The school yard in Port Sudan has transformed into a combat training site for women and girls, where they learn drills and how to operate AK47 machine guns. Gathering daily, they prepare for the ongoing conflict against the Rapid Support Forces, turning a once vibrant place of education into a symbol of resilience.

cried a good cry on the 405 on my way to work in the am today like between 7:50-8:20am . I put this track I’d forgotten about on and it’s so crazy how even when you’ve moved on certain feelings still hold ( onto ) their specific shape.

the cry felt really in the moment and like a light visit from my past lol.

I don’t know, I have no complaints or questions about romantic love right now. just kinda like ‘ oh I’m here and this is how it is right now huh, cold water tastes so sweet to me’.

anyway making time to re-visit my goals and getting back to journaling

hello! are there any articles / essays written on what it’s like for an artist / creative to take a break from their practice? If so, I’d love to read up on them

I’m taking a break from my clay practice and some days I feel weird and confused about it.I went a straight 4 years of exhibiting solo exhibitions to now taking a sudden break. I don’t have the appetite to make anything yet, but It’s a really uncomfortable in-between going from constantly making and exploring my emotions and self to not doing that through clay anymore .

& this is one of my last pieces that I made for an exhibition in Kyoto that I truly deeply adore and love

new favorite book each day. as for the kids they love the same three books on rotation. maybe I’ll switch it up tomorrow.

turned off my playlist at a red light just as I was driving uphill. overseeing the 405 in-between South Bay and Long Beach. I felt so beautiful - driving in silence. sun a bright white color - shadows in my car an orange, because of my tinted windows.

first time I’ve felt so beautiful in the way the sounds of my tires rolling replaced the bass . only for what felt like 30 seconds. <3
