Frida Kahlo often created self portraits and added many symbols to invite the viewer to experience her struggles with ill health and women’s rights. She unapologetic about her ‘unibrow,’ and kept it in her paintings as a symbol of a bird in flight and freedom. #asm3 #DSB_01
