The thing I just don't understand is people will something like this to a cat and then turn around and still say they love them.

I live with a Sphinx. I say live, because I don't like admiting I have her, since it was my father who bought her, despite the rest of the family saying no.

Our kitchen chairs are made with, I think, fake leather. She scrached so badly, that even the foam is visible in ripped place, one couch has multiple stichings coming apart.

The cat is a general annoyence, but in the cat way, or shall I say Spinx way, because sometimes she doesn't shut up, even if you give her what she wants.

And yes I got used to her, but I still don't like. And would be happy to have her gone, because my father does the bare minimum in taking care of her and it still is done with us asking him to do it.

But, but I would never even think about declawing. Do I hate her? Yes, but that's the outcome of my relationship with my father. But at the same time it's not her fault she's here. So I would never even suggest declawing. This like ah, yes a kid draw on the wall, as little kids do, because you didn't give them a right outlet, let's dehand them, so that never happens again (might be a very wrong example but gets the point across).

This post is not me trying to explain myself or show hiw good of a person I am, because I hate the cat, but won't declaw her.

I'm trying to paint a picture as to how I hate the cat and don't declaw her. But there are people out there who will and then turn around and say they love them, even thou they just removed one of the most important parts of their cats bodies.

Like how do they do it? How in general, can you harm the animal, not by accident, but with purpose for being the way animals are, how still say you love them?

I been talking to a lot of ppl w cats lately (I volunteer at an animal shelter) and I didn’t know this needed to be said but

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT DECLAW YOUR CAT.

Declawing sounds very normal to people who aren’t educated on it so let me show you what it actually is.

As you might notice from the diagram, the claw is attached to a small bone at the very end of a cat’s paw. They are fused to this bone, which on a human hand would be where your last knuckle is (the one right before your nail). When someone gets a cat declawed, they aren’t just removing the claw.

The entire last digit of the cat’s paw is removed. (See below)

This severely impedes the cat’s ability to balance itself, is extremely painful for them, and can make the cat extremely aggressive because it no longer has one of its main defense mechanisms! It can also cause many other medical issues down the line including infection, necrosis, and some cats are never able to walk correctly again. Most cats that have this done never fully recover from the procedure and are in constant chronic pain.

It is extremely inhumane and is illegal in only two states at the time I’m writing this!!!! (Maryland and New York) Cats should only have this procedure if it is a life or death situation, never just because someone finds a cat being a cat inconvenient for them. Don’t get a cat if you don’t want to be scratched or have some ruined furniture. If you want more information on this topic, I’d recommend Jackson Galaxy’s YouTube video on it, and to read up on some articles I will link in the comments.

I know I don’t usually post about these types of things, but it’s made me extremely angry to hear people mention getting their cats declawed so flippantly as if it doesn’t ruin the cat’s life, and always for an asinine reason like “they scratched my couch” or “they scratch my kids” THOSE ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A CAT OWNER. Treat your kids and peers to treat animals with respect, or don’t get a cat.

We did NOT sleep for a hundred years, freed the Divine Beasts, and are going through whatever this is that I did’nt get to, for her to turn into the dragon. I understand that she had to wait to our times. But she already had her time powers and could jump to the right moment in time.

Official Splatoon Fonts (Complete with Kanji) Download!

Hi! I see that a lot of Splatoon artists/youtubers try to use the Splatoon official fonts, and well there is the font reproductions out there, most only cover the basic English characters and sometimes hiragana/katakana (without kanji).

Since I've never managed to find a download provider ANYWHERE (both in English AND Japanese web) that had both the Splatoon scripts complete with kanji, I had to basically scavenge the internet to find any downloadable file with the complete fonts. I managed to find the Splatoon 1 font in Japanese font site, and the Splatoon 2 Ui font in a random link in google images to some ffonts (jp) with the file, both complete with kanji.

SO to make everyone's life easier I just got both of the files and uploaded to Google Drive since there are no sites or posts that provide the links. Please remember that these fonts use paid designs and are NOT provided for commercial usage, the font is owned by Nintendo).
