has, may i add), vincent does not

This might be the first actual "benefit" (another character being nice to me) I've seen in my no diamonds/no correct decisions SCN playthrough! I'm pretty sure you only get this dialogue with Set if Remmao managed to hurt Eva in episode 3.

Seems like Set is willing to protect Eva even if a) she's not romancing him, and b) she's not a very good or renowned shesmu. Man, I'm liking him more and more.

The one Nova has been communicating with the whole time has been...His Eminence, the Cardinal.

This is the same line of dialogue we saw in the prologue of the first chapter--the person speaking was the Cardinal, and he was, in fact, speaking to Nova.

It seems like this all stems back to Nova's loneliness...she didn't have a place in her family or the magical world, so the Cardinal played on her hopes to be a part of something.

And the best part of all of this is...we get to choose our path forward!
