Hello! Thank you for reading. This post pretty much just details the rules and boundaries in place for this pokémon blog in particular. If you feel something should be added, pls let me know :))

Send an ask with an emoji/name of the OC you wish to interact with (you can find the correlating emoji next to the oc's name in pinned), alongside a starter, if you wish to RP.

You do not have to, but I do recommend viewing the lore post. I prefer to stick within theme, and things that deviate from the theme of this blog sort of frustrate me, so if you plan on creating an OC based around this AU for interactions, I request that you do read the lore post; if you're a faller, that is easier to improv and would allow me to essentially guide you through the world.

Please do not pester me for responses. I usually type replies on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays (after 2pm EST), Sundays & Mondays. Tuesdays, Wednesdays I usually do not reply to any roleplay responses. If you harass me for a reply, you will be blocked.

Please do not send pokémon eggs if you believe they should have to be characters.

If you participate/reblog in ask games I create, please be mutual and send an ask so I can also send you an ask :))

In-Character hate is not allowed. Judging the AU, genre/theme, is also not allowed. This ain't your mother's pokémon.

OC rotomblrs, Fallers, Canon related tumblrs are all allowed to interact with this blog. If you're wondering why, you can reference the lore post, it's underneath the whole faller section there.

I do not respond to one-liner responses. I request that everyone writes at least 3-4 sentences each response so that way there's at least something to go off of. Usually, I'd request 3-4 lines, but some people use mobile and others use the website, so that isn't really fair or appropriate of me to ask that people write 3-4 lines, haha.

Do NOT control my character in any way, including Turo (the one I control, at least, in our roleplays). This includes dialogue, mind reading, etc. Your character doesn't know mine; however if you'd like them to, I don't mind collaborating for ideas on how to write an OC for that. I just ask that in roleplay, you should never type out "Eserine walked across the room," unless I typed it in the response before and it is what your character is watching me do. A better example would be person B (not me) saying/typing, "Eserine walks over to the lab machinery and tinkers with it, accidentally electrocuting herself in the process." Pls don't do that :))

Anti-trans, gay, or anything like that is not supported on this blog. If there's a trans OC, don't send an ask saying how much you dislike it. It'll be deleted and not posted, so no one else will see it.

🐍Eserine Glare: 20s, she/her pronouns. Lab assistant to Faller Turo, who came from the past. Specializes in fairy & poison types. Her team is consists of Toxicroak, Togekiss, Alolan Muk, Galarian Koffing, Dachsbun, and Rimbombee.

🧪Faller!Turo: Is the Turo of Scarlet & Violet that transported to another world. He has memories of his son and wife, but has no idea how long it has really been since he's been gone. All he remembers is programming his AI to protect his lab in his stead. He is not available to roleplay with directly, but he is available to interact with during Eserine’s roleplays when present, or you may request to speak with him, but keep in mind he is not a character I'm willing to have romantic or direct roleplays with. He's just a supporting character for Eserine's arc! He has a Metagross, Golurk, and Musharna as his usual team.

Official in-game art for professor Turo. I do not claim to own this image, turo as a character, etc. Just for roleplay purposes and to make this post more eye-easy, I just wanted to include a reference of Turo.

🗡Clyde Skyforge: In 20s, he/they pronouns. Goes by he/him when he's out during normal hours; essentially just going by who he is commonly known as. However, at night past curfew…they become the hooded vigilante that traverses all over Paldea with their beloved Greninja & Lotad, saving innocents from the tyranny of the corporations that rule over them. Clyde comes from a family of pokémon rangers, however since the outlaw of Rangers in the Pokéregions nationally, they resorted to saving people and pokémon alike from the oppressive claws of the corporations. The Skyforge family has a legend…but only he may tell it to those who are willing to listen. His team consists of a Chandelure, Greavard, Kingambit, Weavile, Thievul, and Venosaur.

🍯Melina Honeypot: Young Adult (18-21). they/them pronouns. Melina often goes by Mel, and is an activist that fights to stop the constant destruction of the pokémon natural environs that is leading to the endangerment & extinction of many pokémon, causing them to be replaced by robotic versions of themselves and no one knows how. However, Mel has their theories. They work alongside Eserine at times. Mel’s team consists of a Vespiqueen, Combee, Roserade, Muk, Alolan Raticate, & Mothim.

📊Carlee Bailey: In late 30s. Is one of the main antagonists of the AU world. She is the president of the New Pokéregion Unity, the new founded government system that took the world by storm after the war. The corporation she owns and operates is known as Shardlife Corporated, often called ShardCo., which harvested Tera Crystals for recreational and conventional use and destroyed the Paldean Crater to do so. The crater is now a toxic wasteland, unable to be traversed into without proper PPE. Carlee is a mastermind and no doubt evil, and has absolutely no care about the world she's destroying. Climate Change, Holocene Extinctions, and more are her doing, and her allowing the destruction of the world to meet her greedy needs. Her team consists of Reuniclus, Noivern, Clefable, Dhelmise, Absol, & Mightyena.

What timeframe is Paradoxal Hope set?: This AU is set 150 years after the events of Pokémon Violet (or scarlet, doesn't matter much). In this world, a company known as Shardlife Corporation, or ShardCo., rules over the world and its government, which is now called "The United Poké-Regions," or the UPR.

What is 'Shardlife Corporation,'?: After the events of Era Violet (what it's called in-AU), a war occurred where a race to harness the Tera Shards within Area Zero caused mass uproar and unrest, and many corporations and companies raced to be the first ones to figure out how to use the power. Gregory Bailey, the founder of Shardlife, discovered many different properties for the shards, even a way to end the war that raged within area zero. Today, Area Zero is heavily guarded by drones and soldiers, and anyone caught trying to sneak in will be executed, according to rumor. No one really knows how they ended the war, many theories were created, but none confirmed nor denied.

What are some conflicts in this AU?: Man versus Nature, Man versus Technology, Society versus Technology, Society versus Corporations.

What pokémon are present in this world?: Some paradoxal fakemon exist, however they have OC names and descriptions. I'm unsure if they actually exist or were created by other creators; because to tell you the honest truth I don't actually view a lot of other creators stuff. I see things in passing at times, but it's not like I go out and seek it. It's not my thing. That said, if I do accidentally copy someone, let me know so I can change it or at the very least ask them to review it to see their thoughts on the subject.

As I draft more stories, create arcs, and more, the lore may be updated and/or changed, things added to it, etc. Thank you for reading!

What's the deal with fallers?: This world is heavy on multiverses. In this world, that means multi fandom universes. Anyone from any universe is welcome within this one, however humanoid creatures will be fully human and fit the human society and world of this one, and those who appear as creatures become Pokémon with their own typing based on Canon types (or you can make one up idc get creative). For example, one of my friends/rp partners has an illager oc that turned into a pokémon. This is because illagers & villagers, and creatures like them, turn into pokémon within this world, and players (like the Steve dude) turn into trainers/humans respectively. Fursonas would turn into Pokéhuman hybrid type creatures. The point is, you wouldn't look at all how you did in your world and you would turn into whatever would suit you best in this worlds au. If you need help with creating a starter or making an oc for this au, do not hesitate to ask questions or dm me!

What is the genre, theme and/or aesthetic of the AU?: The theme explores how corporate influence on an otherwise natural world can corrupt the natural balance. The future Paradox Pokémon in violet gave me inspiration to create this AU, to explain in my own thoughts and headcanon essentially, how Paradox Pokémon came to be. This AU touches heavily on the idea of a Holocene Extinction, which pretty much is the concept where human activity has caused many of our natural Flora and fauna to go extinct, causing food drought, civil unrest, and more. In this world, drones & heavily armed soldiers exist. In a way, it mixes elements of cyberpunk 2077 with Pokémon, turning it into a rated T-M for teen-mature story-arc that involves a lot of conversation about environmental destruction, technology consumption, and more.
