Started playing Twilight Princess for the first time since I was in high school. I used to think it was ugly and boring and rigid and wasteful. I'm one dungeon in now and this game is fucking beautiful and begins on somber words and is really funny and HAS CATS AND PUPPIES and the NPCs are somehow both really cartoonish and representative of how real life people actually look. It's great! The dynamic between Link and Zelda and Midna starts off so strange and interesting because Link is trying to help Zelda, but the middleman is this seemingly very unloyal and bored goth imp. Your own abilities aside, everything just feels very uncertain. The world was NOT ready for Ooccoos.

TV Tokyo has introduced a new show in August named Game Majimesan, which translates roughly into Serious Gamers. In each edition, a famous idol is invited to sit down and play a videogame in a luxury hotel location. Previous episodes featured games like Metal Gear Solid 3, Okami and Shenmue.

For this fifth episode, Aki Suda from the idol grouo Cho Tokimeki♡Sendenbu is invited to play Ico. The show documents her progress, alternating with segments of an interview with Tadashi Miyokawa, Famitsu.com's editor-in-chief.

Baroque (1998)

Baroque is a roguelike role-playing video game developed by Sting Entertainment. It was originally released for the Sega Saturn in 1998 by Entertainment Software Publishing, then ported to the PlayStation the following year.

Baroque's story takes place following a world-altering cataclysm called the Blaze that took place on May 14, 2032.

The world, now existing in a twisted state, is populated by Meta-Beings, creatures that were once human but that have lost their hearts and minds to the Baroques inside them.

The player's goal is to reach the bottom of the Neuro Tower, the former home of the Order of Malkuth, a religious organization seeking to save God. At the beginning of the game, the protagonist is told that by purifying the Meta-Beings within the tower and reaching the bottom floor, he will find redemption for sins committed that he cannot remember.
