thinking about how hiccup holds his hand out to toothless and then closes his eyes and trusts toothless not to eat his hand and lets toothless choose whether or not he interacts and toothless hesitates for a bit before putting his face in hiccups hand and trusts him not to hurt him. and it is a consensual optional interaction based on mutual trust and understanding. and then the first line we hear after this scene is gobber saying "and with one twist, he took my hand and swallowed it whole" and the Parallels and the Themes and the Narratives im running in circles in my room

Oh my goodness. OH MY GOODNESS. I finally got around to watching this. I am typing it while I'm in tears. That was gorgeous. Everything was cut together so perfectly. I've never seen a more perfect video edit. Holy shit.

if anyone's able to help my friend with their cat, it's a huge emergency. her urethra is blocked by a urinary stone and she is unable to urinate. obviously, as her kidneys aren't going to just stop producing urine, this is a HUGE emergency and is extremely time sensitive. if anyone's able to help with emergency vet bills, PLEASE do.

So I know that I should have a life by now, but I don’t, and my 2021 thought is that actually, httyd 2 and the hidden world are in the wrong order.  Reasons being: 

Grimmel makes more sense as a sequel villain than Drago does.  Grimmel is very personal, he’s after night furies, he has a backstory similar to Hiccup’s, he’s fundamentally a foil.  After Hiccup’s initial success in the first movie, I think it would be fundamentally more interesting to see him immediately encounter someone who had all of the same choices as him and took the opposite path.

Only one year and then he had to say goodbye to Toothless.

Hiccup is such a strong character and the way you could see the weight of the world on his shoulders at just 21 years old…

If there was someone who deserved that happy ending was him

And you’re led to thinking it’s about romantic love (Toothless/Light Fury, Hiccup/Astrid, Stoick/Valka) but in the end you realize it’s actually talking about Hiccup and Toothless??? HTTYD3 is a platonic love story about a boy and his dragon.
