Technology is taking over the world, especially the healthcare system. Technology innovations that help patients in the long run would be 3D printer technology. This 3D printer enables professionals to produce patient-specific models that exactly replicate a trouble spot inside a patient. This type of technology will help us physically see the problem that’s going on in a patient's body. A model of the issue will be provided which can give doctors a better idea of how to solve it. For example, if there was a tumor that was a difficult spot to see or remove, a 3D model would help give our trained professionals a variety of possible procedures to bring a better-informed solution to the operating room. This enhances the team-based training environment. Surgeons can physically handle models and examine them. This model allows for a more specialized, personalized, and precise treatment plan. This can help improve healthcare quality and reduce costs. This printing can also be a vital asset in the public health response to the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s helped alleviate supply chain shortages, from swabs used for COVID testing to splitting devices that enable multiple people to use a single ventilator. Other examples of 3D printing body parts include a functioning artificial ear from scientists at Cornell University, and blood vessels from researchers at the University of Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.

Termination/Abortion is one of the biggest ethical dilemmas in the Sonography field. If a patient is asking for an abortion a doctor has to give the proper instructions and comfort with the examination. The examination has to be thoroughly explained and implemented properly with the correct techniques. The principles sometimes conflict with each other leading to ethical dilemmas when applied to issues such as abortion, contraception, euthanasia, professional misconduct, confidentiality truth-telling, professional relationships with relatives, religion, traditional medicine, and business concerns. Another ethical dilemma is the confidentiality of the patient's medical Information; however, the rule of confidentiality is never broken. HIPPA Law requires us to protect the patient's health information from being disclosed without the patient’s consent or knowledge. HIPPA also requires us to improve the portability of health insurance and this provision has made electronic health records safer for patients. These workers recognize the patient's individuality and provide care in a non-judgemental and non-discriminatory way. They aim to promote privacy and dignity when it comes to their patients. The comfort of the patient is the most important and crucial issue for doctors. Comfort is provided by the confidentiality of medical information and the competence to perform ultrasound examinations. The sonography profession can be challenging and rewarding and helps me make a difference in the lives of patients. Sonographers help provide imagery photos of fetuses in the womb, which can provide comfort and joy to pregnant patients.

Mental health is very important to healthcare professionals. Work in the healthcare field can be very stressful and we can be put in many emotional situations that can cause a strain on our minds and body. These workers need to make sure they are prioritizing their mental health; therapists would be a great help and taking through your issues would help ease the mind. Exposure to human suffering and death can take a toll on a person especially when it comes to babies. 93% of healthcare workers reported stress, 86% reported anxiety, 77% reported frustration, 76% reported exhaustion, and lastly 75% said they were overwhelmed. This is a big issue that needs to be dealt with and given light to, these people need to work through their problems and not bottle it up. Stigma is another factor contributing to mental health concerns among healthcare workers. There is a strong and historical stigma related to healthcare workers seeking care for mental health concerns or substance use disorders. Healthcare professionals can help reduce perceptions of stigma by having conversations with patients that normalize mental health discussion, use patient-centered communication, promote professional self-disclosure, and are tailored to patients' preferred understanding. These workers need to be in a more inclusive and supportive environment. My mental health needs to be prioritized now and before I go into college so I can do better in school. I should learn better time management and study methods.

Post #2 Career Roadmap:

I feel like my path in college will be easy and fun if I stick to my studies and focus on my education. If I make sure to study and pay attention during class. I have to have more discipline with myself and take notes that are useful and not full of unnecessary stuff. If I go to the library and use the study rooms it will help me focus in peace. I want to do my work fast and learn to have better time management. I need to stop doing my work last minute and completing it the day of. My path in college will also be a lot easier if I surround myself with people who have a good drive in school and influence me to do good things instead of aligning me with bad stuff. I need to be around good friends who want the best for me and for themselves. I should sit in the front of the class instead of the back to be seen and heard instead of quiet and in the corner. My future job will have a good salary and my experience will help promote me and improve my salary the more I work. My salary would be around 30 dollars an hour and would improve with time and experience. My wage could improve to 50 dollars an hour which would be in the top earners. I will need to attend a formal education program at an accredited college or university to receive an Associate of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Post #1 College Expectations:

I feel as though in this particular healthcare field I will be responsible for completing scanned images to a physician for further evaluation. I want to be able to take ultrasound images of many body parts and perform ultrasounds on expecting mothers. I will learn about the images and help diagnose and treat many different medical conditions. I will learn how to perform ultrasounds on the kidneys, heart, liver, stomach, and other body parts. I will need to acquire an associate degree and will most likely receive one at Broward Community College. I would eventually earn around $55,760- 70,380 or 33.84k per hour. Some benefits would Include a flexible working schedule. My classes will show me what I need to learn for the future. I am majoring in Science and taking classes in Sonography. I will study in the library and use it to my advantage, especially the study rooms. Even though there are good parts about this experience it also will take time and the intensity of the coursework can be challenging. Clinical training is a big part of the Sonography programs, a clinical component where students gain hands-on experience under supervision. School requires a lot of clinical hours that may be hard but they also provide us with hands-on training with the equipment. Study materials are given to help us succeed. College algebra, anatomy, and physiology are the classes that I need to pass in college to be able to go to technical school.
