I suppose it depends on where you look. From what I have been seeing, the general consensus is that Extraction is a solid 7/10 for the time being almost all across the board, which is nowhere near a bad review score. That means that the game is definitely good, but lacking in some cases. If you want a good review on YouTube, I'd recommend GmanLive's review of Extraction. I wouldn't recommend people like Skill Up because it has far too much misleading information.
So as i see the reviews of R6Extraction aren鈥檛 that bright and pretty much say what i was/am most affraid of with this game and the reason why i didn鈥檛 preorder it 馃槵馃槵馃槵

Can't wait to see some people blinded dismiss any criticism whatsoever of the new operator just because they're transgender regardless of how valid they may or may not be.

Imagine still thinking that Metacritic User Scores are a reliable source of deciding how people actually like a game. Yeah, I'm sure that those 26 now 27 reviews certainly speak for the thousands upon millions of people playing this game right now.

"My Fandom Collab Challenge. - Will it take off?"
I wanted to make this post to commemorate to very special video game franchises. Those being "God of War" and "Devil May Cry". These two juggernauts of the video game industry share a place in the hearts of gamers everywhere for different reasons.
Devil May Cry was the great innovator of the Hack n Slash genre in its time and God of War was one of the few Hack n Slash games born in the wack of a post Devil May Cry world to branch out and become a genre defining juggernaut of its own. As you can see, these two franchises go way back and they are still here with us now. By next year, the Devil May Cry franchise will have become 20 years old while the God of War franchise pushes on to 16.
Seeing both of these epic games and characters return to dominate the latter half of the last decade was a pleasure to watch. And seeing both games return in their own way yesterday to even treading on here was a treat for the eyes. I think that this is cause for a type of early celebration. To pay our respects to both of these titans of the video game industry.
..................................................................................
And so, I came up with this idea...
How's about we have ourselves a little fandom collab, much like Animal Crossing and Doom earlier this year. I was thinking of proposing a challenge where we all do something to show our appreciation for these franchises whether it be: fan art/ fan works, blogs, showing off collections, etc.
And then we all tag it with the phrase #DevilMayCryxGodofWar or #DMCxGoW or something along those lines.
..................................................................................
I don't know about you all, but ever since the release of God of War 4 in 2018 and Devil May Cry V in 2019, I have for the longest time been wanting to see some awesome fanart of both Dante from Devil May Cry V and Kratos from God of War 4 respectively sitting down and having drinks together as rivals, but also great friends. I think that that would be perfect. Can we make it happen?
Only time will tell if this will take off or not. So spread the word everyone.

Newsflash, REAL operators AREN'T the incompetent man children that this fan base paints them out to be. Nor are they expected to be happy go lucky all the time when they're job is to constantly put down terrorist, prevent World Wars from happening, etc.
Let's see you go through ONLY HALF of the bs that Sam Fisher went through in his own franchise and see how long it takes you to off yourself from the pressure. Flipping annoying fanbrats...

People Really Need to Calm Down About the Prince of Persia Remake.
So, it's come to my attention that there is some slight outrage about the way the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake looks. Understandably, people aren't too thrilled about the graphics on account of how they look more than a little unpolished in some regards. However, what isn't understandably is why people are taking this small inconvenience as a sign of Ubisoft trying to give the series a half-baked remake to be put on the market so that people can just shut up about it.
It has already been established that the game is in pre-alpha with most of the hard work already visibly finished in the trailer in question. With the game set to release in late January, that should be more than enough time to spruce up the visuals, work out the textures, adjust any animation errors if need be, etc.
Guys and gals, I firmly believe that Ubisoft is not trying to spite us with this remake. It's already been stated that most of the creative decisions were made in order to pay homage to the original game which was already a mechanically and visually sound game in many areas that other games that received remakes (I.E. Resident Evil 2 and Final Fantasy 7) weren't. The team that worked on the game seem very passionate to be bringing this franchise back to life and they should be commended for that.
Instead of ridiculing the game for not looking more real than our reality, temper your expectations, and encourage the people behind it to work to make the game the best that it possibly can be so that it can make that January release date. DO NOT harass these people or insult their work. They do not deserve your disdain.
Please Spread The Word.

The Mulan Boycott is Stupid and a Complete Waist of Time and Energy.
I will never understand why people think a boycott is going to make some huge difference in any meaningful way. In what regards is trying to decrease the amount of income that this movie is going to make going to make Hong Kong or all of China safer for the people there? In what way is trying to decrease this movies income going to send a message to Disney about live action remakes when they've already proved time and time again to be commercially viable? Your justification for all this is because the leading lady said something that you didn't like?
If you people truly want to make a difference, learn to choose your battles more wisely. The people of Honk Kong and all of China for that matter have more important things to worry about than whether or not you choose to watch an American made movie.

PowerPuff Girls Live Action Series Hot Take:
I'm going to be frank here peeps, unlike most people I am NOT against the idea of the PowerPuff Girls receiving a live action adaptation and I think that it in some ways it could be beneficial to the franchise. However, that's a project for another day, so stay tuned. As for the show in general, well there isn't much to go by aside from the general description which is as equally inviting as it is worrying.
..................................................................................
So, I have looked through some early critiques of the upcoming Powerpuff Girls live action series, and most of them revolve around the same basic point. "This series is unnecessary because the Powerpuff Girls chooses to be superheroes and had a relatively healthy childhood, so they wouldn't grow into disillusioned adults who loathe their past as superheroines.".
And to that I have to ask, "Are you sure about that?".
The Powerpuff Girls, unlike most superheroes, did indeed choose to fight crime of their own free volition out of the goodness of their hearts. However, such a lifestyle comes with it's own ramifications that they as young and impressionable children wouldn't possibly be able to foresee.
Can you honestly tell me that you don't think that the Powerpuff Girls could ever possibly change their outlooks on several instances in life as they got progressively older?
If you say "No", then you probably recognize that age gap from a toddler to a young adult is a very broad one and plenty of transformations are bound to happen during that time. Some in the girls control. Many out of their control. The possibility of them staying the same is very slim.
If you say "Yes", then you probably are referring back to some instances in the original series where they girl's resolve was put to the test. Given how they mostly always came out on top with a ruffly unchanged demeanor, you would probably come to the conclusion that their will would grow stronger and their outlooks more realized and sensible with age.
Both sides of the discussion are valid in their own right; however, there is a much more interesting discussion to be had with those who lean towards "Yes.". The thing with the original series is that while the girls did grow in the episodes that they were in they didn't grow long-term. Now, what I mean by this is that previous lessons that they girls learned never carry over into other episodes "unless the plot demanded it". Keep that last part in mind. This is very common for certain episodic television series' of that time and while it doesn't ruin the premises of each each episode it dose create some odd dissonance and contradictions between episodes. Like when Blossom chastised Buttercup for being excessively violent with criminals despite her and Bubbles being openly excessively violent with criminals in their own right. Or when Bunny's death was a very impactful moment for the girls yet it was never mentioned or brought up again afterwards. No person would just move on from an experience like that so quickly, let alone children.
The reason why I bring this up is because these issues with the original series aren't always brought up yet they are important to note so that later entries in the franchise don't make the same mistakes. If I am correct, this live action series aims to have a world where past events shaped the girls into who they were with a sense of hard consequences. That is VERY important for this show to nail if it wants to succeed and I am glad that it is aiming for that direction.
..................................................................................
That's about it for now. My next big project is going to be about how a live action adaptation of the Powerpuff Girls can work and how it could hugely benefit the franchise and Cartoon Network if done well. It's going to take a lot of research and analysing to get it done, so stay tuned for that. Bye for now.

This right here is one of the things that really annoys me about this fan base. Particular the one on here.
Far too many people get a sick kick out placing the operators in precarious positions for their own sick kicks. Having them say and do so many out of character things to the point where they aren't even the same characters anymore.
And above all else, they drain the characters of their essence by essentially making them out to be horny teenagers who constantly telling bad jokes instead of the professional spec ops. safe guards that they are supposed to be.
And their excuse is that it's all in the name of "fun" and isn't hurting anybody so it doesn't matter. Regardless of whether it affects me or not, it's annoying that such a thing takes precedence over many of more creative and actually interesting things that this community has to offer. It's like all the crummy memes have gone to people's heads and they forget what Rainbow Six is all about.

Rant over.

Thoughts on the Future of the TF Movie Franchise.
I have to say, after watching BumbleBee and closely examining the status of the franchise, I must say... I don't really have much confidence for the franchise moving forward. These are just my thoughts on the matter though. I"ll briefly do a review of some sorts for the movie as I segway into my main topic of discussion.
Now, I'm not saying that I think the movie is bad or anything, but it was very dry and lukewarm for me. Unpopular opinion, I know. The thing is though, for a movie that is supposedly going to be a "reboot" to a movie franchise that has been standing the test of time for over a decade, it wasn't a very strong start. Pretty much the main thing that it has going for it is the whole G1 appeal that they feel the need to constantly stress along with the fact that this is not a movie directed by Micheal Bay.
Now, unlike some people who I've discussed the movie with, I'm not going to give the movie a ruff time for it's lack of action in comparison to the original 5. I understand that they wanted to tell a more calmer and down to Earth story and I like small number of Decepticons that BumbleBee faced on Earth as well as the battle back on Cybertron was sufficient enough. I also liked how the action was cleaner without too many explosions going on as well as being mostly one-take without the weird jump cuts in movies like TF 4 and TF 5. I am however going to talk about the movies large cast of dry and one note characters.
For a movie that takes pride in how it's story is supposed to be deeper then the past few movies, and how it has a substantial amount of "heart" that the previous movies lacked, apparently, it all feels pretty artificial at times. Most of the characters that are showcased in this movie (Not including the characters that made cameo appearances.) are very one note without much of anything defining them aside from: Charlie, BumbleBee, Dropkick and Shatter, and maybe Optimus. I didn't include John Cena because the dude pretty much played himself, so I'm not exactly sure how to critique his performance. This movie shouldn't even really be called BumbleBee seeing as how most of the movie is spent focusing on her struggles above the struggles of the actual main character that the movie is named after. A common complaint from people who watched the other movies that is conveniently swept under the rug this time around like most of the films flaws.
Next is the how the movie handles emotion. For a movie of it's nature, it handles the subject pretty well. Charlie is by far the best character in the movie with great development and progression making her easily one of the most developed human characters in the movieverse. However, this of course has it's fair share of flaws as well. Most of the emotional appeal is focused on her and her solely to the point where other emotional moments in the film don't feel at all important like Cliffjumper's death for instance. That along with BumbleBee's supposed death midway through. Not only that, but the movie at times feels like it's trying too hard to get a reaction out of you with how it constantly brings up Charlies dead father. I can understand the movie constantly reminding us of his death in order to emphasis that she's constantly thinking about him, but it could've been handled much better if the movie didn't feel the need to have her emotions feel so exaggerated.聽
It follows in line with how many modern day t.v. shows nowadays try appeal to audiences by making them feel heavily for the characters. It may be charming at first, but over time it starts to feel disingenuous with how much the characters struggles are constantly shoved in front of our faces as if we don't realize that these characters are going through hard times. This issue is especially prevalent in the later seasons of shows like Steven Universe where the feeling has noticeably dipped down for some people because the over-exaggerated emotions eventually leave people out and end up making the characters seem whinny above all else.聽
BumbleBee is a low budget live action movie and it shows in several cases. Clearly a lot of the design work went into BumbleBee and maybe even Dropkick and Shatter. The CGI while nice enough with G1 designs and realistic looking enough, is noticeably toned down, a little too fluid to the point where every movement made by the Transformers feels oddly floaty and not very grounded, and a lot less detailed than the previous films. For ancient sentient alien robots that have been fighting in a war that has been ravaging their entire planet, they look a little too clean in comparison to how they looked in some of the previous films. Aside from some casual rustware and scratches on all other Transformers that aren't BumbleBee, which you may not even notice unless you were looking hard for these details like I was, there isn't much battle damage or carnage displayed afterwards.聽
The CGI effects in general seem lackluster at times. It's clear that a majority of the budget went into the Cybertron war scene, though it feels as though that's where the CGI begins to look the most cartoony. In fact, many elements of the Cybertron war scene look suspiciously animated to the point where it feels almost like an odd design choice as a homage to the G1 show and movie. Wouldn't put it past them and it would admittedly make for in interesting design choice if that were the case, yet I feel as though that sacrifices a lot of the believability of the movie for that particular scene. Prime example (No pun intended.), the scene where Ravage was ejected out of Soundwave's chest. That whole transition always look off to me. It was smooth, but very noticeably off in terms of movement. This is just a personal complaint however as I am more used to the realistic movements as well as designs and atmosphere of the previous films.
As I conclude this brief overview of the BumbleBee movie and transition into my main thoughts and feelings towards the future of the Transformers movies, I want to talk about the biggest issue I have with the direction of these new movies. Aside from the people behind these movies not at all knowing whether or not they want these movies to be a fully reboot or not, BumbleBee felt like it was meant to appeal to nobody, but G1ers, people who didn't like the previous films, or just casuals in general really. I feel like this is a big step backwards personally. What made the previous films so special was that they were a thorough rejection of all of the things that defined how Transformers are "supposed" to be. In a time where the franchise was dying out and people where constantly saying that nothing outside of G1 works, these movies came along and proved those statements wrong. In return, the changed the mythology and way we all perceived the Transformers forever. The movies were able to appeal to all forms of Transformers fans because they didn't stand for one single mythology and acted as an amalgamation of many different forms of the franchise. Had they gone with there original plans for The Last Knight, they would have even incorporated Optimus Primal somehow, and that would've in turn appealed to the Beast Wars fans. G1, as good as it is, on it's own does not appeal to everyone which is something that Hasbro doesn't seem to understand. I'm not a G1er, so aside from some semblance of odd nostalgia as well as making it easier to spot out some fan favorites, these designs just don't do much of anything for me personally.
BumbleBee was a good movie, not a great movie imo. It doesn't do anything to try and shake up the formula and feels mainly like it was just meant to cater to fanfare without any proper intentions of being the start of a new generation of Transformers movies. Budget issues aside, the movie plays itself far to safe even for what they had intended for their story to be. It isn't at all perfect and yet it could have been so much more. 聽
...
So with all that said and done, how exactly does this translate into me worrying about the future of this movie franchise???
This personally makes me feel a tad bit worried for the future of the franchise. The franchise now lacks a sense of direction because it's being seemingly forced to transition into this new form without a proper plan of action. As much as I liked what Travis Knight did with BumbleBee, I would prefer if a more experienced director took the wheel from here on out.聽
As far as money goes, the franchise is also on a step decline with BumbleBee being the lowest performing movie yet. You may say that money doesn't matter in this case seeing as how the movie made back a significant amount of money, it's still considered a financial flop in comparison to the other films, and rightfully so. Transformers is a multi-billion dollar franchise and as such should be expected to make as much money with it's big projects like these. BumbleBee was expected to bring in huge numbers regardless of it's low budget, but didn't. However, because it was well received, it's getting a sequel, but the numbers have to start rising or else.
They also don't seem to know what they want to do with the sequel aside from making it a buddy movie of some sorts with Optimus Prime. At least the director recognizes the importance of staying true to the previous movies to a certain degree to go as far as to include "Bayhem" into the movies going forward.聽
All in all, the future of the franchise while promising, is by no means going to be guaranteed success. It's very easy to see how they can potentially mess this up without proper direction and focus. That's all for now.
