Okay, happy ending no ... True to them? Yes.
Let's be honest all that trauma wasn't going to get washed away by one kiss.
Soo Hyuk has carried huge burdens and whilst he has feelings for Yoon Dae he is currently presenting as another burden. Yoondae sees Soo Hyuk as his saviour, but you have to put your life jacket on first, snd Soo Hyuk is drowning....
They both need time and space, but is there a future for them? A tentative yes.... The romantic in me with would say an unqualified yes...

So in classic transference Eun Seong makes Hyun Woo the stalker?! Remember she accused him of that. And the bandages hand? Is he literally trying to become Hyun Woo?
But, oh man, to think you are in with a chance and the first words out of her mouth are Baek Hyun Woo? That must have hurt.....
In side notes they are not in Frankfurt but Berlin - spy museum!! And how do they keep several sets of clothing (including multiple jackets) in teeny tiny carry on suitcases......

Ah yes, finally, someone who shares similar thoughts to me on the ending of Love is Better the Second Time Around. I was actually a little taken aback by the number of people who didn't like the ending of the show - or I guess not that people didn't like it, but that people felt the show was trying to secretly blame Miyata. I understand complaints about pacing and there are definenetly things I would have liked explored more in the last two episodes.
But I didn't feel like the show was trying to solely blame Miyata, but rather acknowledge that blame shouldn't be so black and white. By the end of episode 4, I think it was extremely clear how much Iwanaga loves Miyata and deeply regrets causing him so much distress. But, as you were saying, the show is also showing how things change as we grow and mature. And part of getting older is acknowledging other's feelings and examining everything in a more mature light. Running away together wouldn't have worked. And while Miyata carried the hurt from the bet for many years, Iwanaga was also a teenager who ended up enduring a lot of trauma. Adult Miyata can realize what teenage Miyata couldn't - that he wasn't the only one suffering.
Idk, different stuff hits for different people based on our own experiences and interpretations. But I actually enjoyed a show trying to tackle the idea that both people can deserve care and apologies rather than one character eternally groveling for their mistakes.
Yes, exactly. For me one of the core aspects of the show was about growth. They are not the same people they were. They have lived and it has changed them. But also Miyata realises that he knew young Iwanaga was sad and under pressure and that he didn't share that burden then. He makes sure he shares it now. He expressly asks that Iwanaga shows all of himself, that he loves all of him, not just the cool bits. Love truly is better the second time around....

I just don't know where to start with this show. 20 minute episodes that pack an emotional punch that most hour long, 16 episode Kdramas can only dream about.....
These two are so damaged and so in pain and need each other so much, but neither will say it. Soo Hyuk is so burdened and buttoned up. His mother, his father - it is all too much, but he carries it all but is slowly cracking and falling apart. Yoon Dae is angry, so angry, lashes out at everyone and everything...and pushes Soo Hyuk. And yet calls him, wants to be with him.

That scene when she can't tell who it is nearly broke me. The fear of not knowing who is in front of you, of not being able to distinguish..... Of not recognising .... I have been on the other side of that as someone who had a parent with dementia - not being recognised, but to live with that AND have period ls of lucidity.....
Horrifying ..

Random question, but why do most males in Korean dramas have awful nails? They spend all the time on the face/hair and then you get close up of hand and, you are a CEO and worth a mint and you can't get your cuticles sorted? Kinda bugs me .....
See Eun-Sung when he shows her the pendant....

All this.....
What ticks me the most about eun seong is how he always lies and twists the facts... When he told hae in that hyunwoo hesitated before saving her from the boar or when he had moved into the house he told her that hyunwoo didn't care that another man would be living with them. Or when he told da hye that soo cheol hated her after she ran away. And now he fucking lied to hae in that he himself saved her from drowning???? Bitch wtf
