Oh no you mean the boys couldn't connect with a superhero movie where there are 3 superheroes but none of them are men? And two of them are not white and one is not even Christian. Oh I am shocked. Especially when the powerful antagonist is also not white male. You don't say. And the supporting roles have men but one is black and the other is Asian and rest are muslims?! So cruel!!! And even the lab tech minions are black and brown ?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There ARE MORE CATS THAN WHITE MAN?! I am shocked? Shocked that they hate it. Must be the bad acting of Oscar winning lead and critically acclaimed directors fumbling, can't be anything else. Am sure all the reviews are unbiased. So sad.

Using cannibalism as a metaphor of love in Sweeney Todd

I remember I read on TikTok is that someone said that cannibalism in literature using love and intimacy as a metaphor. And I thought of this with Sweeney Todd bc this musical is about cannibalism

We know Sweeney Todd is about revenge and murder but also about love.

Like there's a love story between Anthony and Johanna and Sweeney was motivated by love

And for Mrs Lovett,

We know cannibalism in the musical is about capitalism but it's also about love and intimacy as I have mentioned before

In A Little Priest, when Mrs Lovett have an idea to Sweeney of using victims body as a meat for her pies showing her revealing her "love" for Sweeney from her delulu ass
