The kid took a breath, trying their best to sound coherent, “Amaya was being followed by a perv outside of that club near the hokage tower, I dealt with it.” Of course Jun knew that the girl was capable of ‘handling’ the weirdo by herself, but that didn’t mean she should. The guy was clearly drunk and asking for a fight. Thankfully he didn’t have his head band on, not looking forward to a report being filed on him, but dammit they had a right to!

The younger one winced at the disinfectant but put on a brave face, “I know I shouldn’t have hit him, but you gotta believe that he deserved it, please Kagami.”

“Just don’t tell anyone.”

Kagami froze in the doorway, whatever he had in his hands fell onto the floor in an array of papers. There was nothing important anymore when it looked as if Jun had been horribly wounded and so he was by their side in a pinch. "What happened? Jun, where are you hurt?", fussy like the everlasting mother-hen that he is- but if anything.. Loosing Jun was one of the few things he was actually afraid of.

The chunin let the other look over him, pretty sure he got his wounds cleaned up well. Junpei wasn’t planning on a fight, hell, he wasn’t even planning on leaving the house. Yet when a friend told him to hurry down to one of the most shitty clubs in town because Amaya was in trouble…well they just HAD to.

“Kagami I’m ok, well, more ok than that creep is,” still the kid lifted up their shirt to show the wound. Nothing more than a deep flesh would, tho the shakey stitches were already starting to loosen, “It hurts but I can do a better job once I get the blood off…fuck there’s so much of it.”

Akane wasn’t the type to argue with her sensei outside of minor decisions, but something seemed to take hold of her, not even bothered that technically Kakashi was going easy on her. After all she did disobey a direct order.

“Wait she stopped lecturing Anko, why? Outside of her general way of…being her.”

Akane huffed as she was being carried, her leg slightly more swollen than in already was. The girl knew she probably should’ve stayed home like she was told—she came home from a mission with a sprained knee—but dammit it’s boring. The chunin wasn’t made to sit in a bed all day, “You know I would’ve had that spar, you didn’t have to yank me out like that.”

“I know you would have had that spar,” Kakashi answered without bothering to look at her. “And that’s exactly why i yanked you out. You would have injured yourself more, earned a bigger time out from missions, and then i would get a lecture from Tsunade because she stopped lecturing Anko a year ago about your misdoings.”

Her eyes got a little big at the mention of murdering her sensei, “I…did he deserve it?” The girl isn’t judging, from what she knows Kaiyo has been nice to her and her friends, so Maya is pretty confident she wasn’t on her chopping block.

“Well, I guess she is still cool…not that you aren’t cool as well sir.”

Amaya slid her way, “You used to work with Kaiyo-San right,” the girl looked up at Ao, “was she always this cool or is Kirimaru making that up?”

"Kaiyō-chan?" Ao smiles at the question. "She was one of my ANBU for several years, yes." He ponders a possible answer for a moment, before the memories of their very first meeting surfaces, so long ago.

"Well, the reason she ended up in my service to begin with was because she very nearly murdered her jōnin sensei at the age of... what was it again... right, thirteen years old."

The sting snapped Jun from the daydreams running in his mind. The boys were sitting in a training field after a spar match, the boy didn’t match up perfectly with the counter part but the gap was closing, and the chunin was determined to close it fast.

They just make me happy

Shino often finds inspiration for cool new bugs because of Jun. it’s mostly because of how much Jun likes to talk about the things they have seen, and how they always seem to have an endless imagination.

Once in a while, though, Shino gets an idea for a bug because of how jun reacts to things he see’s or just because he looked at Jun at a particular moment.

The monarch butterfly comes from when he first saw Jun in full Monarch outfit (a rare sight) and just how stunning Jun looked.

The ladybug/ladybird comes from how Jun smiled so bright when the y saw a little black speck on a rose (it was a tiny ant, but they thought it looked like a cool special detail on that particular rose)

The black widow spider was a creation Shino came up with after seeing Jun’s anger at his kingdom and the people in it being threatened, and how Jun spewed such venom at his opponent that they literally melted away in front of them.

Jun loves all of these little creations and makes sure to help Shino pick the perfect spots in the world for them to go, and really loves to make a home for those bugs that most. Kortals consider ‘hideous�� or ‘dangerous’

“Who said that I didn’t try to dodge, the kid looked ten!” Sad really, after the fight the opponents had to be taken into custody, no child should have to be put through whatever it was to be a mercenary at that age.

She hobbled over to the kitchen, “Do you want some tea?”

“So uh…could we maybe not tell my mom about this?” Akane just walked through the door, her entire left calf wrapped in a gauze. The girl just got back from a two week mission—a success obviously—but underestimated a fire jutsu’s distance. Luckily it was just her leg.

Examining the gremlin who had just stepped into his apartment, Kakashi sighed. “I see we haven’t worked on your ability to dodge enough. We’ll have to fix that.”
