eh fuck the dirtsheets for acting like mjf vs cole is just a nuisance that they have to quickly get over with to get back to mjf in the main event scene. of course max is a big miss. adam is also a big miss. are we forgetting that this was the main event of the biggest aew show ever and the best story of 2023 and one of the best stories in aew's existence? yeah the injuries suck but that's not anyone's fault and they should be given all the time and opportunity they need to continue this story when it's possible. because it shouldn't be something to 'wrap up' and get through; this feud and this relationship should be a foundational part of the company going forward. it's not just a stumbling block before mjf gets back to the main event. they are the main event, dammit.

this is why it's hard for me to jive with a lot of wrestling fans and people who comment on wrestling a lot of the time. because building stars and winning titles and having main event feuds and who draws more is what they care about while i'm over here like...i literally just care about these characters and their relationships. that's always gonna be the most important thing to me.
