I'm closing the ask and submission boxes

This blog is not active and while I didn't mind coming back to answer some series-related questions, this blog is not really for casual conversation (and certainly not RP) and I'm sorry if my recent answering of asks has given off that impression

Probably should have done this a lot sooner but I literally wasn't even getting asks until recently

If I ever decide to truly come back to this blog I will re-open everything again but in the meantime you can reach me on main @kirinda-ondo

"Thomas Astruc (creator of miraculous ladybug) will direct astro boy reboot".do you think if we talk to him on instagram maybe he would put cobalt and chil tan in the series?

As nice as that would be, I highly doubt that would work, given the nature of show production and how many thousands of messages he likely receives across social media

But maybe we'll get lucky and our boy will show up somehow anyway! (assuming this series ever gets out of development hell)

Just a reminder, these episodes are in Japanese and do not have English subtitles! Unfortunately those simply do not exist as of right now, but it's generally not too hard to follow along

Um, Anon, this is a blog where I post random screenshots of Cobalt Astro Boy. Or at least it would be if it weren't inactive

I'm not sure if you sent these to the wrong person, or if my opinion on various dinosaur media is vital to your enjoyment of this blog, but uh, this is not really the place for non-Cobalt Astro Boy related questions (@kirinda-ondo is the place for that lol)

For what it's worth though, I have seen neither of these, sorry!

Howdy, friends. It's been awhile, hasn't it?

I haven't posted anything to this blog in ages due to an assortment of life things, but I still see y'all actively like and reblog posts, which I think is really cool and I appreciate you.

But that isn't really the point of this post. I would like to take the time to honor astroboy-online forum moderator AprilSeven, who passed away recently on November 6, 2020, after a long battle with cancer.

She was very sweet and encouraging to everyone, a fantastic artist, as well as being pretty much the original Cobalt fan, having watched the 1960s series back when it aired in the US. She was deeply invested in finally getting ahold of the episodes that had never been dubbed in the west.

After fighting expenses and region locks, she was able to acquire those episodes and shared them on a small server, one where I and a few other fans interested in Cobalt or the 60s series in general were invited. At the time, I couldn't download the episodes due to technical difficulties, so I screenshotted the hell out of them to remember them by, as many episodes would only be up temporarily since the server could only hold so many at a time.

It's thanks to her that I was able to finally experience these undubbed episodes for the first time, and it’s the source for at least 98% of the repository of ridiculous screenshots that allowed me to start this blog in the first place. While I managed to find another source for the episodes several years later, we still wouldn't be here without her generosity.

I don't know when I will come back to this blog, but I figured I would at least give a final shoutout to the person who allowed me to be here in the first place.

Thank you, AprilSeven. You were always so kind, generous and supportive, and I'll never forget you.

If you knew her and would like to share your condolences with the other members of AB-O, a thread has been posted here.

Hello, friends.

I just want to announce I’m putting this blog on hiatus for a bit. Life’s kind of kicking my butt right now and unfortunately, “post more Cobalts” is not the answer, so I’m taking a break. I hope to come back soon, but in the meantime, feel free to hit me up at @kirinda-ondo if you have any questions about any of my earlier posts here (or if you just wanna hang).

Anyway, thanks a million you guys for supporting this blog. Keep being rad and I hope to be back in business again soon. <3
