I finally picked up where I left off a few months ago and finished #handcarding the #yarnscraps I plan to blend the scraps with the natural variegated roving from @sheridanflats to make a muted rainbow gradient yarn. The Gimster is a bit out of sorts this evening after some dental work (teeth cleaning and extraction of 4 incisors that were affected by significant periodontal disease) as well as the removal of an eyelid margin mass that has been growing. He has always been very sensitive to anesthesia and sedation in that it usually takes him a couple of days to get over it… and he is quite whiny (even when it was straight cleaning with no extraction). He slept for almost 3 hrs after getting home. He just had a small supper with a dose anti inflammatory and did his business. So hopefully, he will settle and go back to sleep soon. He won’t be able to sleep in his crate with his cone on, so I think I will just sleep on the couch next to him at least for a couple of nights until he is not as stoned from the drugs…. #labradorsofinstagram #labradorable #puplife #monsieurlabrador — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/3nDMrtS

A weekend of making, fixing, and repurposing… besides completing and blocking my latest FO, the #bloominhtextureshawl , and worked on a couple of my WIPs, this weekend, I also fixed a bunch of holes on my sweater and socks, as well as frogged (for non knitters: “rip-it rip-it”) a cardigan I completed 5 years ago (one of the first few garments I made). The cardi never fit well because I was not very good with swatching and sizing at the time, and I wore it no more than 5 times. I snagged this sweater in December and I finally got around to fixing it. This is definitely very #visiblemending !! I used the Swiss darning method, which is essentially using duplicate stitches to create a small patch of fabric. It is not very pretty, but it has the elasticity of a stockinette fabric and all the live stitches are now secured.
