The issue I've had with roleplaying is that I've been asking myself "CAN I write this muse?" Instead of "Do I WANT to write this muse?" I've been trying to dip my toe into a bunch of different fandoms because I've been afraid people won't want to write with me if I'm not writing in their fandom. So many muses are at a point where I'm like "Well...I would write them, with the right people" so they're request only. But I think that skirts around addressing the first point I made instead of taking care of the issue.

For those who didn't see last night, I'm considering remaking this blog and moving it to a new account, but keeping all my side blogs intact. I'm taking this busy week to think about who I *really* want to play long-term and so forth so I'm not bogged down by activity I can't muster muse for.

#.ooc #so far many muses are becoming request only and im focusing more on my more challenging but more rewarding muses as the more available ones #because thats what i like more from rp; maybe not a lot of activity but interactions im EXCITED to get to #ig i also hope it will let people know im a writer who is capable of tackling those characters and i WANT to tackle them

Since I'm too busy this week to be here much, I'm going to take the time to think about what I want to do with RP here. I really think it was more manageable when I was on Tumblr playing only a character or two. I really don't think four is too much, or even ten, but as you can see I am. Well above that. My issue is not that I don't like my muses, no, but my activity level (as it is right now) gets hard for me to manage as my attention issues have gotten worse. The effort to do a bunch of drafts doesn't feel worth the payoff, you know?

I think I liked RP more when it was fewer drafts, but maybe more writing/thought intensive. Maybe not super busy, but worth the effort I got out. I like being able to have my time to draw, which is the career I'm building, and pursue my other hobbies.

I've made all my muses people that can be written seriously, but maybe I need to ask myself who I want to write, seriously.

The Commander turned through his notes, then back again. He questioned if she referred to some sort of secretive group affiliation--he knew multiple martial arts orders that may have been relevant. She insisted on sharing her identity, very well, let her come forward.

The blonde looked out at the downpour that started by the time he came out of the grocery store. A heavy sigh left his lips, the weight from bags a reminder of the perishable food he had. The ice cream was going to be half melted at least.

Then, Len flinched as he heard a loud car approaching. 

An old, black charger pulled up in the street beside Len. The car rumbled as it came to a halt. The rain slid across the passenger window. Slowly, the pane rolled down, and the driver appeared in view.

A familiar suited man with long hair smiled over to Len. 

“You look like you need a lift. Care to take up the offer this time? Or would you rather stand out here and do your best impersonation of a wet mop?”
