One of the struggles your modern modern mind contends with is confirmation bias. There is a part of you more committed to what you believe than what is real. The mind is designed to create and navigate meaning. It only knows what it knows. As you get older, the meanings you make becomes the augmented reality you experience life through. Don't get me wrong. The illusions are vital. They allow you to anticipate and recognize patterns in your surroundings at levels way beyond conscious thought. This is how we are able to drive a car and have a conversation at the same time (well, most of us). But when you don't spent time clearing out meaning that holds you back, it builds up like plaque. The war we all fight is in our minds. It's being willing to let go of the truth we hold self-evident to grasp a meaning more empowering. This is your life. Best investment for your well-being. I love gardening.I plant fruits, veggies and flowers. I spend time with them in the morning and afternoon. Talking, singing and dancing to them. They all blossom very well. They are so intelligent. Someone told me that I have a green thumb. If you start talking, I’m not going to interrupt you. I will listen. Maybe I’ll stop listening if I don’t like what you are saying, but I won’t interrupt you. When you finish speaking, I’ll make up my mind about what you said, but I will not tell you I don’t agree unless it is important. Otherwise, I’ll just keep quiet and I’ll go away. You have told me all I need to know. There is no more to be said. But this is not enough for the majority of white people. People should regard their words as seeds.
