On Hoping For the More That Will Come One Day

Long Title. Right? Here goes...

One day, I'll be a wife to a husband. He'll love that I love to eat chocolate chip cookies for breakfast...he'll eat them right along with me. I'll make his heart smile and I'll make his meals. We'll be parents to children and they'll fill up our home and heads with noise galore. The kind of noise that you might trade but would never give up. Sowing in hope for what is not seen today but knowing that Heaven hears the longing and our hopes and desires are fulfilled in Him. Lord, thank YOU for working out YOUR beautiful plans. My heart belongs to YOU. One day, I hope, it will join with another heart and we'll belong to YOU together.

On Heart

Run Away to the Now

Right when the feeling of wanting to run away from all that's surrounding you is overwhelming, it is most likely the time to stay and stick it out. You're not alone. Never alone. "I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place." Psalm 118:5

The sense isn't of a whirlwind or of a storm, it's more of like a dimly lit tunnel. I can hear echoes of hopes and dreams as they reverberate off the walls. I can't see very well as I walk down the path. I can hear what I think may be and what may not be. The truth is what I hold onto as I walk the path that is only known by heaven. SO. Hard. My spirit knows that with YOU all things are possible...I believe You. Jesus, walking with YOU is right where I belong. The now has been planned for me. The soon to be will come in heaven's timing. Please help me wait. Thank YOU for calling me YOUR own.

On stars

At night when the heavens are clearly the color of midnight, I love to go out and look up at the stars. To not only see them but feel them shine is like a peaceful word spoken to my soul. I cup my hands around my face to make it seem like I'm only seeing night and stars. Lord, YOU give me peace as I look up to the sky to gaze at YOUR heavens. When I see YOUR stars and remember how YOU know each one by name, my soul sings. Lord, I belong to YOU! YOU know my name and it's forever for YOU and me. Forever is an eternity. :)

On light.

Light is the way we see what's in front of us, in back and all around. Light is also how I see inside of me. My heart has this beautiful glow. The One who is love and light has staked a claim on my whole heart...forever. Jesus is my light and my salvation and my heart is overjoyed.
