Very specific question... has anyone heard any park music in the gift shop recently? The last 2 or 3 times I visited and heard orchestral music, which I assumed was down to timing or a one-off thing, but hearing old ride themes always puts such a big smile on my face and I’m staring to worry... :,(

Source... me! I scanned (and attempted to restore) this one. I suspect this was was a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy, so apologies for the awkward angle + cut off!

The Great Glass Elevator, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the ride). 

#alton towers #the film played on the elevator actually made it online some 10 years ago... in 240p. #there's a website in desc but it's defunct and the wayback machine captures are bugged. #I found a possible source / mirror but the files are viewable through flash (nope) or a download linked (password protected). #I reached out but the site is owned by a group of people and im not counting on the person(s) responsible being active a decade on. #I was wondering if anyone had any ideas...? It'd really be a shame for this to be lost to time. #it was one of my favourite parts when i was younger. it would probably still be if i had the chance to ride it.

Found through a gate near The Games Bunker, props used in the ‘Freak Show Scare Zone’ for 2016-17 scarefests, as well as the 2020 ‘Freak Show : Toxic Junkyard’. This sign is usually displayed right outside the gate, so it’s likely it was used and dumped, and has remained here since 2020 :(.

Good news for Toyland Tours fans, they're still using the theme song in the entrance shop! and, weirdly, all the variations? The Sonic version that plays occasionally is the only remnant of Sonic at the park I could find, since the remaining Sonic Spinball notice sign was removed since when I last checked some time in 2019.

oh, and you can still find the old Air logo on the walls if you look out for it.
