Races - MCD
I talked a little about races in the last post.
The elves, or Fae as I refer to them, are the guardians of Yggdrasil's roots, are immortal, and have advanced magic. Witches and Warlocks are descendants of the Fae and humans, and live longer lives with inherent magical abilities. Demons are beings who have been corrupted by Nuet.
Humans are beings with souls who pass on to either the Otherworld or somewhere else when they die.
So what about werewolves and Meif’wa?
Well. That's a simple question to answer.
Lupines, as I will be calling werewolves in MCD, were created when a man sold his soul to Ygdrasil in order to gain the power to protect his village from invading wolves. Hearing his ancient plea, the tree gifted its child the abilities of the wolves it sought to defeat. It also gave him the ability to create other soldiers such as himself, who could also spread their gifts.
However, one man who gained this ability sought to use it for his own gains. He turned many without their consent and attempted to take the world by force. Angered by this display, Ygdrasil called out to the first Lupine and gave him the ability to stop the other man. To take away his abilities. Then, they took the ability to spread the gift from all but the man and his descendants, whom they blessed for their good nature and faith.
These beings became the Ultima.
In a similar case, Tul’a was being overrun by large rodents and poisonous reptiles. A woman, hearing of the Lupines, asked for Ygdrasil to grant her abilities as well, so that she could protect her village.
And these were ancient days, before the corruption. Before pain. So the great tree obliged.
But this time they knew better, and gave only the woman the ability to spread the blessing. Only she did not have the ability to take away this power, as it was an important one in order to survive the harsh nature of the region. Eventually, The woman became the leader of Tul’a and established a happy, thriving region.
These stories eventually became lost to time. Outside Tul’a, Meifwa are heavily discriminated against. And outside their home region, which I’ll be called Shi’ra, Lupines are seen as bad omens and evil creatures.
Meifwa are typically more welcomed than Lupines, though.
I’d go over a lot of the racial implications in the actual story, but I think I’ll do a sort of play-by-play of how that would go in other posts.

Dimensions - MCD
Okay, so I figured I’d start here.
What is the Irene Dimension? The elves? Demons? Where are the other worlds? Is the NETHER a dimension?
Well, I got an answer!
In one of the episodes, Zoey mentions Yggdrasil, which is the world tree from Norse mythology. Now, considering everything I know about mythology, I got a bit inspired. So, here is what I think of the world:
Yggdrasil is the ancient, inherent magic that links the world together. A large, tree-like figure that runs through each dimension and keeps them tethered to reality. The elves, or Fae, are in charge of keeping Yggdrasil's roots sturdy, and being so close to them is what gives the Fae their immortality.
The Fae intermingled with humans and had children. Fae blood is very dominant, and the descendants of Fae are typically born with magic. This is such a common concept that Witches and Warlocks aren’t unique to the Overworld, although they aren't common, either. This is why Witches and Warlocks tend to live for centuries at a time.
Fae also taught humans magic and gifted them magic books so they could continue learning. This is how some humans, sorcerers, and sorceresses, know magic.
However, there is darkness, Nuet, that is trying to corrode Ygsdrasil and break the connections between worlds. This is what causes Fae to retreat back into their homeworld, blaming themselves and humans alike for the corrosion. Some people - Fae, human, and magical - all saw the corruption as power and tried to take it into themselves. This is what caused the first demons, and is the reason why there are so few.
The great tree, feeling the conflict and strife, and knowing that life would change without it, sent some of its power to the Overlands, blessing some of the children there.
These blessed children would grow up and become the Divine Warriors, powerful people who have ascended with the power of gods. Their only mission? Stop the corruption in this world.
And yes, the Nether IS a dimension. I’ll just be talking about it in a different post.

MCD
So it's been a long ass time since this series was relevant, but I got shit to say and I don’t know where to put it so it’s going here. I'm getting right into it.
Does anyone else think this story could have worked more if it had been fleshed out? Like if Jesson had a concept of psychology and the kind of trauma the stuff they put the characters through would have done to them? Or worldbuilding? Or a non-harem?
Well, I’ve got a few ideas!
I’ve decided to make a series of posts (cause why not? I’m a teen doing summer college courses on psychology…) detailing how I would have created the MCD world, from the Divine Warriors to the characters we know and love. Including different races, worldbuilding ideas, a correct concept of how things affect the mind, and much more!
But I’ve got some things that I know I want to fix.
The first one is that Aphmau x Aaron has to stay. As much as I dislike it in canon, I feel like it was always going to be there. I mean, Jason plays Aaron, and Jess plays Aphmau, so what other ship really has a chance?
Fix the Shadow Knights. I don’t care how. I just am.
Backstory where?
No harem. Get it out.
Garroth and Laurence get to have better character moments that don’t revolve around Aphmau. Aaron does too, of course. I feel like it’s a waste of a character, male or female when you center their arc around a love interest being their main reason for living or being good or helping people because, well.
I’m gonna get a bit crazy here and get into some psych stuff so, uh, bear with me, please? But when you act like the boys do around Aphmau, you have a clear case of toxic codependency. Garroth joins his evil brother just because he can't be with her? Laurence sacrifices his life even though he practically JUST MET HER? Aaron’s trauma acts weird around her like she's all he needs to get better?
Um, no. That's not a good thing. It's essentially placing your identity into someone else. You’re not you if you're not with them. And that's not how a healthy relationship should work. Yes, you feel like you are better for loving them, but love is built on faults. You should love your spouse because they're them and they help you be the best you can be, but at the end of the day, you should still be your best when there not around. If you break up, you should still be the person you are even if you are without them.
I’m not the best at explaining, but essentially if you're in love with someone, and they help you get a degree and a stable job and a good life? But they love someone else, and are with them instead because they’re not obligated to love you back? You should still be the person you are, even when you're with the other person.
The boys arent like that with Aphmau, and that's the problem.
Sorry for the little tangent, but anyway, Garroth and Laurence won’t be “in love” with Aphmau. They have their own stories and moments that they’ll have.
Kawaii-chan will be called Nana here. And she will have her own story.
Dante. Love him here. Why wasn’t he as good in Mystreet?
I’m changing the tones up here a bit. Good drama, a bit grittier. Some deep story changes though. Still centered in the same kinda world, just… different.
And one of the big ones in my opinion; Werewolves and Meif’wa’s. Or as I’ll be referring to them, Lupines and Meifwa’s. I think it was really weird that Meifwa’s were primarily human-looking while Lupines were… literally wolfs on two legs? It’s stupid. I’m expanding cultures, fixing things, and overhauling all of that. Lupines and Meifwa’s are both a tiny bit animal looking, with a bit of fur, but are otherwise human.
And that's it for my first post! If you have any questions before I post next, feel free to ask me anything!
Oh, and MCD belongs to Aphmau. I’m just taking creative liberties with the series.
