IN SEARCH OF A PENPAL!! (fulfilled!)
Hi! I’m Clio :) I use she/her pronouns and am part of the queer community
I’m 19 and from Arizona, USA
I love to read and write all sorts of things. I have a kitten named Little One that I found in the hood of a car. I love music/concerts and go to local music shows with my friends all the time! Im not big on TV or movies, but would like to get more into films if you have any recs? I’m interested in English, history and art. I’m also hoping to join a dance and pottery class in the fall at my local college!
Other hobbies include: knitting, taking care of my plants, collaging, cooking, religion, nature and yoga.
I’m open to hearing from all types of people, regardless of background/sexuality/gender/whatever! I believe that getting to know people who have had different experiences than you is one of life’s greatest gifts :)
don’t worry about cute stationary or making your letters “aesthetic” I’m more into the conversation, the decorations are just a plus!
please message if you’re interested

Group of girls skating in the street in front of a public housing project on Smythe Curve in Montgomery, Alabama, during Christmas vacation, January 1966.
Each day of the Christmas holiday, the city of Montgomery closed over forty one-block areas in neighborhoods, so children could safely play in the streets.

“I was a baby butch who had never heard the word and so didn’t know what to call myself until I first heard that word out loud in 1992 in the back stacks of Little Sister’s bookstore. I wore second-hand army boots three sizes too big and cut my own hair with clippers and met what I didn’t know at the time was my first femme lover and bought my first necktie and she called me handsome and that one word handsome made up for two decades of knowing I was never really all that pretty.”

“Why does the third of the three brothers, who shares his food with the old woman in the wood, go on to become king of the country? Why does James Bond manage to disarm the nuclear bomb a few seconds before it goes off rather than, as it were, a few seconds afterwards? Because a universe where that did not happen would be a dark and hostile place. Let there be goblin hordes, let there be terrible environmental threats, let there be giant mutated slugs if you really must, but let there also be hope. It may be a grim, thin hope, an Arthurian sword at sunset, but let us know that we do not live in vain.”
— Terry Pratchett, “Let There Be Dragons” (A Slip of the Keyboard)

there’s this abandoned house on the road from peterhead into aberdeen that always has graffiti on it and it’s normally like “happy 23rd birthday chris” or whatever but one time someone whited everything out on the side and just wrote “wheres the sun?” - incredibly cursed aberdeenshire
