“Be a fool. For love. For yourself. What you think might possibly make you happy - even for a little while - whatever the cost or good sense might dictate.”
Anthony Bourdain.

There is a world where you and I met when it made sense and the right conversation led to the right quip led to a first kiss. There is a world where we tackle your sobriety together, where I feel safe talking about each anxious moment, where we crawl into bed each night and talk in the dim light, our heads close and our hands wrapped around each other.
There is a world where it all worked out. We do not live there, and yet we love each other in the ways we can. You recite russian theories of fate to me and I tell you what I've lately learned of primogeniture in the 1800s. We accept one another for who we are and the mistakes we make. We live on opposing coasts, with partners who are not each other, and we love each other as best we can, and pray in our godless way that it is enough.
