I agree with this. I do. But, to be fair, you're acting like 24 years is a lot of life to live and it's not. I'm sure for people who have been in a relationship or married for years and years with ups and downs and a lot of shit going on it's a little bit more of a complex issue. And maybe it's exactly that something went wrong in that persons life. I'm not defending cheating but to think it's a cut and dry issue is naive I think. Although, I'm also 24 so I may not know wtf I'm talking about
cheating is not “bound to happen” i’ve been alive almost 24 years and not once have i ever thought “hey i wonder what it’d be like to go outside of my relationship and destroy a persons self esteem and ability to trust”
never bitch
cheating is an active choice. its not second nature. and if it is second nature to you, then you need to do some real soul searching and figure out what the fuck went wrong in your life
Zendaya is officially joining the Marvel universe with Spider-Man role

I think our collectively decided upon ‘NO SPOILERS’ for Star Wars is so honestly kind of precious?
Obviously there are some jerks out there trying to ruin it, (I had a small bit spoilered for me, for example, by internet trolls attacking someone else) but overall?
I mean, sure, in some ways I think it’s a bit extreme (no, 'I liked the movie, the main character was great’ is not spoiler-territory), & frustrating because dangit I WANT TO FLAIL ABOUT XYZ AND THE THING WITH THE STUFF…
But when BIG movies like this happen of late, I walk out of theatre & key scenes are already giffed, live-tweeted, hyped…
If not beforehand, when set pics & spoilers & previews & interviews & hype mean that half the movie feels telegraphed prior to it even hitting theatres.
And sometimes that’s fun, but sometimes it feels like a bit of the momentum gets lost, the meaning of each bit fragmented in ways that can detract from the whole, in terms of the first viewing of whatever it is.
But this movie?
Everyone is being really quiet about it, and it’s interesting.
I think part of it is us recognizing the desire to capture nostalgically something of what the first audiences must have felt in 1977…
To go in to some weird space movie they knew very little about, with no idea it would be the massive phenomenon it was.
And it’s hard, to still feel that way, when there’s that weight of the last six movies, for better or worse, and a PR machine that includes branding of almost every product on the shelves…
So the avoiding of spoilers is almost a way to preserve that tension & innate excitement of the unknown, even as PR for the movie saturates?
It’s 'I want you to be just as surprised as me, just as hesitant in the right moments, just as excited & joyous & sad’, & ‘I want you to love this on your own terms, not because of what other people thought about this scene or that, to form your own judgement, & hopefully embrace it with the giddiness of the new’.
My dad: "Ugh seriously why is everyone always bringing race into it nowadays. Come on we're all human" *us watching a favorite show* My dad: "Do you think she's Asian? She looks like she's half Asian or something" Me: "I'm not sure but I don't think it matters to the story or her character" My dad: "You know what I bet she's Native American"
My friends(don't have tumblr): have u seen this meme lol, it was on the 'best of tumblr' facebook page, tumblr is so funny
Me, a tumblr gremlin: haha yeah lol, think i've seen that one before lol
Me (what I really mean): you fools. I am plugged into the mainframe, wired to the primary source. Of course have seen that meme, and all 5000 of it's variants, 3 and a half months ago. I have seen the rise and fall of that meme, the boom and bust, the drama, the pain, the shitposting, oh god, the shitposting. I have seen this meme in it's rawest, freshest, unpasturised, most primal state. Do not insult me with these rank, stale puddles, that sit at the very base of the meme trickle down economy.
