Do you know where your luggage is going after check-in? To a Bag room! The ramp agents are responsible for loading your bags into the containers and then into the aircraft hold.
I had to go to the bag room because unfortunately, some passengers did not connect to our flight. In terms of aviation, these passengers were INBOUND and had NOSHOW at our boarding gate due to delayed arrival in Toronto. Most of the passengers came from Vancouver. Our task as Baggage Agent and transfer these bags to the last carrier in this case Westjet.

Aviation is full of emotions - Every day is different - Yesterday was a very peaceful day. However, today We had to connect all of this baggage again on connecting belt. Working as a team is more meaningful. I love to work with AF KL Team!

As a result, many passengers left their bags at customs and proceeded to their connecting flights without their bags. But as Baggage Agents, we are responsible for sending luggage to the destination of each passenger, which we call Rush Bags.

It's been a tough week for us as ground staff. The Aircraft's door that unloads the flight's cargo and baggage, does not work correctly for a few minutes due to cold weather conditions, causing dissatisfaction among passengers while waiting for their luggage. But with professionalism and teamwork, everything went well!

My journey at Aviation began in December 2012, in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. I had never thought of working in the Aviation, I was invited to join in TAM Airlines team, due to my fluent English, and since my first day of training, I fell completely in love!
A few years later, due to an economic crisis, which affected Brazilian Aviation, I focused on my personal life, traveling and exploring the world.
On December 2018, I Joined Air France - KLM, In Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. As a passenger service on the front line of check-In. Months later I started training in the arrival department, where I learned the entire procedure of opening delayed and damaged baggage reports. 2 years and 9 months later, in September 2021, I decided to move to Canada and study more about Aviation, at the renowned Seneca College, in the Flight Services Operations and Cabin Management course. In November 2021, 2 months after my arrival in Toronto, I applied to work at Air France - KLM at Toronto Pearson airport, and since then I've been dedicating myself every day to passenger service. I am honored to create this blog and share my daily experiences. Thanks!
