*The day was warm; the sun shining bright in the sky as a cool breeze blew along as if to compliment the already peaceful setting. Ted checked his cell as he took a deep breath in; walking around to bask in the day. He could hear the leaves crunching under his shoes, the twigs breaking every so often as the birds chirped above him. The trail was a familiar as was the route he took for his normal jogs, but he never really took the time to really notice it. What better time than to do that but on a wonderful day like today. He kept along his route when he noticed something laying down in the dirt. It stuck out among the forest floor as he bent down to pick it up. It seemed like a small leather bracelet. It was the usual brown but with small white leatherings sewn to it; giving it sort of a tribal look to it. Ted looked for a brand name or something etched on it, but couldn't find any.* "I wonder who lost this" *As he stood up to take a look around the area. No one was seen in sight and the sounds of the woods only confirmed the fact that Ted was the only one out there. Still, he did like the design of it and it seemed fairly clean. He shrugged as he opened the strap around the braclet and tightened around his wrist*
*Ted quickly tried to pull himself free but the spirit's grip was strong to say the least. Small subtle changes started to happen on the human as his canine teeth started to slightly extend. Ted struggled more and more but found himself at a loss* "Let me go!" *He proclaimed. The spirit only responded by shaking his head and smiling* "Tsk Tsk Tsk, you shouldn't go taking things that don't belong to you. If you hadn't, you wouldn't be worrying about this right now and I'd be someone else's problem, but alas, here we are. Now, it would be easier if you didn't struggle so don't fight it" *The ghost said. The dingo's clear hands sinking into Ted's own limbs; the human's finger's growing dark brown fur, his palms slowly turning thicker into a pair of black paw pads as his nails started to extend into claws. Ted wasn't sure what was going on, but he knew that the bracelet was causing this. He had to get rid of it. He jerked his shoulder forward but his hand didn't follow. In fact, he had no control over his hands as he looked back at the dingo, his face slowly changing to match the invading spirit's own fur pattern* "Really? Did you think I was gonna let you just take it off that easy? It's already too late. I've won. Just stop struggling and let this happen"
*The spirit slowly kept sinking himself into the struggling human. Vanilla fur starting to grow on his chest as his ears fully perked out, large and erected. His fingers fur color changed to a white tone to match the invading spirit's color pallete; giving his hand a glove like look. Black fur running it's way up the arms as a tail slowly flomfed out.* "Stop...doing this..." *Ted tried to plead with the Dingo but a growing muzzle soon stopped that as he winced from the pressure* "Stop what?" *The Dingo answered playfully* "Here I am giving you the greatest gift I can give. Becoming me" *The Dingo couldn't help but chuckle to himself* "Ungrateful you humans are. Oh well, not like it matters wither you like it or not because by the end of it, you'll be reincarnted into something better in mind, body and..." *He snickered slightly* " and soul"
*The Dingo continued his pursuit into his new body as the human's body started to erect slightly taller to fit the spirit's own height. The last of his phantom limbs settling into place as the ghost looked over the changing body* "Looking pretty good here. Now, for the best part" *The ghost began to push his own face into the back of the human's head, going slow and steady as Ted's own facial structure changed faster and more prominent. The fur covering his face fully now as new growls and whines could be heard coming from his throat. Ted grabbed onto his arm and squeezed as he battled the adversary at hand. The Dingo's voice could be heard in his own head now, echoing almost* "That's right. Let us be one...Become my new body, just let me in that head of yours. Become me, Doku. Just me.....Just you" *Those were the final words that echo'd through Ted's head until the spirit fully took over. His last phantom limb gently falling into place as he opened his eye's; his left one taking on a golden color while the right stayed a emerald green*
*The Dingo looked over himself as he pressed his hands against his new body in haste. Running his fingers through his arm fur as he pressed against his own skin underneath. A smile crept along his muzzle as he let out a loud laugh.* "I can't believe that worked. This...This is mine now!" *He looked down at the slightly torn clothes that had belonged to the previous owner. He pulled on them with a evil smile* "This was too easy. Don't worry 'Me' *He said with a loud emphasis* "I'll put my body to better use than you ever would.' *He couldn't help but feel giddy right now as his tail wagged behind him.*
*Some time had passed since that day and Doku already found a place for himself in the world. Still, he couldn't help but every so often when he'd take off the bracelet or just glance down at it and smile at the victory he had that day.*
