This was a commission sheet that was made by NYANNIE_. Its focus is on the dynamic between @diademreigned G’raha and my Wol Stella. I’m in love with this so much and it honestly put a smile on my face when I received the finished copy this morning. This is one of the many dynamics that I cherish for so many reasons. These two are just perfect with each other:; they love each other beyond what fate has tried to tear them apart. He is the one person she would do anything to ensure his happiness and safety…I just adore them.
DON’T REPOST AND NOT FREE TO USE.

ooc: I want to say sorry that I am so slow at getting things done. To be honest, my health hasn't been the greatest, and I am finding it very hard to write. I will try and work on some stuff tomorrow, but please be patient with me, as this time has been super hard. I promise, I see the asks and replies, but I just haven't had the energy to reply to things at all. I have only talked to a few close friends lately, as that is all that I can handle emotionally right now. I just wanted to update people on where I am at with things. It's hard, but I am trying to get through every day. I hope the rest of you are doing okay. Take it easy when you can, and remember to rest.

Hiroto knew how hard it was to get to this point and how A'atahni and he were both weary of love. For different reasons, but regardless, their past experiences had made it very difficult for either of them to accept when something truly genuine came along. If the two had been their usual selves, they would've simply slept with each other and then moved onto the next, but each morning he would awaken to see the other sleeping against his chest. The soft breathing as he leaned down and pressed his lips to the other before the two would just remain there for a bit longer.
Slowly, their relationship changed from just sleeping together to actually enjoying one another's company in a way that meant more than just a fling. It scared both men for a time, and there was honestly one night that Hiroto believed he had lost A'atahni for good. The first time the Viper had uttered those big three words, to most, it would've probably not seemed like such a big deal, but the other had lost the first man he had loved. C'torih. While Hiroto had been betrayed by someone he had given so much too.
What truly surprised Hiroto was how out of the way he went himself to craft the rings instead of the typical wristlet that couples usually get to propose. It seemed like a headache to spend all that time crafting it but Stella had told him it was more special that way and also a lot more romantic and sweet.
Typical sister behavior though she playful teased Hiroto for getting so anxious over such a simple thing yet it wasn’t. At least not to him. The viper had spent months preparing this night but the entire time his concern was putting his heart out there again. To give all that he was to someone else with the risk of being abandoned. He just wanted everything to be perfect this evening. Which it seems like they had had been since A’atahni just said yes to his question. However, the slight fear that maybe this was just some dream Hiroto had summoned up made his own heart ache slightly.
Tumblr media
“I know that I am not perfect, far from it but I cannot imagine my life without you in it. For years, I believed that love wasn’t for me. If you asked the past me what he thought of marriage..he would’ve seen it as a weakness. I truly believed that at the end, even if I did care so intensely for someone else, they would end up stabbing me in the back. You…stayed. Each morning I expected to wake alone.. It confused me why someone as beautiful as you would truly want to linger beside me."
Hiroto couldn't promise that nothing would happen to him; there were still people from his past out there trying to end him, but he would fight like hell to return to the A'atahni side every night. To give his future husband the happiness that has long been denied. His fingers reached up gently, caressing the other person's lips before leaning in and kissing them once more. It was never enough. Every moment he lay awake, he spent countless nights dreaming of that raven hair and purple hues. How afraid Hiroto was, especially to admit three words. To give himself to someone else again and truly believing they would stay.
It was putting his heart on the line again, not knowing if fate would again snatch someone else he loved away. Slowly, Hiroto cupped A'atahni's face as the tears he had surpassed for years started to fall once more. He wasn't afraid to be more vulnerable in front of the other. After all, the two had seen so much of each other—intimately and deeply than the viper had allowed anyone to see.
Tumblr media
"I love you. Every time we are together, it feels like heaven, and that isn't a feeling I have ever felt in my lifetime. I pushed people away... built so many walls around my heart, and you broke them all down. Despite how hard it was for both of us to open up to love again, I shall dedicate each day to lavish you with affection, holding you close, and whispering sweet words while giving you my entire being. To be a husband worthy of your love."
Reaching up, Hiroto gently grabbed the other braids. A smile formed on his face, recalling the reason the other had dyed his hair partly blonde. It was because of Tsuru, his adoptive daughter. Thanks to that young girl slight nudge, they managed to push past the hesitations they had.
"You raised Tsuru to become such a beautiful and strong girl. I know that many haven't seen the real you or how gentle your heart truly is. I never wanted to be with someone like I do with you, not a single soul and that very thought scares me so much. To put my heart on the line again,,but I trust you."
Hiroto tenderly lifted A'atahni into his arms, then settled against the couch, cradling the other's body against his own chest. Softly, he pressed a kiss to the top of A'atahni's forehead as their hands slowly intertwined. The glimmer of the ring shining in the candlelit room as the two leaned in once more.
I’m not afraid to let love in…not anymore.

From the moment she laid eyes on those mesmerizing crimson hues to the instant the Exarch swiftly caught her, preventing her from hitting the ground, everything seemed to blend together. Despite the impossibility, she had always known it was him deep in her heart. At every opportunity, he made an effort to convince her that the exarch was not the person she thought he was. Yet the sight of those red eyes and the sensation of his arms wrapped tightly around her.
He was G’raha Tia. It was clear that she couldn't deny the possibility that he had legitimate motives for keeping his identity a secret. It had been successful, at least in the eyes of everyone except her. The healers promptly accompanied the Au Ra to her quarters. Upon examining her body, it was evident that her collapse was primarily a result of stress and partly due to her excessive absorbing the Lightwardens primordial light recently.
Stella wanted to be angry and cry out about how unfair it was for the Exarch to keep his identity hidden, but that wouldn't be fair to him. The advisor to the Crystriuam had his reasons for keeping quiet, yet every single time she heard his voice, she felt his strong desire to lay his heart so open and bare. Something he had not allowed himself to do in such a long time. After all, being the person others relied on meant constantly putting your own happiness on hold. It didn’t matter how much you wanted something. The world came first, a fact that Stella was quite used to at this point.
Slowly, pink hues opened as she sat up. At first, she had expected to awaken alone, yet the moment she turned, it was Exarch she saw. Despite his own reasons for keeping silent, he didn't linger longer than necessary. There he was, holding her hand so gently.
“Exarch… I’m sorry. I must’ve overworked myself so much recently. I promised you a dance.”
Now would be the perfect time to ask him again, yet there was a part of the warrior heart that felt it would be selfish to ask the Exarch to reveal everything, but the way he has all but confessed to having deeper emotions towards her. It made the woman's heart struggle with what was the right decision.
Reaching up, her fingers played with the red blossom necklace laying against her neck. The dancer could feel her breathing quicken as she tried to summon all her courage to say the words so etched inside her chest. It was selfish to think about her emotions right now. Not when he had endured so much.
Tumblr media
“I… I don’t expect you to say anything about what I saw. After all, there are reasons we keep quiet about things. I cannot deny what I feel in my heart—what has always been there. Deep down, I knew that it was you, no matter how hard I tried to deny that it was. I slowly accepted that you are a different person than the G’raha that I know, yet simultaneously still him.” Whispered Stella as she reached up and started to lean in for his face but stopped.
He had lived here for centuries, becoming the advisor that these people needed. Even back then, the other had sacrificed so much to seal himself inside the slumbering tower. Not knowing how long it would take until those doors would open again. Tears started to fall down the sides of Stella's face as she reached up and placed her hands over her eyes. The last thing she wanted to do was shed tears in front of him or make him feel guilty for his choice.
It was a decision he hadn’t made so easily, and yet her heart ached at the memories that flowed back into her mind and heart. She hadn’t allowed herself to feel the immense impact his presence had on her life since the day the doors slowly closed in her face. Conflicted emotions and the lingering sensation of his lips against her own were left with her.
"I won’t ask you to tell me everything, nor am I angry at you for trying everything to save this world."
What Stella couldn’t utter was how hurt it made her to imagine him happy with someone else. Lady Exarch, she had been with him since waking here in the first. The two even raised Lyna like their own daughter, and yet the thing that made her heart break was how happy he always seemed to be in whatever stories she managed to hear about the beloved mother of the Crystarium.
“I know you’ve been through a lot. You lost someone who meant the world to you, and yet you haven’t allowed yourself to think about things you want since that day. I know that being the person that others look to for answers is hard. Sometimes we don’t even know if what we are doing or saying is the right path, but you’ve done a good job helping these people survive to this point. They wouldn’t have made it without you, Exarch.”
Why did it feel wrong to refer to him as such when she was well aware of his true name? But again, she couldn’t risk spoiling his identity for others. He had gone this long trying to keep his face hidden from everyone. Playing the part of the crystal tower guardian and keeping his ever-silent watch over this shard.
The amount of pain he went through to endure such a thing, as well as losing someone he cared for so deeply. Reaching up, the Au ra placed a hand on her chest as something ached deep inside, yet she couldn't place it. Slowly, she allowed her hand to reach under the hood and rest against the side of his face.
"Don't go down this path alone—not again."
All she wanted in that moment was to dance with him, yet her heart ached with such complex emotions that it felt like it might burst. Tears dripped down the sides of her face as the light radiating in her body caused Stella to turn away from the Exarch as she coughed into her hand. Pink hues looked down as white blood coated her hand, eyes narrowing as each lightwarden she defeated was one step closer to her becoming one. It was obvious at this point, there was no sense denying such a fact. All of this would end with her death. It had to. No one else here deserved to suffer.
The Exarch kept his hand against hers as they left the Exedra, seeing nothing but the lights of the lanterns and the pillars that surrounded them. The buildings began to glow with the crystalline blue that had always been a trademark for the Crystarium. Shining when the glimmer of the moon - or what should've been the moon - had cast itself onto them. One couldn't remember when something like this had happened before, when the moon had actually been seen.
He found himself slowly curling his fingers against hers, keeping them looped in with his where he could thumb them against the skin, the smoothed edges, the warmth that ran through them. Polished even, painted when they wished. Something like a small detail that he almost believed others wouldn't have noticed.
They got to the steps of the Universalis, downwards they went, where the expanse used to be covered with those that could craft, those who wished to shop for things, and those that wanted nothing more than to have a meal before shutting their windows for the night that never came.
He could finally move to let Stella shuffle from his side to his front, where their hands both met and kept themselves close, just enough for them to bridge the gap between them, secure a better way for them to look at each other.
Though when the Au Ra began to speak, if only she could see the way his eyes turned up, focused entirely on her, though remaining concealed underneath the hood. If only his smile did more to express how he was truly feeling. "Yes, as a matter of fact. Much of the songs that you may here around the Crystarium may have once came with lyrics, notes and tunes that were played with vocals. However, not always. Many of the songs that I used to sing were only for Lyna when she was younger. I suppose being a Bard had its advantages."
Though it would be wrong to say that portion of his life, that part of the ship of his journey had all sailed away. He'd barricaded himself from his past, began anew, swiped what he used to be in favor of what he should be - and he was how the Crystarium saw itself. Whilst it wasn't the most thought out place of civilization, it was something that managed to last for . . . far too long to realize.
The two of them finally began to spin, just as the music began to it. Their legs carried them in time with the sound, in time with the tunes and the strings and the hums of the various instruments that filled the Universalis. So many had vanished, so many had disappeared when they knew the time that it left only them and a few others that wandered, but most knew what they were doing out at this time and chose to keep their own to their work.
At some point the Exarch dared to look down at their feet, to make sure that they were surely stepping in time and in tune with one another, through the spins, the dips, the gentle sways of their hips when they wanted to get close together. When they wanted to spread apart.
A gentle gasp left his throat when she asked about the Lady Exarch. It would've been folly to think that she wouldn't be talked to about it. Or rather heard anything about her, curious as she was, there wouldn't be a time where she hadn't asked. Haven't sought out the answers on her own. Hiding it, shielding it from her . . . it would only bring her more into the curiosity, or that he couldn't quite bear the truth to her when he wanted to. "I cannot keep anything from you ere long can I, my dear?"
Tumblr media
He kept Stella close, bringing her in so that only the two of them could hear the words that were about to be said when he was about to speak. It seemed so unfair to keep her in the dark about certain things, about various words and the history. That's when they slowly began to turn around and around before they moved into a stop.
"It is true that I harbor some . . . relatively affectionate feelings for you. Something of which I believe I do not deserve nor do I have the right to have. Though I confess I may have concealed them for an extended period of time there was no telling how long I would have been able to keep these emotions from you. I think it unfair and unwise, given the situation - but if I were to . . ."
She had begun to pull away, she was starting to get away, so much so that he could feel the way her hand was slipping out of his, away from his.
He had frightened her.
"Do not be frightened, it was not an overstep - nor was it unwarranted. I merely believe that it is important that you speak what you wish. I see no harm in wishing to know the truth I have sheltered from you, that is something which is quite unfair."
Though these words had not been enough, not nearly enough. When the two of them had broken away, even just a little bit, they had collided. Mostly due to the fact that they'd shuffled forward, but he could feel the breeze of the collision move toward his hood, and proceed to shift it ever so slightly.
Ah - Now that was something that was going to worry him above anything else. Mayhap he had some idea that she was slightly aware of his identity, slightly aware of the one concealed under the hood. One couldn't keep such a secret from the one who had seen more than she had bargained for.
"Steady, my dear. Steady. . ." She had seen those eyes, the way his eyes glimpsed up at her, she had noticed the shade. It was unfortunate that he too knew, for the way her eyes themselves betrayed her, oh he would've burst into tears. "Do not fret. . ." He grabbed for her face, hoping she'd look at him. Though the concealment did little to sway her from what she had already known, it may have been enough to keep her upright. "I am here, I swore I would never lie to you. Mayhap you know now. . . Stay with me."
All he wished for them was a dance.
Now he caught her mid-collapse, down into the floorings of the Universalis, speaking her name before her head could ever dare to hit the ground. Things had been a blur, things would remain a blur, but the Exarch didn't stride away. Nor did he dare whisk himself away when she needed him. No - no this would not do.
He had some explaining to do.
"Get me my finest healers, hurry!" His hand never left her cheek, not until she had been transported elsewhere, away from whatever prying eyes sought out the tunes of the Crystarium when one could not sleep.

Stella smiled before taking Aymeric's hand in hers as they walked outside into the city. She realized that since the end of the final battle with Nidhogg, the city had looked to him for guidance. She understood the challenges that accompanied her placement in that position. It was very similar to the weight of responsibilities she had felt since the start of her career.
In fact, the wounds she sustained during the fight were still healing. She took precautions to ensure that no one would notice the wounds she was healing from. After all, as the Warrior of Light, so many people relied on her to keep the world safe. Her own health was the last thing that was on her mind.
Tumblr media
"You've been working extremely hard, especially after everything that has happened. I know Lucia and the others said you haven't had much time to rest. Aymeric, if there is anything I can do to help you, don't be afraid to ask. I care about you," the Au Ra said quietly as the snow fell around them. She had already lost too many people in her life, the last thing she wished for was Aymeric to take on everything alone.
Despite the ongoing repairs, the residents of the city appeared to be happier. Most seemed to even accept her as an Au Ra versus Dragonkin. The thought did nothing but cause the ache in her heart to expand. The way Stella had to hide her face and scales at first was out of fear of how the people here would react. Not to mention the fact that years ago, a few guards in this place were responsible for the death of her parents. It wasn't a topic she felt like discussing at the moment, but maybe one day she would tell Aymeric that story.
Slowly, she led him over to a sitting area before she walked away quietly and brought back two cups. Gently, she handed him one before sitting down next to him.
"I figured we could both use some nice hot tea. I noticed you haven't been leaving your office much, so I did make us a small dinner for later. If you'd like to join me."
Tumblr media
@oathofpromises asked: “ let’s go for a walk. staying here is the worst thing we can do, right? “-from Stella( been wanting to send stuff for a bit but was a little shy;; don’t have to answer this if you don’t want to but would love write some threads with you)
Tumblr media
His posture had faltered some half a bell previous, person uncharacteristically slumped within the confines of a chair, arms idly folded across his person. Quite how long they had been there he couldn't recall, bells had passed at a nigh stationary pace, but hearing his company's voice pipe up against the silence had the commander eject from his thoughts and back to the presence.
Tumblr media
"Aye- I think you're right." Briefly does Aymeric stretch, legs followed by arms ere he chooses to stand and offers his company a hand; "Any longer cooped up idly in here may just send me mad."

“Thank you for taking the time to help me with this.” Krile to Stella
Tumblr media
It wasn’t usual for Stella to visit the Baldesion Annex, given how often she would pay visits to G’raha and Krile. A lot has happened since the scions parted ways after the final battle. Not in the sense that they would no longer have anything to do with each other. It was more that they all had other things on their minds for awhile, which was partly the reason they had decided it was time for Scions to go separate ways for now. At first, it was hard traveling the world alone, but Au Ra was looking forward to seeing them all again when their paths would once again cross. As the Warrior of Light frequently found herself in the midst of countless battles, it was only a matter of time before she received a letter from Krile. At first, Stella was concerned that perhaps something bad had happened since normally the other tended to contact them in person or via linkshell, but instead it was asking Stella to come visit them as soon as she could. The mage had been through a lot too, and what's worse is that she remained behind with the others while the Scions made their journey to fight the final battle.
The pink-haired woman leaned up and rearranged a few books on the shelf. She was aware of how difficult it was for the students to rebuild. Stella had promised to return and assist after her previous mission, and both Krile and G'raha were wearing themselves out trying to sift through so much paperwork. It was truly admirable that the two wanted to continue the students work, with G'raha wanting to try and find his place while Krile was striving to live up to the students name. To continue on what so many had worked hard to achieve.
'Thank you for taking the time to help me with this.'
Stella smiled as she carried a few boxes back into the room and sat them down on the table. It was a lot to get through, but there wasn't anything pressing that needed her attention. The least she could do was help organize things a bit; maybe she could even have some time to properly talk to Krile too.
Tumblr media
"Of course. I know I kind of stole G'raha away for a bit due to a matter, but I did promise to help you sort through all of this. I know it's been a lot for just the two of you to try and get through, but it seems like you have made tremendous progress."
It did seem like Krile had so much on her mind, but it didn't escape Stella's notice that she was wearing a slightly different outfit than her usual one. It was still very similar in color to her last one but seemed more on the artistic side, which made Stella wonder if perhaps the other was learning a new class herself. Would it be rude to ask, considering that wasn't even why Krile had summoned her here in the first place?
"I hope you don't mind me asking Krile, but I noticed the slight appearance change. Are you perhaps looking to pursue a different class?"
It wouldn't be out of the norm for someone to crave learning a new art or type of magic. After all, since Hiroto, her bother had recently popped back into the picture, It had made the Warrior of Light want to learn how to be a viper herself, but she was always the type to crave new sights and learn something new. A few of the scions had even made a slight tease about how Stella already had every class currently at max level.

“You’ve been working really hard. I see that.” - Data to Stella
Tumblr media
How much longer could Stella hold out like this? It was always whatever the world wanted from her, and time and time again, she would always answer the call. A part of her hated how helpful she was—the way that anyone, even a complete stranger, would beg for her assistance in a matter, and slowly one thing would lead to another. The Au Ra raised her bow as she shot another arrow towards the dummy. It hit perfectly, just as it always had, yet her heart didn't feel happy.
With rain on the horizon, she desperately sought any distraction from the overwhelming emotions in her heart. Taking a breath, she was just about to let loose another arrow but stopped as she saw Data leaning against the entrance to the shooting range. The two hadn't seen much of each other recently due to the world needing both of their attention. She wasn't upset at him but rather understood that other things took priority first. That didn't stop the ache from echoing inside her chest.
"Data," whispered the Au Ra as she looked away and let the arrow go. It flew through the arrow, landing perfectly next to her first one. The only reason she had improved as a bard was thanks to G'raha and Data. It wasn't a class she had total confidence in, aside from singing. At least those close to her had complimented her singing voice, not that she believed it was worth much to herself.
'You’ve been working really hard. I see that...'
His statement was filled with nothing but gentleness and honesty, yet it dug into a sore sport she wanted to keep hidden away. Tears threatened to fall down the sides of her face as rain started to pour down around them. A hand reached out towards her, but the woman gently pushed it away.
Tumblr media
"You say that so easily, yet do you understand how much it hurts to feel like nothing you do is good enough?! No matter how much I give to this world and its people, it keeps taking. How long until they destroy everything that I am?"
Stella's voice broke slightly as she grabbed another arrow, turning to aim it at the active dummy again, yet Data slowly placed himself between her and it. His face was serious, but always had that same gentleness to it.
"Get out of my way, Data. I don't know why you are bothering to come see me. I am the last person that deserves your time." muttered the Au Ra as the tears slowly started to fall down her face. A part of her hoped the rain pouring down around the two of them would hide it, but he probably could already tell.
He slowly tried to pull her into his chest, but Stella placed her arms between the two of them, keeping him at arm length. There was a mixture of anger and sorrow inside her eyes and in her voice. A woman who always gave so much and never asked for anything in return.
The truth was, Stella felt tired.
All her life, the only thing she knew was that nothing ever lasted. Someday fate would take away everyone she cared about, and once again, that painful loneliness she had felt as a child would creep back into her heart. It was the last place she wished to end up, yet lately every day felt like an endless cycle.
"I know you care about me, but at the end of the day, all I do is destroy everything I touch. Eventually, that will reach you too. Even my own brother hates my guts. I can't say I blame him. After all, it's because of me that my parents died and that he was sent away to a place that tortured him for years. A part of me wishes he had just ended me during our fight. There are plenty of other warriors of light out there. I am not special; I never have been."
It hurt to say those words, yet a part of Au Ra felt like it would always be her that someone else would suffer. She knew that the battles she engaged in would inevitably draw her loved ones in, resulting in injuries or worse for some. Stella held down on her bow so hard that she accidentally felt her fingers brush against the arrow. A hiss emitted from her lips as she dropped the weapon and turned away from Data.
"Thank you for your words, but the reality is that I am the cause of so much pain. I will end up losing you. G'raha...the scions. Anyone that means the world to me will leave or worse, and I don't think I can survive that. Not again."
There it came, the painful sobs escaping her lips, as Stella quickly reached up to cover her eyes. The last thing she wanted to do was break down like this, but how many people had actually checked in on her lately aside from those who normally did? Hardly anyone, and what hurt the most is that part of her felt even more undeserving of those who did love her.
A sudden warmth came as Stella felt herself pulled close to Data's chest, one of his hands supporting the back of her head and the other around her waist. He said nothing at the moment; he simply allowed her to shed those tears. After all, the two had always been there for each other, no matter what. He was the last person who would leave her to drown in all this sorrow alone.
Why did so much hurt? It felt suffocating to even breathe some days, and yet she kept trying. Even though it was the hardest thing to act like nothing was wrong when reality was that her heart was slowly breaking from everything and maybe a part of her didn’t care anymore.
“I’m….sorry.”
