Two eyes peer out from inside one of the bushes. Tommy slowly brings his hands, still spit-covered, to his sides. He blinks. The eyes blink back.

He screams.

Funtober Day 31: Free Prompt Take some wild lookin Fundy! I'm (ATTEMTPING) to queue this post because I'm gonna be super busy the actual 31st so I did this early.

(More talking + no-text version after the cut!)

So. It's been a month. A whole month of writing or drawing for at least an hour every day (sans day 16. I might end up writing something to make up for that, not sure yet), all dedicated to Fundy. That's a lot of work! I'm so glad to have free time again! But I don't regret any of it. Not only has this challenge improved my creative abilities (both in writing and drawing), it has also introduced me to a lovely community of people, and gotten me out of my comfort zone and generally just doing more with myself.

Though most of these were written/drawn with his dsmp character in mind, Fundy is more than just this character to me. He's been such an important part of my life this past half-year+ I've been in the fandom, and he's somewhat of a role model for me. I'm glad to have been able to share my appreciation in such a way, and I'm so happy we have a community that's so willing to create fun events such as this.

its 2 am, i just posted my final funtober2021 fic, and im going to ramble about it

just.

this has been a fucking amazing experience.

i've been wanting to write fanfic for years. in august, i finally wrote my first -- a 8000 word c!eret character/lore study -- which i then proceeded to post over september.

then october came, and with it #intothefundyverse. and now i've written a total of 46218 words.

i set myself a goal of 50% of the prompts. i ended up doing 80%. that's 38,182 words over 25 works. or an average 1527 words per fic, or 1232 words per day. this is more than some people's daily output, and less than other's, but the important thing for me is that it is far, far, <i>far</i> more than pre-october me's output. just. thank you to everyone who has participated in funtober2021, in any way. reading, commenting, bookmarking, liking, reblogging, retweeting, drawing art, writing fanfic, just any and all of it. also, double thanks to anyone who engaged with my fics in any way. writing was rewarding enough, but going on line to see new numbers or new words was truly its own experience, and one that made my day each and every time. i plan to keep writing. probably not as frequently, but at least i'll have time to actually edit now. i definitely have some ideas -- some continuing from funtober2021 works, some not -- that i definitely want to turn into words.
