I also noticed you conveniently avoided answering the question about paying taxes for these layout charges. funny, that.
i .. i did? are you talking about this .. anon .. that i answered? i paid $500 in taxes this year towards this 'side venture' if you're genuinely curious, i don't really know how i avoided answering anything? are you okay?
i'm also still staring at your other message that came in insanely hot, to be honest, i have no clue how to answer you. i'd really rather you just come off anon if there's an issue of some sort that you'd like to discuss, or if i've done something to offend you.
edit: can you clarify what you mean by 'layouts'? i'm a little confused what exactly you're referring to /specifically/.
actually nevermind, i just realized you're sending these charged anons to other rphs too. 😭 can you please relax. everything is going to be okay i promise.

this is probably SUCH a left-field question, but i'm staring at your luna moth carrd and i'm just dying to know what character/art you used for the preview of it on ko-fi?
haha it's a character from the gacha game onmyoji! i don't play it, but it has THE prettiest official artwork.

hi, kairi! i wanted to ask if comms were open? ☺️
hihi! they are closed at the moment. i've been keeping my commission status updated on my trello which is linked at the top of my pinned; feel free to check there for updates! that said, i have a back log and i've just been doing a few here & there for close friends so i don't anticipate public comms in the super near future. ;w;

until 02 - 29 - 24, all items in my shop are 20% off with code PALETTESALE02! just enter it at check out. ☆
i also have two skeb-style icon border slots open, and three template upgrade slots open! if you're interested in either, just hop on over here and place your order.

hello! i'm sorry if this is such an odd question and you don't have to answer if you're not comfortable sharing! but do you report your ko-fi / carrd earnings for taxes as a small content creator? i'm wondering if it's something i should be doing!
hey, no problem at all!
things have become a little confusing because the irs is pushing changes to the reporting thresholds, that have been delayed and adjusted over the last couple years and going forward, and a lot of the information i've sought out is just ... all over the place.
if you live in the US, i highly encourage you to seek out information on these tax changes. the threshold for reportable income is $20,000 this year, but it will be $5,000 next year and $600 the year after that, according to what information is available right now. either way, all earned income should be filed and reported, according to the irs.
so--short answer: yes, report your ko-fi and carrd earnings! you should have received a notification on paypal that they sent your 1099 form to the irs and you can download it through paypal as well for when you go to file.

Hello kaeri! One question, when will you open commissions again?
hey hey! i'm honestly really behind on a current client's order as i'm juggling full time work and two classes and life, so i really don't know. q_ q i want to be able to take more commissions but for the foreseeable future i'm just too busy .... ; ;

hey so i just want to put it out there ... if i say you can use my carrds as a 'base' or 'inspiration', that means two things and two things only: you can use my work as an inspiration to build off of and make your own, yourself, while still crediting me fully. it does not mean you pay another creator to edit my carrds for you. when you ask for permission to use my templates as a base and i say yes, that is not me giving consent to have money exchanged using my work. be upfront about it if that's what you want, they're very different things.
