I don't know if any of y'all follow lostwave/lost media like I do but recently this past week it was discovered finally that "Everyone Knows That"/"Ulterior Motives" was find from an 80s adult film

And while there's of course, light hearted jokes about how it was found/and how the user who initially posted about it found it, but it sincerely does bother me how many people, esp young folks, are disgusted and no longer want anything to do with the song solely because of it's origins... which is a shame; because it's spot lighting the original artists who made it and are currently remastering the song. Just because.

To me it doesn't matter the source of the song. What matters is it was found and not lost to time as so many other songs often are. We underestimate how easy it is and has historically been to lose songs of any and all kind regardless of origin. We should feel lucky and embrace these songs so we don't lose them again.
