Wide eyes and that sort of lost for a half second look before realization then melts into joy— Kiki lives for that when she sees her friends. Sure they chatter on social media and all that but there’s nothing that compares to the thrill of seeing a friend in person. Mai jumps up and down a little in excitement and Kiki laughs before she opens her arms to give her a little side hug for the moment so that she doesn’t interrupt the flow of her cleaning more than she already has.
“I was seeing if your free because I have some art supplies I want to test out with you and some art I want to show ya! I’ve been working on some doodles again and they make think of you honestly so I said why not come on over and see how you’re doing today!” She pats the bag she has with her that holds all her supplies. “I have some down time today and wanted to share it with you. Is there a table that is okay? I could wait out the last bit of your shift and work on my last sketch too!”
She looks around just to be sure that if she stayed it wouldn’t be interfering with the others working either.
Things That Bloom 🌿 Mai

It’s a good day for it.
From the art supplies she has Kiki gathers her sketchbook and pencils and packs them into the tote bag she takes with her. Today she might draw just a little bit if she has some time but her aim is to actually show someone something that she’s already created. Out the door and down the road she walks, stopping at her car only to check her reflection in it for a few seconds. Her hair is up in a giant lazy curly bun, affixed with small golden fastens that hug around thicker braids that intermix with her curls and match themselves back to the golden jewelry that she wears. Around her neck is a pendant of the sun that shines in its light as she makes her way down the road.
Clinging to her is a certain joy that resides mostly in her smile that she offers to those she passes. Today will be the day that she gives her friend Mai from the little shop she likes a small gift. After a pleasant walk Kiki is strolling into the entrance of the business and her eyes search for the familiar face of her newer friend. Spotting her sorting something on a table, Kiki beelines for her.
“Hey!” She greets brightly. “You working long today?”

Kiki makes sure to keep her expression calm and relaxed as she listens to the other woman speak. At any point a guest could be looking over and she doesn’t want them to have any reason that there should be cause for concern. Tonight was shaping up to be busy but good night thus far and she wanted to maintain that ambiance for as long as possible. The troubling part is that in the very real world application outside of the island, she wouldn’t even bat an eye at what this woman was doing. She heaves a sigh as she listens to the last of what she’s saying.
“It’s a way to live for sure,” she agrees and shifts her weight on her feet a little. “And I respect a hustle. Just be discreet and please, don’t do it in here.”
Dakota is mentioned and she gives a nod, the bangles on her arm chiming a little with the movement. “D is Dakota, the head owner of this place. He’s a nice man but he’s on his business and any sort of trouble in his business quickly becomes the business of others that work here. You do look nice. Think you might take him out of here or ditch him?”
They’re reaching a little understanding, or at least it feels like it when she hears the raised voices of two men at the bar. Kiki rolls her eyes and with a quick, ‘One second’ she whirls to see what’s happening. There before the bar are two slightly more drunk guests who are standing and staring each other down.
“What’d you say?” One man asks and steps closer to the other. “You want to repeat that shit?”
“I said you’re full of it!” The other man in the altercation says and doesn’t step back. He rises to the stance and they look to be about to square up right there. This is not happening!! Kiki moves swiftly right as one of them starts to lift an arm to shove a finger at the chest of the other.
“HEY! KNOCK IT OFF!” Her voice sharp and for a few seconds the lights in the building flicker.
Simply harmless , maybe.
The other's concern and perception was admirable. Clearly there was plenty reasons why Kihara had reach a management position at the establishment. "Well that is fair. However I can reassure you that once I'd be done having fun with him, the man's spirits will be kept high and unsuspecting of what's going on." Minry's tone is still calm, her smile is not as wide but still present. After all, this was nothing but two people negotiating terms that would please both parties. Almost like a mini-business meeting and brainstorming. "Also, he really cherishes the place. And despite my intentions around him not being the kindest, I have no intention ruining this place of comfort for him."
Minry's words did not come from true concern or care for the target. It was simply illogical to aim to bring the man any unpleasant experiences as one would never know when the time to have fun around this particular man could arise again. "Don't get me wrong. He is sweet but I care mostly about my chances to see him again if necessary. Might not be the most honest way to live but, it provides good times and food sometimes." She winked, now noticing the man waving at her direction, Minry smiled to him and gestured to request some patience from the man.
"I'm not too sure who 'D' is, but clearly they are someone I wouldn't want to anger. I like this place, beyond my livelihood choices. And do not worry, food and drinks and no other business tonight." Minry took a palm to her chest, nodding to show her words were meaningful. "My interest was drifting away anyway… I look lovely tonight, if I must say." Minry playfully raises her brows, her smile shifting to a grin momentarily. At the same time the two were exchanging words, two men were starting to raise their voices at each other, slowly making other guests to glance over.

The Brightside || W.C 002 Self Para
{{ READ ONLY AFTER READING PASSING NOTES!! This is the second monthly writing challenge prompt we were given on self care. I lost someone dear to me and learned that sometimes self care is realizing you don’t always get to say goodbye at the right time, and healing from that. }}
TW; Grief and healing
🌿
She leans back, the cool of the grass tickling her skin and the light of the spring sunshine warmly her front. All around her the souls of many rest here, their worries dropped at the entryway and off their shoulders as the safety of the space cradles them. Flowers with the delicate whispers of well wishes from others who visit often enough to leave them bring a beauty to the calm where Kiki talks to her sister. Quiet but always there, her sister doesn’t mind the rambling conversations or the questions that Kiki brings when they meet here.
“You know,” she says as she closes her eyes and smiles. “I think you’d like where I live now. The people in town are a little weird but I vibe with that. They all seem so interesting.”
Silence. It’s not a dismissive thing at all because Kihara can almost feel the way her sister wants to reach out and hug her. “They’re like me there! I even met someone related to me- like actually! He’s a bit rough around the edges but …I think I even like that about him. He’s not sugar coated like so many people are. I think you’d like how distinctly honest he is in his meanness. He almost caused a scene at work.”
More silence. The warmth of the sun makes up for it between them and Kihara falls into that quiet too, happy in this peace that they have. For a long time they rest there together, the tranquility of this meeting place only flirted with by the softness of Kiki’s heartbeat. If she tries hard enough, she can imagine hers isn’t the only heartbeat here.
“I miss you,” she admits and opens her eyes.
Above her the sky is a clear blue and the sunlight comes down between forgiving and kind leaves to paint shadows over her brown skin. If she tries hard enough she can pretend that the blades of grass between her fingers are the ghosts of her sister’s touch and that the stones with the names of the souls that rest here are just reserved signs for people waiting to join some peaceful gathering.
If she tries hard enough, she can imagine that her heartbeat isn’t the only one here in the peaceful haven of the cemetery where she talks to her sister.
Kihara sits back up, her back to the stone with her sister’s name on it and breathes out. Everyone here dropped their worries at the entryway. Everyone but her who leaves them by the stones and the flowers that she leaves with whispers because she visits often enough. “I miss you so much.”
And in that quiet safety, where her sister doesn’t mind the rambling conversations or the questions she brings, Kiki lets herself heal from things she’ll never get to say. Like goodbye.

Passing Notes || W.C01 Self Para
{{ This is for the first writing challenge we had in March. Sadly, due to work and a long bout of exhaustion following working too much, I had to put it aside. But things are getting better! This is loooooooong af but I like it. So here it is, writing challenge number 1; Core Memories. }}
🌿
…One summer in America…
Her fingers brush the keys lightly. It had to be a dream!
There in the living room was the most beautiful thing she’s ever laid her eyes on. By the window with the early evening sunset casting dancing shadows of leaves from the outside across its dark brown surface is the piano from the shop. For the better part of a year she had been admiring that piano as she passed the music shop each day after school with her sister. It was an old and seemingly forgotten thing that decorated the window but it had a proudness about it that pulled Kihara to it. Five days a week, rain or shine, she walked by that piano and two days a week, she got to practice the things she learned in her school’s music class on it.
A year almost of quiet admiration had not gone unnoticed. Her mother, an observant but clever woman, had watched many a night go by where her daughter played on the surfaces of tables or on the tops of her own thighs some melody that only she could hear. She had seen the scribbling of music on the edges of assignments, shopping lists, bits of paper towels and even once in lipstick on the bathroom mirror! Her sister had gossiped to their mother that the library had less books on its vast aisles of shelves than her sister had songs buzzing around in her mind at any given moment. It wasn’t until Kiki’s close friend, Dakota, had remarked once as he waited for her to come back from some outing that if she didn’t get a keyboard or something of her own soon he would have to charge her for always using his.
He had, of course, been kidding, but that sparked the determination in Kiki’s mother well enough. So the shifts at work got longer and family time got just a little bit shorter. It became just a little bit harder for Kihara’s sister to make time for things as she took up more babysitting offers and even Dakota was suddenly much busier than usual citing that he was ‘busy with family stuff’.
A couple days turned into a couple weeks. A couple weeks turned into a month and a half of this newfound open time. And it wasn’t that it was bad…but to Kihara who was mostly accustomed to someone always being around or needing her, the absence of her usual crew was sharply felt.
When it verged on two months and eight days that she had last seen anyone for longer than a brief minute of hellos and goodbyes for the day, she had decided that she would say something. It would be today. It had to be today! And so just as usual- this new usual - she rose to both her mother and sister already gone and her phone quiet of texts and started the day. She’d tell them when they came home for dinner.
“Goodbye house,” she says as she locks the door and makes her way down the street. She doesn’t stop as she rounds the corner nor when she passes Dakota’s house. There’s no one there anyway. She keeps going straight on toward school, passing the music shop. Deep in her thoughts, Kihara doesn’t notice the widow has changed. There’s something missing today in that glass that her tired face walks right by. Absorbed in the mystery of the sudden loneliness of her young life, she doesn’t see that her sister isn’t in first period and Dakota isn’t in fourth. Nose to the grindstone, she goes through her day lost in the tanglement of worries that somehow she’s offended the people in her life enough that they forgot her being there.
It’s not until later in the day when she’s walking home that things slowly begin to become clear. Her phone buzzes with a call and she flips it open to answer, not caring to try and see if the little screen will or won’t display a name this time. “Yeah?”
“Jeez, you must not miss me at all if that’s how you answer my call, huh?” A familiar voice sounds off on the other end of the line. Dakota. DAKOTA! Kiki pauses in her walking, her feet mere steps away from that glass window that holds her favorite escape. There’s a pause from her side and then a worbbled reply from her. “Oh… hey..”
  “You crying?” Dakota asks.
“No! I just… I thought you forgot about me.”
“A little hard to forget you loser. Stop crying, for real. You almost home?”
Kihara sniffles a little but clears her throat. It’s not like she missed anyone- they didn’t go anywhere, they were just busy or whatever! “Yeah I was just heading th—“
Her eyes drift mid-sentence to the window and her heart plummets to her feet. The piano that was once there is gone. The spot is occupied sits open, the carpet darker where it had protected it from the sun and paler where it’s protections stopped. Dakota’s voice is like a distance sound as he asks if she’s good. Then again as he asks if she’s there once, twice, a few more times. It’s a simple thing, the piano not being there. But to her it was like the dissolution of her young hopes. This coupled with her already rough two months was just a little too much and a noise she doesn’t mean to make leaves her.
“Kiks, come home okay?” Her ears catch his voice again. Her face feels wet and as she wipes at it and clears her throat again she listens this time. “Your mom needs you to check something and she called me because you didn’t pick up her call.” She had missed a call?
“I’ll be there in a bit.” And that’s all she says before she hangs up and makes the rest of the walk home with her eyes stinging and a deeper heaviness she doesn’t really understand. It doesn’t take long before she’s home again and as she walks toward the door, a small comfort is that from the front window is Dakota’s face peering out at her. When they meet eyes he smirks before disappearing from the front window with his light eyes and all too happy smirk that feels almost insulting to her grief. What is there to smile about?
Stepping inside the house she kicks off her shoes and sets down her bag as she walks through the front of the house and turns to the living room. “Why are you her—“
The question dies on her tongue as she takes in the sigh of her mother, her sister and Dakota standing in the living room just next to something that quickens her heartbeat again. There, in the early evening sunset light from the window, is the piano from the shop. It sits proudly in her living room as the shadows of leaves from outside dance across its dark brown surface. A giant red bow sits atop the piano and as she looks to the people she calls family things make a little more sense. The long hours at her mother’s job, her sister taking more babysitting gigs, and Dakota being ‘busy’.
“Well, don’t just stare at it.” Her mother laughs and moves to guide Kiki to the bench before it. “Play me one of those beautiful songs you make.”
And this time, as her fingers brush the keys, Kihara does cry. Because she may have felt lonely, but she was never really alone. The people in the room had loved her enough to give more of themselves to give her a little more of herself.
Her fingers press the keys and as the living room actually becomes alive with sound, she knows, she’ll never forget this.

   Swing. Breathe. Swing. Breathe. Dodge.
Kihara matches the speed and footing of her opponent with the greatest of care, eyes locked on theirs as she prepares for the next combination of moves.
Step. Breathe. Step again and sway.
This is more difficult that she realized! Were this a match of strength or even maybe of endurance in running or swimming or boxing she might have a fair chance. But on the battlefield of proper ballroom dancing…Kihara, in her own misguided opinion, lacked. And so she finds herself in the dance studio of the city with her hands poised on the shoulders of some kind but altogether annoying personage that aims to teach her to conquer the skill set. She can dance- if the dancing if for fun and with friends or in the club, but for the eloquence of balls and galas..
Well, let’s just say she wants the refinement for the purpose of impressing (or maybe for not embarrassing) any lady she might ask to dance with her. Thoughts racing as they are, she misses step with her current partner on the dance floor and steps on their foot. There is a short intake of breath through both of their noses and Kihara immediately drops her arms from where they are and steps out of the responding hold at her waist.
“Okay-“ she interjects before the instructor can. “I just need a second, please. We’ve been at it for three hours and I just need - yeah. Thank you.”
She backs away a bit more and before there is much more fuss, steps toward her duffel bag and retrieves her phone before stepping out into the hallway to take a breather. As the door shuts there’s a buzz from the little device and she lets out a sigh at first, thinking maybe it’s that she’s being told to come back in and try again. To her joy and surprise it is not a text but another message on her sns. Her eyes go to the door of the dance room before she bites her lip and then replies to the text.
[Direct Message to: Ezra (They/Them)]
Hey! You have no idea how happy I am to hear from you right now! I have some time today if you’re free in about an hour. I have 20 more minutes of this lesson thing I’m in and then I can make my way over to the gym. Want to meet me there?
Rain Check
with @mpxkiki
Writing didn't cut it anymore; Ezra figured this out months ago. Yet they still grabbed a notebook and a pen whenever their mind was overflowing. Because that was all the demigod knew.
But it wasn't just their head that was full. Their heart, cracking and leaking from all sides, was also at capacity.
Some things couldn't be translated into words. Metaphors could only go so far.
Ezra put down their pen after writing about yet another nightmare they had. A reoccurring one. There were only so many words to describe the horrors within it. The Egyptian poet had turned to Arabic for this brain dump, hoping a change of language would do the trick.
Their mind was now free of the dream's shackles, but their heart was still heavy, and Ezra was in desperate need of something to take the edge off. They didn't drink alcohol, afraid what the substance might do to them, and the fumes of cigarettes made them too nauseous to even attempt to pick one up themselves.
Ezra picked up their phone and scrolled a bit on social media. Coming across a post from a familiar face, the younger remembered a rain check they still needed to cash in. Maybe some exercise could do them some good. So they tapped on Kiki's page, and messaged her directly.
Hey! I don't know if you remember, but we talked about boxing together some time ago. Are you up for it today? Or sometime this week? No pressure 😅

🌿
That beautiful woman pulls herself away from the guest soon after their interaction and meets Kihara near the end of the bar just near the hall for the restrooms. To say that she was surprised by what the other said to her would be a dramatic understatement. She had expected some excuse, perhaps even some logical explanation for the way that the woman was obviously milking him for all he was worth in plain sight. Boldly she is told that it’s exactly what she picked up on.
“Girl!” She starts but is cut off by the rest of the things said.
She’s not one to knock a hustle- some of her closest friends run their own in private establishments for it. And even more of the people she sees in the city run their own with the thin veil of delusion that they weren’t selling themselves to get what they want. Still, this particular spot has its rules about that!
The worry that there will be bad blood if she quits the act too soon is of no real worry to Kiki. “That man has been through hell in this place before and still comes back for more. I’m not worried about losing him as a customer- even if he didn’t come back there’s a dozen men like him that will come around. I’m worried that he’ll feel like he can’t come around without being expected to pay not only his plate but yours and anyone else that might sling a good game on him. People are supposed to feel safe here, not like a human ATM.”
She sighs a little and pinches the bridge of her nose and it’s obvious that she’s close with the other owner of Honeypot Dakota. “Look, yes, keep it to food and drinks but cut him loose after this meal okay? D will have both our heads if he finds out your pocket draining his favorite old man.”
Simply harmless , maybe.
The other's sudden presence caught Minry off guard as neither of them was expecting any additional food or drinks. Nonetheless, Minry politely smiles and nods at the manager who caught her attention earlier and took that moment as a little treat to be in the presence of such an alluring person. That is without making any moves, after all she had already chosen her target for the night. "Buenas noches. Thank you." She replied, using her nearly non-existent Spanish knowledge to at least greet Kiki properly.
Seeing Kiki leaning over and listening to the words whispered, Minry kept her charming smile and scanned the man for any signs of noticing the secretive exchange. Man had no clue, still enthralled between Minry's beauty and godly abilities. A complete idiot, in her eyes but a useful one at that time.
Returning her focus to Kiki, Minry responded with a firm gaze accompanied by a smirk and letting the other lean away before she'd excuse herself. "Hey dear, give me a moment yes, I'll be right back." The man tried to make her stay, afflicted to be away from the one he thinks he can't live without. Minry soothes him, reassuring him that she'll return but needs a couple of minutes to re-touch her makeup. Of course with the idea that Minry simply wanted to be even more beautiful for him, the man would now show no opposition while seeing Minry stepping away.
So she did and with the intent to approach Kiki. "Hi again. So, whatever you think I'm doing, I am doing it. But as you can see, he is not in danger in any way, I'm just bringing a good time for him… and me." Minry's voice is calm, almost giddy and anyone could think she was a fool to admit her intention to bluntly but the demigoddess believed in honesty, when it would be convenient for herself of course. "I understand your concern over a loyal customer and tell you what." Minry shifts her position to have Kiki stand between her and the sight of the man in the distance. "I'll keep the act limited to food and drinks. I don't really know you, but you seem someone interesting and hard-working and I respect that. But if I cut it out right now, it'll leave a sour taste in his pride, and he may avoid returning here with the sour memory in his head. And I don't think that's beneficial for anyone in this situation. Don't you think?"

Mommy Issues 🌿 Raven
Because too often do I see this irl to not grab it! Continued from here with @mpxraven
🌿
Kihara’s eyes couldn’t possibly roll any harder than they already had tonight but they were making a solid attempt as she watches the man in question be escorted out after being dragged by the woman seated in front of her now. To be fair, he absolutely deserved it and the amusement Kiki got from watching the color and confidence drain from his face will stick with her for days! That man had been the epitome of every Tom, Dick and Chad she could think of with worse hygiene that a frat house on a Friday.
The quip the other woman makes brings a smile back to Kiki’s face as she laughs and grabs a towel to wipe up the bar top. “I nearly lost my ‘sunny disposition’ with that one so you might have dealt with a whole different me if you had come a few seconds later than you did!”
The second part of what this new patron says hits and Kiki bites back a laugh to not avail. It escapes in a loud noise before she turns around, shoulders shaking, to hide the sound of her laughing. She calms quickly enough and turns back around before she’s pulling up a glass from under the bar and setting it down. She answers as she reaches for a bottle of bourbon. “I didn’t smell his B.O so much as it crawled up into my nose and bed rotted there.”
A drink is suggested -requested?- and Kiki couldn’t agree more than she deserves it.
“We both do,” comes her answer. She pours a healthy shot down into the glass but doesn’t offer it to the other woman. Instead she asks, “I know you’re allowed in because we ID at the door. So what are you having?”
The first shot is for her.

  It’s a stain.
That inky darkness that lives in the soul when it wants destruction and chaos. Kihara knows it well- for it blots itself close to her soul and at every opportunity that it would reach out and crush everything around her, she turns it into something else. It resides in her as it resides in this strange person that keeps his cocky demeanor even after the act is done.
   Again, she says, “I. Mind.”
And to further clarify what bothers her, Kiki doesn’t move away even with his lean forward and answers. “I don’t care what you do with the likes of that kind of trash- as long as it’s outside of here. Here, we allow the trained security personnel to handle unsavories. In here, we don’t cause the other guests to wonder if we’ll allow vicious attacks to their person without dealing out appropriate consequences.”
A signal has already been sent to the owner who will shortly emerge to make the final call but for the moment, Kiki must handle it. A pause passes and her other question is answered.
   ‘Apep.’
The air bristles immediately between them and Kiki visibly stiffens at the mention of her godly parent. Ah, so that explains everything. Her eyes do not leave him, taking in all the differences between them and every similarity that she can more feel than see.
The universe was a cruel mistress to deal them this hand and make them meet in this way. She has to kick him out for the evening but he…
  ‘Who’s creation are you?’
The question burns like too tart lemonade and in equal regret of flavor Kihara replies to it, “As fate would have it, Apep.”

    Life is beautiful.
Kiki had always felt it thus but today was an exceptionally good marker of that. Upon waking she had received a call from an old friend back home, her coffee had been made perfectly and the new dance studio in town she had visited had been even cooler than she expected. Now on her early afternoon walk, Kiki had summed up that her day was likely to be a good one.
And, as luck would always have it, something needs to stir the pot.
When she’s rounding the corner to really set into her stride for the park is when she nearly walks directly into the form of someone reaching for something under foot. It’s just a little too late- a hair too soon- to stop herself for her forward motion before she’s colliding with someone. “Oh my god!”
    ‘— I’m so sorry! I’m so sorry!’
She wobbles as she attempts to back up, doesn’t correct it in time and half-trips on air to avoid landing on the person. The result is her landing on her backside slightly off kilter of the sidewalk! There’s a little second of obvious disorientation before she blinks and then laughs. It doesn’t sound like the laughter of someone trying to hold back upset, but the laughter of someone who genuinely was surprised and finds the situation at least a little funny.
“Are you okay?” She asks still laughing a bit. Her eyes scan the ground a little and just beside her a bit is a beautiful green colored pencil- or… what was one. It lays snapped under the pressure of what she assumes was likely her stepping on it. Kiki’s laughter immediately dies off and she leans forward to pick it up.
“Is this yours?” She looks to the person she bumped into. “I apologize- I think I broke it.”

❛ ENEMIES MAKE THE BEST LOVERS, YOU KNOW. ❜

🌿
She startles as she rounds the corner and hears the declaration. Her book flies to her chest, the pages crushed as she recalibrates and tries to sort out if the other woman was in fact talking with her or if she was talking with some on a headset she didn’t see. Taking a deep breath in then exhaling Kiki lowers the book. Misery passes her features as she sees the damage to the pages.
“Was the aim to become my enemy by startling me?” She asks with a small laugh. “Because that won’t work really.”
Carefully, she tries to correct one page as she looks to Minry, “You okay?”

Kihara stops and looks at the speaker. Ah, Maxim. She knows about him via a few of her close friends and through several amusing stories. She had heard a few unsavory ones as well but she hadn’t had too much time on her own to decipher if it was something she wanted to believe.
“Course we can!” She says smiling at him before she jots something down on the notepad she has in her hands. “I will confess to you that I work an awful lot so I will do my best to make more hours for you. I don’t mind it!”
She’s tucking that same notepad into the pocket of her black apron as she asks, “What prompted the question though?”

(  various  dialogue  prompts  to  send  to  your  worst  enemy  (affectionate).  feel  free  to  change  how  you  seem  fit.  )
❛ oh great, it's you again. ❜
❛ you? kill me? that's funny. ❜
❛ for being someone you hate, i'm sure on your mind a lot. ❜
❛ you're the last person i wanted to see, actually. ❜
❛ do us both a favor. stay away from me. ❜
❛ you really are an asshole, you know that? ❜
❛ i'm the asshole? what does that make you then? ❜
❛ sometimes i think you must hate me. ❜
❛ i thought you said you never wanted to see me again. ❜
❛ if you want me to go, then you have to tell me to leave. ❜
❛ well, someone's cranky today. ❜
❛ well, someone needs to shut the fuck up. ❜
❛ just stay out of my way. ❜
❛ of all the idiots in the world, i'm stuck with you. ❜
❛ what is it you want this time? ❜
❛ sometimes i wonder if you're in love with me. ❜
❛ do you honestly think this is easy for me? ❜
❛ why would i ever want to be friends with you? ❜
❛ can we please just talk? ❜
❛ there is nothing for us to talk about. ❜
❛ you can yell at me later. just let me help you. ❜
❛ touch me, and you're dead. ❜
❛ oh, so now you care? ❜
❛ there is something deeply wrong with you. ❜
❛ i know i'm the last person you probably want to see, but... ❜
❛ you don't think we could be friends, do you? ❜
❛ i'm tired of fighting against you. ❜
❛ don't pretend you give a shit about me. ❜
❛ you're an idiot, but... i trust you. ❜
❛ oh, don't be cute. ❜
❛ wait, did you just say that i'm cute? ❜
❛ we're not good for each other. ❜
❛ if i say yes, will you shut up? ❜
❛ don't you have to be stupid somewhere else? ❜
❛ maybe we should kiss just to break the tension. ❜
❛ i'm sorry i can't turn off my feelings as easily as you. ❜
❛ maybe there's a universe out there where we're friends. ❜
❛ how can you be so smart yet so dumb at the same time? ❜
❛ don't think this changes anything between us. ❜
❛ you look ridiculous in that outfit, by the way. ❜
❛ if you die, i'll kill you. ❜
❛ is that a challenge? ❜
❛ ah, so you're not heartless after all. ❜
❛ i don't think i've ever seen you smile. ❜
❛ you never cared about me, so why now? ❜
❛ why didn't you kill me when you had the chance? ❜
❛ i don't even remember why we started fighting. ❜
❛ i don't have time for distractions right now. ❜
❛ you're not as bad as everyone says you are. ❜
❛ enemies make the best lovers, you know. ❜

{{ awwww! He liked her little bracelet! This is so cute because it shows someone remembering the little things can sometimes mean the most! }}
🌿
“Oh hey! How are yo—“ Kiki is starting to say a little greeting when her friend reaches right out and takes her wrist in his hands. Big and warm and so gentle his hands slide the woven bracelet onto her arm. Its bright colors stand out against the beautiful tan of her skin and for a second she says nothing at all. She merely looks at the little band around her arm for a quiet and still few seconds before her eyes drift up to look at Areum.
When they meet his there’s a little well of tears that threaten to fall from hers despite the smile she wears. Today had been a hard day for her and though she would never complain, never let the world around her dim because of it, the sting of it had been on her soul. The little gift that rests now on her arm was a reminder that though her old life was slipping into a memory to some, her new one was something that someone recalled the little things in.
“You remembered..” Me. You remembered me.
-End.-
[Mun Note: This will get touched on later but Kiki’s mother is suffering from memory loss. Her and her mother have a solid relationship but her ailment is slowly taking their precious memories away. ]
The woman who IS everything
That friendship bracelet that Kiki made for Areum was wrapped around his wrist every day. From that day he had tried to learn on youtube, plenty of times he was taping the string to Bes’ leg so he could practice, and eventually?? He finally mastered it. With Yellow and light blue he weaved an intricate little friendship bracelet, one with a ripple like pattern that he connected with a little heart bead so it can be adjustable. She was a great friend to him and the world would be a lot less bright if she wasn’t around him. So he makes it a point to bump into her so he can pop it right on her wrist just as she had done for him.

{{ the title bro, I’m wheezing! Thank you for getting her a little something! Due to the way this is written it indicates a thread— I’ll set to work on that after I make it through my other asks! Thank you!}}
For My Best Bitch (Non Derogatory, I'm gay)
If twinkle toes were real, Kaz had them as he was on his way to annoy the fuck out of Kiki for a few minutes, black wrapped box in tow. Inside was a handmade arm chain, a yellow gold cuban that should wrap snug above her elbow, trailing down in a way that looks like simple vines, little metal crafted butterflies and flowers dipped in gold sprout out from the vines. It isn’t busy, it’s simple in it’s own way that it demands attention without having to be bold. The goth had loved how it turned out, and figured it would match quite a lot of the shit she already wears.  Other than that, he was just genuinely excited to see her. So when that knock came at her door it came reaaaaallllllllllll annoyingly. Can you blame him though? It’s Kiki!
