Q: What is your craziest witch story?
A: A crazy witch story? One time when I was young and stupid I tried to cast this spell on this boy in high school to make him fall in love with me. I ended up not being able to STAND even the sight of him for a year afterwards. It could have been the spell backfiring because I cast a spell for personal gain and tried to force someone into something not of their own free will. It also could have just been placebo because right after I cast it, I discovered the Three Fold Law and interpreted it to mean that if you try to make someone do something against their will (negative energy) it'll come back at you three fold in a very bad way.

Q: How has being a witch impacted your daily life?
A: Since becoming a witch,I always wear crystals/gemstone necklaces for positive energy, and usually always have candles lit. I found a new, very intense  love for animals and always try to talk to them and tell them how much I love them. I never litter because I love the earth and would never want to send anything negative into the universe. Overall, I’m now a super positive and healthy person.

Q: How do you feel about the recent trend of witchcraft?
A: The trendiness of witchcraft doesn't upset me as much as I know it must very old witches. Depictions of witches in the media with green skin and warts don't really bother me. However, it does frustrate me when girls get drunk at parties and decide to cast love spells or whatever that they look up on the internet. First of all, no, stop, you're drunk and that's kind of disrespectful. Second of all, Google?? The whole point of witchcraft is to CRAFT. Make your own. Thats why it's fun and spells draw power from you're own creativity. Third of all, you can't cast a spell on a boy to make him love you. Things don't work that way. It annoys me that some girls will do things like this and also be really into wearing crystal necklaces and call themselves a witch. Wicca is definitely for everybody and I don't want to discourage experimentation because it can be a lot of fun and fill you with much love for the earth and the universe, but there's a certain disrespect that these young girls are partaking in. Being a witch isn't about wearing all black or being alternative or getting attention. And that's what I've noticed with this "trend" is that young girls want to be unique so they call themselves Wiccan. Wicca is about love and positivity and equality and creativity and the earth, it's not about you impressing people with how different you are.

Q: How have you organized your book of spells?
A: My book of spells has very little organization hahaha. The first few pages I write notes or definitions of certain things kind of like an index. the different properties of certain common crystals and gemstones, herbs, and colors of candles. My spells aren't in a certain sequence, they're just written into the book at the time I am creating them. They start of with an "ingredient" list (all the items; stones, herbs, candles, sign waters, etc that I would need for the spell) at the top. Then if necessary a description on what to do with the certain ingredients (burn herbs, boil water, placement of objects) and then one incantation of the spell. When casting you need to say it seven times but I only write it once. Then "so mote it be" at the bottom. Occasionally I will draw little sketches of my alter or tape some good energy herbs in it.

Q: How have your family and friends reacted to your newfound religious interests?
A: It's not like my family shuns me. I doubt they even really know or think about it. They know I've experimented with witchcraft in the past because of all the witchy things I kept in my room and stuff. But it's not like I go around shouting from the rooftops that I like to cast spells. My sister, a Christian, basically just found it annoying when she found me reading a book on wicca. Rolled her eyes, told me I was stupid and weird and trying too hard. Too bad my spirituality doesn't involve or have a history bigotry or sexism or xenophobia and isn't used to justify literal genocide and mass murder. Yeah I guess it's really weird that I found a religion that teaches tolerance and love and honor for Mother Nature super appealing. Crazy. Most people think Wicca is weird and crazy because they have no idea what it is. But if they bothered to just LOOK IT UP a little they'd realize it's really not that different from any other religion.
