I headcanon that noisette suffers from depression thanks to her life not being…..great, from before she met noise or got involved with the tower, but she chooses to repress the negative feelings. Things get better for her, but that’s not a magic fix, the depression is still there

She acts silly because that’s who she WANTS to be: someone who is always happy and funny that people want to be around. but she worries that the second she stops being happy and funny the bad feelings will catch up to her and if her loved ones see her like that they won’t love her anymore

thinking so hard about noise and noisette meeting story:

noise (theodore) started off as an aspiring stand-up comedian who jumped from gig to gig at different clubs/cafes/bars because no one thought he was funny (or because he kept throwing hands with anyone who looked at him funny. or both)

noisette (hazel) had to juggle various shifts as a waitress. she also kept getting fired because she was too clumsy (or for attempting to do crimes against food) and getting on her employers’ nerves. she dreamed of saving enough money to open her own place so she can cook whatever she wants without being yelled at or anyone being mean to her

they meet because noise happened to have a gig at the same time and place noisette had a shift and. she was the only person that night who laughed at his jokes lmao

when he tries to flirt with her right afterwards he’s only doing it at first to get lucky. by the end of the night he can’t stop thinking about seeing her again bc he’s an idiot

After that he keeps coming back looking for her and spending hours talking at the counter. everyone around them thinks they’re so obnoxious with how cheesy they’re being (and they are) but neither of them cares (and they shouldn’t)

at one point noisette asks noise for his autograph on a napkin so she can claim she got it first when he becomes famous one day and he’s like “planning on selling it for millions when the time is right? smart” and noisette is like “oh there is NO way I’m ever selling it. when I get my own place I’ll make a hall of fame and this is the first thing I’m hanging on it :) “ and then noise fucking dies instantly

(he does give her his autograph in the end. with his number on it ;) )

(she actually does display the napkin when she opens her own cafe in the tower)

noisette is the only person who can make coffee the only way he likes it (so basically 99% sugar+cream and 1% coffee lol)

at one point noisette’s current boss fires her (and is a huge dick about it). the next day he gets his teeth ~mysteriously~ beaten out of his mouth with a baseball bat

they are Both Weird Losers who found each other at a low time in their lives and became happier (and sillier) over it. goodnight

Okay so bunnies do binkies (jumping all over the place) to show that they’re happy, but only lie down when they feel 100% safe and comfortable right??

Because Noisette does strike me as someone who binkies practically all the time, but she rarely simply lies down and when she does it’s only around people she absolutely loves and trusts. Noise adores helping Noisette bake, even if he isn't good with it. Noisette loves that he wants to help so bad. Noise will even try to teach himself, and he gets close sometimes!
