The Public Theater’s Annual Shakespeare in the Park
A Harvard Business School graduate, Llewellyn Connolly has worked as a financial professional for over two decades. Also an actor, Llewellyn Connolly recently played the part of Camillo in a production of The Winter’s Tale presented by the Public Theater (the Public) in New York City. Each summer, the Public produces Shakespeare in the Park, which offers theater fans a free season of plays presented at the Delacorte Theater in New York City’s Central Park. Now in its sixth decade, the Delacorte Theater opened in 1962 with a production of The Merchant of Venice that was directed by the Public’s founder, Joseph Papp. Since then, over 5 million people have visited the Delacorte Theater to attend free performances of more than 100 productions featuring a number of well-known actors, including Kevin Kline, Meryl Streep, Denzel Washington, and Amy Adams. The Public’s 2015 season of Shakespeare in the Park featured The Tempest, which starred Sam Waterston and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Cymbeline, which was directed by Tony Award-winner Daniel Sullivan.

An Introduction to Ski Mountaineering
Llewellyn Connolly has worked in various positions over the course of his career in finance. Currently, he is a volunteer with The Fortune Society in New York City. Beyond this role, Llewellyn Connolly likes to lead a physically active lifestyle that includes ski mountaineering. While many skiers may be familiar with the practice of backcountry skiing, the somewhat similar sport of ski mountaineering is less known. On a typical expedition, ski mountaineers ascend and descend mountains using their skis. Though people can purchase a set of skis specifically designed for mountaineering activities, such as alpine touring/randonnee skis, others may prefer to use short figle skis or common downhill gear. In fact, ski mountaineers can even use snowboards during a descent. A complete ski mountaineering expedition begins at the foot of a mountain, requiring individuals to both climb and descend a mountain using their ski gear as often as possible. However, ski mountaineering is unique due to its combination of skiing and mountain climbing. In warmer locations, the conditions at the bottom of a mountain may not always allow for a full ascent on skis. Similarly, some descents may prove too dangerous on skis, forcing mountaineers to use snowshoes, rappels, and other climbing gear to finish their run.

An Overview of the Career of US Cyclist Ann Marie Miller
For the last four years, financial professional Llewellyn Connolly has served as a volunteer with New York City’s Fortune Society. Additionally, Llewellyn Connolly and his company Eumaeus Asset Management sponsor a cycling team featuring accomplished cyclist Ann Marie Miller. Over the last decade, Ann Marie Miller has been established as one of the most successful athletes in American cycling. An 11-time USA Cycling Masters Road Nationals champion, she has earned more than 20 US Masters' National medals over the course of her career. In both 2003 and 2008, Miller scored three gold medals at the national championships, achieving first place in the time trial, road race, and criterium events. Both clean sweeps resulted in Miller earning the Best All-Around Rider title for her age group. Despite being named Best All-Around Rider again in 2010, she fell short of a third sweep, winning the gold in road race and criterium but silver in time trial. Miller most recently placed first at the 2015 Philadelphia Amateur Time Trial, one of four race wins this year.

New York City’s The Public Theater Sponsors Benefit
Since 2011, Llewellyn Connolly has volunteered his time at The Fortune Society in New York City. As a volunteer, he teaches math to current and former prison inmates so that they can become prepared to take the GED exam. Professionally, he most recently led Euamaeus Asset Management, also in New York, as co-managing partner. In September 2014, Llewellyn Connolly performed with the New York Theater in an original musical adaptation of The Winter’s Tale, playing Camillo in The Public Theater’s production of the work for Shakespeare in the Park. Established more than 60 years ago, The Public Theater is the only theater in New York that stages productions of musicals, contemporary features, classics, Shakespeare, and experimental pieces equally. It began as one of the country’s first nonprofit theaters, and today performs at a number of venues, including the Dealcorte Theater and Mobile Shakespeare Unit. Since The Public Theater is a nonprofit, it relies heavily on support from the community. One benefit, scheduled for October 22, 2015, is Hamilton on Broadway. Featuring an exclusive pre-show dinner at Blue Fin, the event includes a performance of Hamilton, followed by a post-show celebration at Urbo with the cast.
