Backstory: Bride Pearl and Black Widow Pearl (who belongs to @gyros-zeppelis) are murder girlfriends had gone around shattering horrible upper class gems at the request of their fellow pearls—until Era 3 began and all pearls became liberated. So now, here in this surreal, secret rendez-vous setting, they watch in the background as Conch Pearl offers their grim reaper-esque fusion a lily, telling them there’s no need to shatter anyone anymore. Now they can be truly free!

Just so people know… White Diamond wasn’t in any peril that whole time. We see that Steven’s body and White’s body shift places. Steven’s body in reality is the one that is banging his head into the wall and white’s body is the tall Steven we see. 

They were both in this position. then,

He switches into White��s point of view. 

He was certainly thinking about killing her, but only Steven’s body was in any actual danger of being hurt. 

As is shown here that Steven’s body was the one in White’s position.

We even see that it wasn’t White Diamond who was talking through White Diamond, it was still Steven which makes this scene less about killing White, and more about the killing his diamond self. Which in itself is heavy as shit and has major suicidal tones to it. He is with himself in the mind-scape being the aggressor and the victim, just like how he feels he is split right now. Always stressed out and feeling like he’s going to die, but also angry, aggressive, and dangerous. Since he literally just shattered Jasper before this. This is heavy shit and when you realize it from this point of view, it becomes much darker than what you thought. this is essentially a homicidal and suicidal thought. 

DO NOT GET ME WRONG. 

This scene was also very about Steven and his vengeful thoughts towards White!!! But it also holds other meaning that is just as if not more scary.

After all that's happened, imagine how lonely Steven must feel.

He has been feeling depressed and lost and every time he asks for help, it goes wrong.

He can't go to the gems now since they don't understand him anymore.

His friends leaving him behind...

He has so much to handle and he goes to Connie, the person that makes him happy the most thinking she could help...

And we all know how that ends up.

What happened only makes him feel worse, then he goes to the person he trusts the most, his own father and apparently that goes right. At first.

But then it all goes down again.

Who can understand him? After all of this, he goes to hide and asks for help from the person he last thought of.

And then he messes up highly

... "You can't help me anymore"

1. Mentally, emotionally, physically, and verbally abused/manipulated by a parental figure

3. A living shadow stuck in the shadow realm for who knows how long all alone

Reasons-

1. Stranded on the moon for a decade

2. Continuously attacked by monsters

3. Lost a body part in the crash

4. Isolated and desperate for contact and communication with another intelligent life form

5. Shows signs of PTSD after coming back from the moon

6. Defiantly has some childhood trauma mixed in since Scrooge raised her (same could be said for the triplets, especially Louie)

2. Emotionally, physically, and psychologically abused/manipulated by two parental figures

3. Doesn’t have a healthy outlet like Adora, or she does and chooses not to use it

Dipper Pines from Gravity Falls

Reasons-

1. Has been in multiple life threatening situations, probably having some physical and mental scars from said situations

2. Has a messed up superioroity complex where he has to be the best in certain situations

3. Might have some OCD (his obsession with lists)

4. Has trouble letting go of things (the truth about Nathaniel Northwest, how Mabel was a millimeter talker than he was, etc.)

5. Lived through the freaking apocalypse

Stanford Pines from Gravity Falls

Reasons-

1. Had his dreams ruined by his brother (accidentally)

2. Stuck being seen as a joke for years

3. Made a stupid deal with a literal demon, causing major reprocussions later down the line

4. Became paranoid as said demon started control every aspect of his life, falling into hysteria and hiding his research he spent years finding

5. Got stuck in a demon dimension for decades facing who knows what kinds of horrors

6. Only to come back and face said demon yet again

Miles Morales from Into the Spider-Verse

Reasons-

1. Not only saw his worlds Spider-Man die, but his uncle as well

2. Hunted by an actual mob boss and almost killed by said mob boss

3. Was put in a situation where he not only has to save his world from collapsing but multiple other worlds as well

Molly Blyndeff from Epithet Erased

Reasons-

1. Neglected by her father and sister after her mother passed

2. Has to run a toy store on her own (does her family’s taxes as well) and she’s like ten or twelve (I don’t remember her exact age right now)

3. May have some PTSD linked to fire shown when the museum caught fire how fast she fell apart

I’m sure I missed a few reasons and some characters, but I recently rewatched Gravity Falls and got emotional. Feel free to add more!
