I was so psyched to having bought the 7070 that I had to stop everything and spin my disco playlist on Deezer. About 40% of it are Trammps songs. The Philadelphia sound! Pure gold. A piece of music history that's rather unheard of and unspoken about these days, even though everybody has listened to Disco Inferno. Ah, the seventies! Those were THE times. It wasn't about pushing keys on a computer keyboard. It wasn't about sampling and looping, and groove quantizing, and auto-tuning. It was about chops. It was real.

Of course after that I had to indulge in vintage stereo purchases. Thought I'd like a Sansui 7070 in the cave, please... and make that with a pair of Sansui SP 1200A speakers, please. Yes, sir. Excellent choice, sir. You have great taste. Not the flagship receiver, not the 9090dB, but it doesn't have to be. I'm not throwing a party for 200 people. I just want that warm, crisp sound. The speakers will require a massive rejuvenation, but that's gonna be fun too.

Covid-free after nearly two weeks having difficulty breathing. It wasn't pretty. My doctor sent me for a CT scan and blood tests, and something made him suspect pulmonary embolism, so I had to take an angiography as well. It requires an injection of contrast material into your vessels so the presence of a clot is dully diagnosed. Expensive, but crucial. I was already feeling fine when I took it, so I believe there's a very slim chance of an obstruction. Next in line is an echocardiogram. Gotta have my old pump checked.
