MINOR CARTMAN RANT AHEAD

I've noticed a lot of his behaviors link to his mother. So, I'm more-or-less giving a reason as to WHY he behaves the way he does. Analyzing his character.

Most of his behaviors come from his mother. She's a sex worker and does drugs, and it's known (if you pay attention), Eric isn't exactly separated from her job. In fact, he relates sex to violence and loving attention to abuse. (Watch the Tweak vs. Craig episode).

Liane Cartman is a single mother, and Eric is a result of a one nightstand. She's not friends with the other parents. She keeps no contact with Eric's father at all. She has no friends. If you watch the Halloween episode, Eric SAYS his mother made him it. He's 8 then and doesn't have a fundamental understanding of how bad Hitler really was. On top of that, he has little to no internet restrictions. And, instead of explaining the Holocaust, she just fed into it. Even later on, she never explains.

She just lets Eric do whatever he wants. In the Dog Traininger Episode, when she finally has someone in her life besides Eric, Eric finally gets undercontrol. He starts doing his homework, brushing his teeth, using manners, and eating healthier. But when the person who was helping her leaves, she goes right back to giving in to Eric. And, for clear reasons, this isn't good. Because Cartman goes right back to being Cartman. Liane is unstable and not fit to be a mother. She has taught Cartman nothing, and he's barely her son–they both manipulate each other and are their only friends.

The environment is horrible to raise a child in, and because no one has actually sat down and talked to him, he continues to think his antisemitism, racism, and everything else.

First of all, if you aren't Jewish and you refer to Kyle as "a Jew," you already lost the argument.

Second of all, let's discuss this "Eric Cartman is a Nazi" thing.

He's ten years old.

TEN!!!!! He doesn't fucking know better.

I grew up in a very Christian town as one of the ONLY Jewish kids. I was subjected to so much hatred. I had swastikas drawn on my paper by other kids, my nose was called big and blah blah blah money jokes.

But they were my age. Where did they learn this shit?

From their parents.

Gotta look at Liane. She made him his Hitler costume. Fed him all his bigotry. He's a fucking impressionable kid, of course he's gonna listen to the adults in his life.

I had those kids tell me they should gas me, or make stupid little Anne Frank jokes (I Was actually called Anne Frank for YEARS).

Do I consider those kids Nazis? NO! BECAUSE THEY WERE YOUNG AND STUPID. And now, as I'm an adult, they no longer treat people like that. They became educated, and some even reached out to apologize to me. They learn and they grow. That's what people do as they mature. Especially those that come from an propaganda-esque family.

It is canon that Cartman leave South Park, meets a Jewish woman, falls in love with her, and converts to Judaism. And YES. Converts are JEWISH. To say otherwise is antisemitism. He clearly had denounced his ways. Why? Because he isn't fucking ten years old anymore.

All you guys are doing are watering down the term "Nazi." You call any person who is antisemitic a Nazi and that's not the fucking case. People can be antisemitic without being a "Nazi." And kids. Cannot. Be Nazis. Their brains are not developed enough to fully grasp the ideology.

I can't believe I'm typing this whole ass essay about fucking cardboard cutout 10 year olds because I'm sick and tired of everyone harassing JEWISH kyman shippers about what is and isn't a Nazi.

my favorite thing about kyman is the fact that they're meant to be opposites. there colors are quite literally complementary.

but, putting "opposites attract" aside, their dynamic is essentially yin and yang—one cannot exist without the other.

cartman is an agent of chaos, wants to wreak havoc in anyway he can. he loves the feeling of getting under kyle's skin, revels in kyle's anger. one could argue that most of his diabolical shit comes from the guise of just wanting to capture kyle's attention.

kyle is an agent of peace. he wants to keep things calm and stop whatever scheme cartman is planning. it gives him purpose in life, and him wanting to be a martyr helps to fuel this. he could just ignore cartman, like stan or kenny typically do, but he is not physically able. he has to take the bait. he can't let cartman win. it's deeply ingrained in his personality.

they give each other purpose. and that's what I fucking love about them
