I've recently fallen back in my DC Robins Era and everytime I see a reference to Tim's photography my first thought is "nice I love photography being mentioned in popular media"

However, my second thought is "how big is his fucking camera lens"

This child is taking presumably high quality photos of Heros In The Middle Of Fights/Patrol AT NIGHT WITH A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF FLORESCENT LIGHTING FROM THE BUILDINGS

That lens would Have to be At Least 600 dollars (on the low end) (he is rich so I'll let that part slide) but there is no fucking way a 9 year old is lugging that giant ass lens around all night

I love this conversation because it's good and funny and important all at once, but I hate, loathe, that this had to be Bane's conclusion for the sake of a poorly handled reboot to make him a straight up villain after years of Bane recovering -- It's extremely dumb because he's literally been losing his shit to the point of having several members of his team Hold Him Back over any offense against Scandal Savage. Bane's resource guarding and spontaneous, murderous temper has been a running gag the entire series. It makes no sense that it would suddenly matter regarding Spencer, except that he had to backpedal for DC to ruin his character arc in the reboot.

What makes it worse is his 'no i won't bow to any religion' when he's spent this whole arc actively citing western religious morality (and saying that being trapped in a cell with the eye of god watching you sounded 'glorious'), and his 'I'm going to hell regardless I should just do what I want and be horrible on purpose' was nipped in the bud by Scandal literally two issues prior to this. And there is no world in which I could be convinced there was no conflict with Scandal about his implants and his intention to get back on venom after everything they went through together.

Anyway yes this is another post about how much I hate reboot Bane and I just think if they were going to put him through a mid-life crisis, someone should've addressed that in canon by now.

The amount of mortal/immortal lover ships in Gail Simone's Secret Six have me fucked up at 2 AM on a Sunday. But specifically Jeannette/Deadshot, as I am deeply predictable. Like, Scandal/Kay are just fine, they can go get Liana from heaven or something because that's just how the DCU works but Floyd? Floyd wouldn't want to come back, realistically. Jeannette's going to be waiting for him. Forever. I mean, I've little doubt that she'll move on in some capacity because even when she was banging Deadshot she was flirting with other people and let's be honest, half of the Secret Six are likely polyamorous. But then I keep going back to that line of Deadshot reminding her of the husband she murdered because he was a dick. I need to ask Gail Simone about all of this at Wondercon and in a more succinct manner if I can even find the words but I just wonder how Jeannette would feel if Floyd died. This is fucked up but it's like. Having a pet type of thing where you miss them for longer than you knew them; for longer than you'll ever know them? And statistically she probably does have a non-0 amount of exes who have died before, but we never saw any of that in canon. I don't know, I've never had a partner die, but it's something I ruminate on from time to time. Also just interesting to me that it's an inversion of the usual trope in that the at least 450+ year old woman [however undead she may be] is the one that loves life. Her partner is just 100% done with it.
