DISSOCIATION SWAG COMPETITION... 2!!!

What is Dissociation Swag Competition?

Dissociation Swag Competition is a Tumblr bracket-style tournament meant to pit fictional characters against each other who have (canonically or headcanon) dissociative disorders! These include, but are not limited to:

Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)

Depersonalization-Derealization Disorder (DPDR)

Otherwise Specified Dissociative Disorder (OSDD)

Unspecified Dissociative Disorder (UDD)

Dissociative Amnesia

Dissociation as symptoms of other disorders (including anxiety, depression, PTSD, BPD, OCD, and many others)

This is NOT meant to romanticize mental illness. Instead, this is to celebrate characters like us and push for more positive representation!

Round 1 was run back in February and March 2023, and now we're running a second round of it!

NOMINATIONS

You can nominate characters with this form! Just keep in mind the following rules:

Fictional characters only, no real people!

Characters do not need to canonically have a dissociative disorder, headcanons are accepted

Characters featured in round 1 can be nominated, except for Shallan Davar (Just to avoid having the same winner in round 2)

Submit one form per character, start a new form to nominate a new character!

Only submit one form per character, no spam nominations!

NOMINATIONS WILL CLOSE SEPTEMBER 30TH, 2023

Bracket size, timelines, etc will be announced closer to nominations ending, stay tuned!

Made by @a-r-finch my last tournament failed to gain traction so lets hope this one does.

Just as important as the hero and villain, the mentor and the student is just as crucial. It's through the mentor the student learns how to be a better hero. So lets so whose relationship is the best.

Rules

The mentor has to actually teach the student. Be it how to fight or life lessons.

If the characters have had multiple portrayals you have to say from which series. There have been plenty of shows and movies with the Ninja Turtles and Master Splinter

Live action, animation and video games all apply.

If we don't reach enough submissions this tournament will end up like the last one. Now lets get it on!

I love her

she is simply iconique …. the pretty guardian who fights for love and justice … princess of the moon deeply in love with humanity … also id be kinda mad if some kind of magical girl didnt win this tournament

Moon Knight

Moon Knight is an underrated character who's been around since the mid-70's, but has only recently gotten the more attention he deserves since the Disney+ adaptation. However, I am a firm comics supremacy believer and can attest he is even cooler in the comics. The current run (Moon Knight 2021) is the best he's been written in quite some time for example, as it's friendly to veteran fans and new fans alike!

Moon Knight is not your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man; he will fuck you up if you deserve it, and benefits from the fact that many villains are terrified of him.

Moon Knight is canonically Jewish, and though he is non-practising, it plays a major part in his story and identity.

It's also worth noting that Moon Knight has DID, with three identities: Marc Spector (host), Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley.

He's such an interesting and compelling character. The comics have spawned countless hilarious memes (I know you're here Dracula you big nerd wheres my money; random bullshit go; etc). The show was amazing, and Oscar Isaac acted his ass off

They are so cool; they're both canonically Jewish and have DID

One of the most unique superheroes out there due to being plural. Really cool, too.

I love him, your honor. I'd like to say more but the truth is I only watched the show and I will leave the propaganda to comics fans.

umbreon is so cool and while i prefer espeon, it's definitely one of my favorites (specifically my third favorite)

Moon Swag Tourney : Submissions!!

Hi, welcome to the Moon Swag Tourney! We're here to put moon-themed bad bitches against each other, and see who ends up on top!

Feel free to send questions via the askbox! I plan on working on the specifics of the tournament while submissions are open. (They close on July 13th.)

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Submit as many characters as you'd like! However, spamming the same character in the forms will disqualify them. Please don't.

Only one or two characters will be allowed per franchise, for variety's sake.

All the characters will need to be related to the moon in a significant way. It doesn't have to be there entire character, but ideally it's an everlasting thing, or a very major event. If I'm unsure of someone, I'll make a post asking for opinions!

I don't want to exclude many fandoms (even ones I personally dislike,) but any characters from Harry Potter, real life, South Park, or MCYT will be auto-rejected. I hold the right to reject others, but I will try to keep it fair by limiting this!

Don't harass me or anybody rooting for specific characters. You will be blocked.

I am a very busy person. I apologize if any delays occur but I'll do my best to prevent them!

Welcome to the best of the possessed!

Here we'll be pitting all those that have haver been taken over by a foreign (malicious or otherwise) entity against each other to see who rules!

After Submissions are over rules will be posted!

Mod is accepting any and all questions during submissions

Rules for Submission

Had to be possessed at some point as in the entity took over their body and performed tasks using their body, doesn't matter if it was okayed or not

Doesn't strictly have to be ghosts that possessed them, as long as they were able to control the persons body in some way Ex. Venom & Eddie Brock

Aiming for a 64 bracket competition but will adjust size depending on number of submissions

Submissions will be open for 3 days but I might close them early

Do not submit a character more than once but you can submit multiple different characters

No characters will be automatically included! All based on number of submissions and the case made to me

It's currently 43.8 to 56.2. If we manage to pull back up and make it to the next round, I'll use some of our limited hand usage to work on what we have planned next.

Otherwise we'll probably won't work on it after the new Zelda game is due back on the sixteenth.
