anyways yknow how it’s confirmed in ep14 of season 2 how william and dakota call tide every night but he stopped picking up.

do you think they ever sent texts to ashe’s number even though they knew they’d never get a response. do you think ashe left their phone at home before the events of the season 1 finale, because the entire thing with the trickster seemed inevitable— or at least highly likely to ashe.

do you think mark picked up ashe’s phone when he stopped at home after breaking out of prison. he doesn’t know the passcode to ashe’s phone but he still sees the notifications pop up.

he has to see the way other people are grieving his child even though he blames those people for ashe being gone in the first place. i don’t know there’s just something so gutwrenching about the man who is very intentionally solitary in his grief and who intentionally isolated himself with it having to see the way it affects other people. having to realize he’s not alone in missing ashe. and feeling strangely angry about it.
