something I really like about the batfam is the specific breed of angst it brings.

I really like (fictional) situations where one or both parties get hurt, but neither party really did anything wrong. Or at least, the actions of one or both of them are understandable and sympathetic. The hurt can be emotional or physical, regardless, it’s the kind of juicy angst I drink right up. And then if they can make up afterwards? That is my favorite type of character drama.

(they usually don’t make up unfortunately bc comics are fast paced so they just breeze right on by to the next thing but yk. If they DID)
