“Breathe,” he stammers as he crouches down your height and holds onto your shoulders, “Breathe, please.”

He hated this. Hated when, despite all the strength that was given to him by his Vision, by his master, and even by you, he couldn’t do anything but just watch. Watch as you break in front of him, tears streaming down your eyes and breath turning shallow.

He was trembling the same as you were, eyes wide stricken, and throat dry, unable to speak, unable to do anything else.

What can he do?

His mind rattles on as he could only think back of how you’d always act whenever his karma finds its way to attack him and try to beat him, only to awaken at the sound of your voice and the coolness of your hand on his skin.

Only then could he breathe.

“Shh… shh, love,” he coos, trembling hands cupping your face, gloves discarded, his thumbs caressing your tear stricken cheeks and wipes away any tear that attempts to escape your already puffy eyes, “shh, my angel, I’m here.”

He watches with his gaze, observes whether you’d flinch from his touch or try to pull yourself away, only for you to lean more into him.

He pulls you into his arms by then—not too strong, too fearful he’d hurt you—“I’m here, I’m here,” he heaves out a sigh of relief once he feels the tension on your body ease down, leaning even further into him.

That was all he wanted.

He wanted you to breathe.

The same way you helped him do the same thing.

NOTES. i decided that i’ll probably post a few drabbles here and there while i also focus on answering requests. i couldn’t find a comfort xiao req so i went and just wrote one. i’m not feeling well today… and i almost announced i’ll be taking a break here. though i’m okay now… atleast, so most likely i won’t take a break. anyway, hope this kind of helped to anyone who needs it, because it did to me:)
