I've had some Legends-style starter evos in mind for a while, so I decided to design them in honor of today's announcement! Which one would you pick?

Cinderace is Fire/Psychic (playing cards theme), Primarina is Water/Poison (cabaret theme), and Meganium is Grass/Bug (avant garde/fashion theme)! I had a ton of fun with these and I can't wait to see which starters are ACTUALLY available in the game!

i am worried that giving your stema characters abilities with the same names as pokémon ones and using the same shiny symbols, and some of the samw type symbols will make people think stema is a fakémon thing as opposed to an original, non pokémon thing that you're trying to make into a game

Ay, thank you for caring! While I do use the names of Pokemon's abilities in my videos, but I've mentioned in several videos that it's just to help paint a better picture of the creature with terms people are familiar with.

In the game I am working on, the attributes will have different names/effects, and explaining some of them would require explaining how Stema as a game works. I plan on going over it one day, but as of now, I want at more of the game to be functional before talking about it. After I do explain my game, I'll most likely start using my own terms.

As with the "shinies", the game I'm working on currently doesn't have recolors as I'm frankly kind of scared of the fact that I'll need to redraw every sprite for a recolor due to how my artstyle has no contour lines to hide any artifacts from color scaling :((( I just had recolors back when this was mostly a collection of creature designs, before I had the idea to make a whole different game. However, if I ever do implement recolors, I'll make sure to use a different symbol 👍

#Honestly I’d love to see a more expansive recolor system in stema beyond what shinies are in Pokémon #like albino; melanistic; partial; etc etc
