About Mike Yates
Now we all know about Nick Courtney's infamous quote (as said by Katy Manning)
this is totally true bc its canon and apparently, it was an accident bc Richard Franklin wanted an exit line with the brig, and then he walked to the producer, asked for a line, then he said "why couldn't yates ask the brig for a dance with the others but the brig refuses ?" so that's what happened and it wasn't planified much since the lines were decided just before filming, on set. So nick courtney, right after the scene, said his infamous quote, which started the whole idea about Mike Yates being gay.
BUT ENOUGH WITH MEESKA MOUSKA MIKEY NOW THE REAL QUESTION IS SUPPOSED TO BE "IS BRIGADIER ALISTAIR GORDON LETHBRIDGE STEWART GAY ??"
well I'm here in midnight having no life for this :D
so you cannot deny the tension between brig and the doctor, whilst you can't say the doctor is gay since the doctor is not a person, its a soul, an entity, that can be any gender and sexuality ever, so let's skip the doctor and go to the bRiGaDiEr
NOW the brigadier had multiple wives and relationships in his past that didn't work out but HELL0OoO ?!? He is loyal to the doctor for AGES and probably changed wives in the meantime ! WOMEN CAN'T BE HIS THING !!
conclusion : the brig is gay and alcoholic, and mike yates is gay (obviously)
