@skyloftian-nutcase 's Imprisoning War trio! :) I had a lot of fun drawing this and revisiting some techniques I used a lot in the past with a new perspective. And looking at Gerudo design. Eheh.
Do you have any unique or niche head-cannon about the LoZ characters? Maybe not even ones you keep all the time but that you think about a lot, like your Ghirahim and Fi as real people piece? I love your style, and would love to see any/all your rambles about the characters.
First off, thank you!!! 💜 Tbh my head cannons change a lot and even though I have a lot of them, I’m totally blanking on every one I’ve ever had. I’m awful at answering asks lol.
If you’re asking specifically about Fi and Ghirahim, I do obviously headcannon them as siblings. I’ve gone back and forth on whether they’re twins or not but I think my current headcannon is that Ghirahim is Fi’s older brother. (He just looks a little older to me). I don’t have a ton of specific ideas about their relationship if I’m honest. I do think they’d roast each other constantly. I guess to me, they’re a weird mesh of two people who have a lot in common but have drastically different personalities that affect how they navigate their lives. Idk it’s a fun dynamic that I should honestly put more thought into.
For the piece you asked about, I just wanted to give them both a more human look. Ghirahim’s first form is pretty close but I figure it was still altered by his existence as a sword spirit. Idk I just feel like they both have a fully human form that maybe they just can’t access anymore for some reason or another. But for that drawing specifically, I just wanted to come up with more human designs and give them ✨pretty jewelry✨
Also sorry for taking a while to respond to this, I don’t get asks a lot so when I do I tend to overthink them lol. But seriously, thank you!
Things Nintendo Should Do While They're Figuring Out the Next Big Zelda Console Release
Remake the Oracle games. Give them the Link's Awakening treatment, with the same cuddly art style and everything. And finally make Oracle of Secrets while they're at it. Seriously, I know next to nothing about the Oracle games because their presence in the fandom is so limited, and a remake project would give them a shot in the arm.
Legend of Zelda fighting game. Take the SSB engine and the cast of Hyrule Warriors Legends + Age of Calamity + any other characters they feel like including, and let us all go to town. There is literally no reason not to let us absolutely demolish, let's say, Calamity Ganon as, let's say, Romani.
Legend of Zelda turn-based RPG. Why not? TotK was like a dry run for "what if Link didn't have to do this all by himself every time." Lean in! Give him an actual adventuring party! Put ZELDA in it!
"Life in Hyrule" cottagecore sim game. What's it like living in the kingdom when everything isn't going to shit? Pretty cozy, I would think.
Speedrunning Update Part 8 Dawn, before a new page hits me! Part 2
You weren’t so sure last night buddy
(Twilight the night before: I regret this! This will lead to Time becoming a restless spirit! And there is so much to still do with The Resistance!
Twilight now: i’ll fuckin’ do it again)
And half of them agreeing with this dumbass, love them all!
Except Warriors of course, and he is right. Twilight going full solo mission makes it harder for everyone, more so for the captain. Everyone saying Wars is mad at Wild, but consider, Twilight has been stepping on his nerves a lot lately.
Did everyone?
I know there is a game reference here! Sadly I have jet to start their games. If someone knew of what enemies Hyrule and Legend are talking about pls tell me, would love to know.
Another thing, as well as Warriors showing more his role as captain, Legend will show more signs that he is a veteran! Would love to see Wars and Leg’s dynamic develop to one where both work to strategize and place the chain in ways to win a battle.
I already made a Theory about where Dark Link went after he opened a new gate. So going with what Hyrule says about it still finding them, the next gate will lead them to Twilight’s era, maybe even a time before he becomes a hero?
Actually, yes Four is right. No one has been thrown out of a cliff or set on fire till now.
(Game reference to Four Sword Adventure, were mercy is a choice and no one takes it)
The importance lies in widespread damage!
(For Items we have:
Fire Rod’s and Ice Rod’s
Cane of Somaria, Cane of Byrna and Cane of Pacci
Boomerang’s of all types
Clawshots and Hookshots of all types
Twilight and Warriors Ball and Chain
Four and Sky’s Gust Jar
Four’s Remote bombs
For Spells we have:
Hyrule’s fire and thunder spell
Time’s fire spell (Din’s fire) and the song of storms
Wind’s Wind Waker, controlling the Wind
Let me know if I forgot something. It’s clear that they need to work on teamwork or FSA will repeat itself…)
Aristotle calls this ‘Hamartia’ - a tragic flaw or error. It can be anything happening to good or bad characters, even otherwise good character traits and with good intentions that ultimately lead to the character’s demise. They are often traits that don’t neccessarily lead to someone’s downfall, but can if they’re done to an extreme. So think of these otherwise normal ‘flaws’ as extremes.
ignorance - not seeking helpful knowledge
selfishness - not thinking about others
curiosity - getting involved in things they shouldn’t get involved in
impetuousness - being too passionate/ not thinking before acting
pride - not giving in/ not taking help from others
hubris - exaggerated opinion of oneself/ thinking nothing can get to them
lack of self-control - can’t help/stop themself
indecisiveness* - not being able to make decisions
confirmation bias - only taking in information that supports one’s own belief
arrogance - thinking they are superior
Have fun!
- Jana
*Interesting example: Chidi from The Good Place. A morally great character who is so extreme in always trying to make the right choice and therefore not being able to make a decision until it is proven to be right, it basically lands him in hell.
Okay I get that the toxic positivity way I was raised is bad and venting about things is good and healthy but there's a grim sort of hilarity in the complete miscommunciation between how my boyfriend and his family process complaining and how I was raised to do it. Because I was raised with the attitude that if you've got a problem, you either do something about it if you can, or focus on things you can control if it's something you can't change. And the way he was raised, simply complaining about things because they worry you is just what you do to process things, venting to make yourself feel better.
So when he brings up something that bothers him, and I ask him what he thinks we should be doing about that, it's a baffling question to him. To him, verbally stating that Life Is Just Bad Sometimes is a neutral thing and not a prompt to start coming up with how to solve this issue. And my brain just fucking short-circuits right there.
So when he's just stating out loud that things just be like that sometimes, what I'm hearing is "life is intrinsically, ontologically bad in a way that cannot be in any way improved, endured, nor ignored, and there is no hope of it ever being any other way." And like a solution-seeking missile, my singular brain cell jumps into the next passably logical solution and goes
"So are you suggesting we should do double-suicide?"
