Sorry if we couldn’t get your favorite on here, we were limited to only 12 options (11 if you don’t include the “other” option).

#when they cry and it's not even close! #i'm obsessed with cyclical narratives in general (think of rgu!) and i love it the most when time loops lean into the same allegory. #the idea of the eternity of trauma! utena was very much the idea that “nothing is eternal.” #the days pass so quickly and yet so slowly and when i look at rgu and anthy - the only thing that was 'behind the door of eternity' was #anthy's heart locked in the coffin of trauma and abuse but utena herself proved that eternity was another falsehood. #time and ptsd do a lot of weird things together - sometimes even a day can feel like an agonizing eternity #but then sometimes the days blend together to the point that you don't remember that so many have passed in the first place. #that's very much the core of 'time loops' in higurashi (and umineko if you want to define it as such which doubles down on this).

Maybe this is just me but I am really surprised that 2023 was the first time a lot of people heard about Palestine because 2021 was when settlers tried expelling Palestinians from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah - this then escalated to the IOF attacking Palestinians in Al Aqsa and throughout the country (almost 300 Palestinians in Gaza were killed and thousands were injured) - there were massive protests all over the world in response. 2021 really laid the foundations for everything that is happening now but it surprises me how little people actually mention the uprising then or were even aware it was happening.
